Not worth 1*. Terrible service from this carpet shop. Firstly the fitters disappeared for the afternoon then came back at 5 to carry on fitting didn’t leave until 7 and wanted to do the same the next day! They left a terrible mess it looked like they had tipped bags of carpet clippings in every room. They refused to tidy up. I went to the shop to show the pictures of the mess to be told that’s what they do! So be prepared for a few hours of cleaning after they leave. We spent thousands on carpets and I wish we had gone elsewhere Avoid Avoid. We have save the pictures if anyone wants to see them

We dealt with Jon at the Ilkeston branch who was very helpful he also came to measure the room. The carpet fitters were good, came at the time they said they were coming and moved the furniture for us. Very happy with the service.

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with this shop. Carpet was fitted not the way we wanted. We have a stairs with the edges and were expecting that the carpet will be fitted according to the shape of the stairs (I think it is called Hollywood style) but it was fitted so called standard way, where the gaps are left between the stair and the carpet. Also fitters have damaged wall paint, scratched skirting boards and door frames. When we came back to the shop to discuss the issue, we found out that the shop won't do anything about it as apparently fitters claimed that they have informed us about the possible damage (which is an absolute lie as they have made a comment about our paint quality only after they damaged it, saying that it was the type of the paint which you touch and it will peel off). Also, they said that we had to tell them about this Hollywood type fitting. I can partially agree with this comment, but we are not carpet fitters and don't work with this on a daily basis, and I think staff members should mention about possible fitting options before taking orders rather than blaming customers after the job is done. Also, no one told us in advance that carpet leftovers will be left at our property, and we will have to dispose it ourselves. In conclusion: we were left with the damages which we will have to fix at our own cost, also with the carpets fitted not the way we wanted and the shop will keep the money, very clever!!!

Thought I would give them a second chance after my first floor had a hole gauged in it done by the fitters. How silly was I, had the floor fitted but they didn't finish it, was told they would be coming to finish it on two occasions nobody turned up I've now got to finish it myself. I spoke to jamal I think very rude and found it funny that I was in this situation he completely fobbed me off, however AJ I think, was more to his word when I spoke to him more professional than his colleague. However I will not be recommending to use this company if anyone happens to be looking for flooring.

Worst business I've used in my entire life. Avoid at all costs. All of the beading came up (derby store) and it was chasing and chasing and being ignored. Eventually fitter tried to blame me but was embarrassed to discover it had even come up down the side of beds that are never moved ,he said its because it's rubbish mdf they use now instead of wood. Carpet at top of stairs came up had to be refitted and I'm still left with beading that needs putting down (literally a few feet which would take him literally minutes) and say I have to pay the £30 as I got the day wrong. Had they dome job correct in first place there would be no need for anyone to coming to rectify the beading. Read on another review all the beading had come up. Caught the fitters bare faced lying on a number of occasions and I'm a woman and I was yelled at by the manager (man) of the derby store. I cannot advise you enough to keep away from these cowboys. I'm now left with a gap in my beading, beading that is completely up and I'm going to have to pay a "proper' fitter to do the job for me. Their warranty says you are guaranteed for 2 years but they faill to mention they will still charge you more to put right what they did wrong in the first place. Just money grabbing no care for csromer
Can't speak of other stores but the derby one stay as far away from as possible. Rude fitters, appalling customer service and a botched job they've the audacity to expect me to give them more money for. My son said my mum isn't quite back yet and he said he'd pop back shortly. Of course he didn't so for the sake of ten mins they expect me to pay them to fix the job THEY didn't do right in the first place. Avoid at all costs!! If this stops 3 people giving the heartless manager 3k or more,it's worth it.

Fantastic... .I had my bedroom fitted with a good quality carpet .I was so pleased .I ended up having my landing stairs & living room done all fitted today. By kieth .he his a kind helpful professional gentleman . Fitted to a high standard..I highly recommend carpet stop from start to finish.. I give you 100%.on quality !!! .price !!!. & service .!!!. I had laminate flooring put down from the Bulwell shop in Nottingham. From going into the store to emails and phone calls from Amraez he was always polite and helpful and made the whole experience so much easier he really is a lovely man. The laminate flooring was professionally done and is absolutely beautiful, would deffo choose this company if u want flooring. I still need laminate at the top of my stairs and vinyl for the bottom and will deffo be using this shop again 5 ☆

Absolutely over the Moon had vinyl put in my kitchen and carpet all up the stairs and on 3 landings very professional fitters even gave me a new door bar in the kitchen would 1000 percent recommend to everyone best company and fitters ever

I needed replacement flooring in my dining room after a leak. Mij was brilliant. He was able to help me select a near perfect match to my old flooring. Mij couldn’t have been more helpful if he tried.

Don't bother their delivery don't turn up and expect you to wait around all day.

When my daughter and I arrived , Midge welcomed us with such a positive and professional manner ! He showed us a wide range of carpets which helped us purchase one . He has great positive energy ! We have been to many carpet shops over the years and Midge is the best at helping his customers. We will definitely be ordering all our flooring and carpets from Midge !

From Estimater calling to having carpet fitted was exactly 1 week. Very happy customer, quality of carpet & underlay was exactly what we wanted. Excellent service & Company, would definitely recommend.

Terrible customer service- ongoing refund complaint since August.

I have given photographic proof of size of the package from the courier which is a completely different size to the part you are suggesting I received.

Don’t waste your money with this company. Outraged by the accusation of me of lying and then when I ask you for a full investigation with CCTV of my package being unboxed you cannot provide it… even though I have sent you proof.

The Carpet Stop - Cheadle: I was very disappointed with the service I received from this business. I was initially planning to have flooring in 6 rooms, but left it at 3 in the end. I will go elsewhere for the other rooms. Overall , it was an expensive mistake, but lesson learnt as they say.

The carpet looks nice, the underlay makes it feel very soft underfoot, however were shocked when the fitters rolled out our carpet on the drive/road. It also felt rushed. You also have to deal with the leftover carpet and underlay. The estimator was very knowledgeable and helpful however I think that the itemised estimate/invoice for carpets/flooring needs breaking down, with the price next to the item, rather than an overall price at the bottom. We paid for a furniture move but do not know how much. We will see if the carpet lasts the test of time.
