I've been waiting on my leased Tesla Model Y for several months. The delivery date moves continually. I had a confirmed date, based on which I arranged sale of my current car, insurance on the new car... See more

Superb car & experience
M3, 2020. Had car nearly 3 years. Absolutely love it. Few wee issues along the way, but the Tesla support via app has been excellent. Quick, easy, minor jobs remotely diagnosed and fixed at the house. Technicians all really helpful. Plan to change to newer model at end of the year.
Simplistic and Useful
Simplistic and Useful. The cars are brilliant, only wish they brought out the Roadster and brought the cyber truck to the UK.
Tesla Explosion!
I got fairly far, fairly quickly, but as soon as I parked my Tesla, it exploded. Luckily I survived, but do not purchase a vehicle from this company. Complete disaster. But nice interior so 2 stars!
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Tesla customer support.
On March 22, 2026, I contacted support regarding a membership fee of 290 CZK that I believe was charged incorrectly, as I had intended to cancel the subscription. Instead of receiving help, I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive attitude.
The operator was unwilling to assist, blamed the situation entirely on me, and refused to provide any solution. This is especially frustrating given how unclear and misleading the cancellation process in the app is.
I expected a much higher level of customer care. At the moment, I am still waiting for a proper resolution, including a refund of the charged fee.
If Tesla wants to maintain trust with its customers, situations like this need to be handled very differently.
Left out of pocket, no ownership, and a completely broken process
Purchased a Tesla (order RN126905768) and used their trade-in process. The experience has been extremely poor from start to finish.
The process is fragmented across departments with no clear ownership. Communication is unreliable, responses are inconsistent, and queries are either ignored or closed without resolution.
The most serious issue is financial.
I personally settled my previous vehicle finance (£15,449.04), yet Tesla also made a payment to Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, creating a duplicate settlement scenario.
Mercedes have confirmed they cannot return the funds without payment details from Tesla.
Despite multiple emails and follow-ups:
Tesla have failed to provide the required payment confirmation
I am still waiting for my trade-in payment (£14,932.97)
I am out of pocket £516.07
Weeks later, there is still no clear resolution or accountability
I have effectively been left to manage this issue between Tesla and Mercedes myself, which is completely unacceptable.
For a company that promotes a seamless digital experience, this process is disjointed, opaque, and poorly managed, particularly where finance and payments are involved.
Until this is resolved, I would strongly advise others to avoid relying on Tesla’s trade-in or customer support processes, especially where financial transactions are involved
Own the car for a year and a half
Own the car for a year and a half, absolutely delighted with it (Tesla Y 2023). Had an issue with windscreen wiper recently; remote service came and sorted it, no charge. Still in warranty and also even fitted a couple of replacement air filters I bought off market free of charge. Lovely guy, great company. Don't know why I'd ever go back to having a petrol car.
awful just awful
awful just awful, subscription was taken on their end and they refused to even entertain the idea of refunding it, guess they don't have a lot of money
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Have an issue with a product dont even bother contacting them u won't get anywhere just ignored after pretending they are going to sort it on raising it.
If I could give negative stars I would
If I could give negative stars I would! I haven’t even received the car yet but the customer service so far has been appalling. I ordered the Tesla model y as a lease vehicle in November through the Edinburgh dealership, making it clear I would need the car at the end of Jan when my current lease expires. They say no problem and they’ll make a note on the system as there are current cars in the country etc. however this did not happen! I started getting notifications the car was coming in December. When j finally got hold of someone they said it was an error and they would put a note for delivery to come in Jan. I was to let them know later when would be a good date. However when I contacted the beginning of Jan with the date my car was being collected, only then did they re-start the process of ordering my car!! So then I’ve been left waiting nearly 2 months, which cost me a lot to extend my current lease, buy new car insurance that I’ll need to cancel and be charged a cancellation fee and a service which I would not have had to pay for had the car gone back on time. Now if this wasn’t enough now I’ve received confirmation my car will be ready for delivery next week, but rather than it being delivered to me… they expect me to drive and hour and a half to collect it from Glasgow!! I’ve never had to do this with a lease car before and means that both me and my husband will have to take an afternoon off work to collect - and as we both work for ourselves this again has significant financial implications, not to mention the extra mileage I will no doubt be responsible for to get the car to my house! I queried why this couldn’t at least be delivered to Edinburgh, where I actually ordered it from! Never in the whole experience was I notified I would have to collect from Glasgow and if I was I would never have ordered the car! This will be my first and last Tesla, I have very low expectations of the car itself now but I will never order another even if it is ok. Be Warned! If you live in Scotland and not based in Glasgow or Aberdeen, I just wouldn’t bother
You’ll not be disappointed
Best car we’ve ever had, some improvement needed like drivers mat is terrible but is still 5 stars for me. App is better than VW & BMW, very responsive. Live cameras are amazing and the drive is smooth. I’ll be getting another when my lease runs out.
Just avoid
1, I have had my car since new which was 2021 and its a great car. Recently i am having issues with the car and have had to book the car in but the day before no loan car so it had to be cancelled. I have now booked this in for 20 days time so will have to put up with the current issue.
2, I have had a vibration for a while and thought the wheels needed balancing, i have done this twice plus the tracking only to be told ALL the wheels are buckled! i have had nothing but issues with the Pirelli tyres now all my wheels need replacing. Neither the tyres or the wheels are fit for purpose.
3, I need to set my charger up but seem to find it impossible to update the software and despite messaging i cannot speak to a human being.
This whole experience is making me to just sell the car and move on

Massive disappointment
Massive disappointment. Systematic heat pump failure and €4,500 repair trap.
I am deeply disappointed with Tesla Service Center Ribe. My 2022 Model Ysuffered a complete thermal system failure. This is a well-known, widespread issue with the 2022–2023 models’ heat pumps, especially failing during abnormally low temperatures.
Despite this being a clear design flaw, Tesla refused to issue a recall and is now waiting for warranties to expire to charge customers for their own engineering mistakes. They quoted me which is nearly 10% of the car's total value! Instead of fixing the specific fault, they simply demand a total system replacement (Supermanifold and Compressor).
I found other customers here with the exact same story: out-of-warranty cars, identical failure codes, and the same 30,000+ DKK price tag. It feels like a systematic way to shift the cost of a defective product onto loyal customers.
To make matters worse, the car just failed its mandatory inspection (Syn). Not only is the heating system broken, but the brakes are rusted through—another common Tesla issue that they ignore. It is absurd that a car of this price and age cannot pass a basic safety check.
Warning to potential buyers: Think twice before buying this "bucket of bolts." Tesla takes zero responsibility once the warranty hits 80,000 km. You are left with a massive financial liability.
terrible customer support
Getting financial commitment is slick - then it all falls apart. Impossible to speak to anyone - they are clearly not intereseted in customer support once an order has been accepted.
App chat/text is ignored. try to call the customer service number - no one answers. It tells youn the best way is using the chat function option on the app. Going round in circles. This whole experience is making me seriously re think the order - I may cancel just because of the terrible customer service
Customer support is dreadful
Customer support is dreadful. Impossible to make contact by phone or web support. FAQ and web videos only help with the obvious. In my case had problems with the delivery date (the app allocated a different date and time, with no choice). I was on holiday and had already agree the the delivery date would be the week after with the sales rep. Number plate allocated was also incorrect.
Tesla Powerwall 3 is the best home battery there is!
Can't speak for their cars but their home batteries are the best on the market for single phase households.
Tesla is the only brand to offer a whole unit replacement warranty for 10 years (no prorated offers, no repairs, no settlements etc.)
Poor service and process.
Poor service and process.
Completely lacks human contact and any service level. As soon as something doesn’t tick an algorithm it all falls over. With no one overseeing the process there is no ownership to put anything right and there for nothing does. You get treated like an order number. Sadly it looks like I’m in good company with all the rating so low and common problem with service
The 2025 Tesla Model 3 has been a very…
The 2025 Tesla Model 3 has been a very uncomfortable drive in my experience. The indicators positioned on the steering wheel make it awkward to signal while turning, which feels unintuitive and distracting.
The rear screen has also been problematic — the kids often have to bend down to adjust settings, which I find concerning from a safety perspective.
The wheels seem poorly made, as potholes have already caused cracking, and the cost to have Tesla replace them is extremely high.
This is my third electric car, and unfortunately it has been by far the worst experience so far.
Terrible Customer Service
I've repeated bad experiences with Tesla service, with my 3rd frustrating encounter, yesterday, being the worst. Ranging from unreasonably long scheduling delays to get an appt, lack of human customer service (phone numbers for real people not made available, AI bot answering the number I was able to get, supposed real people in text/chat for roadside assistance taking 10+ min to respond between each text), a mobile service no-show without communication, routing a tow to a center double the distance away (bc their tow services didn't have a contract with the one closer to me). I don't trust them at all, and I'm disgusted with the service. When I am in a place to buy a new car, it will not be Tesla and this is entirely because of the service (and let's be honest - the nazi-saluting CEO doesn't help matters).
