Disappointing

Disappointing service, they sell gift cards for large amounts then don't accept back if purchased too many on impulse. The only explanation they gave is "that's our policy". If I say why didn't sales assistant mention this, again "sorry that's our policy, you should've checked our website". Who goes reading your "policies" for your products.

I ordered £192 worth of Christmas shopping on 19th December. About a quarter of that had use by or best before dates of between 20th and 23rd December!! This included potatoes, packet of sliced chicken, and 3 ready meals, amongst others. These items usually have a much longer date, so I can only assume Tesco are trying to shift end of stock items using their delivery customers. Will go back to the other store I normally use instead. Only used Tesco because they had a more convenient delivery date.

BOVAER

We are not case studies. Stop providing customers with milk from cows fed with Bovaer or other harmful chemicals. I won’t be buying any milk for a while!

Tesco are now selling FAKE fruit

Tesco are now selling FAKE fruit. PLEASE BE AWARE. Strawberries and raspberries are the hardest I've ever come across 1 week old in the pack in my fridge, arnt they suppose to go soggy and mouldy. Nope. Still as hard as a rock, not juicy and no flavour like a REAL strawberry and raspberries. This needs to stop, we need to stop being ripped off by these companies and country. I'm never paying for another fruit or vegetable from any super marker again! I hope alot of people can open their eyes and realise this and stop buying the false foods our super markets are selling.

Massive thank you to the ladies at Crewe click & collect. I arrived 15 minutes early for my order pickup.
Within 5 minutes they had my order to the car & were so friendly & helpful.
Having worked a 12 hour shift, I really appreciated the early pickup.

Fix your shelf stock

You do not stock the Tesco finest festive chicken & bacon with gravy mayonaise dip, this is the ultimate betrayal. I hope you pay for your sins.

Online gocery substitutions

I have been using Tesco online grocery shopping for well over a year now and generally speaking it's no worse than any of the others. Recently however (last 2 months) the substitutions have been farcical. Basil substituted with coriander was one. Today, pork cocktail sausages ordered, substituted with cheese and onion pastry rolls? I'm not going to sound off at some totally innocent call centre worker in Scotland, I'm not going to sound off at the driver either - None of this is their fault. Tesco could do well to remember that they are NOT, the only online grocery delivery company and I can change. This is a staffing issue, pure and simple. If you employ staff that cannot tell the difference between a pig and an onion - you will lose customers. Issue number 2. When the cheese and onion rolls (£1.75) were returned, 2 clubcard points were deducted BUT, had I purchased them, I would only receive 1 point. Nice little earner for Tesco's that, award one point if its purchased but deduct 2 if its retuned. The reason I have given 2 stars is simple - 1 star is for the call centre staff and the other 1 is for the drivers. The 3 'NO STARS' are for the morons that pick this crap and the people that give them jobs to begin with.

I usually get an online delivery once a month. The divers are very friendly. But I have had to call customer service about 4 times about getting out of date products. But I do always get a refund. The point is the staff who pick it don't look at dates. Which is getting very annoying.

Adding to my review of 14th December, when I rang Tesco to enquire why delivery did not happen, the lady accused me of using foul language which I certainly would never do and the second time I rang I spoke to a man who said to me "what do you expect me to do,deliver it myself". I don't know who they were but the individuals need to be taught some manners. They were extremely rude to me

Safety Incident at Swan Centre Store, Yardley Birmingham

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious incident that occurred today at your Swan Centre store in Birmingham. While using the self-service checkout, one of your Tesco-branded toilet bleach bottles leaked on my hands, causing a burning and cutting sensation on my skin. It is well known that immediate rinsing with water is crucial when such chemicals come into contact with the skin to prevent further damage.
Upon realizing the severity of the situation, I immediately sought assistance from a Tesco colleague nearby, requesting access to wash my hands in the store's toilet. Unfortunately, my request was denied on the grounds that the toilets are reserved for Tesco staff only. Despite explaining the urgency and potential harm to my skin, the staff member reiterated her refusal. I then asked to speak with a manager.
When the manager arrived, he initially upheld the same policy. However, after recognizing the urgent nature of my situation, he ultimately agreed to provide access to the disability toilet by fetching the key.
I am deeply concerned about this experience and would like to understand if this is standard Tesco policy: denying customers access to necessary facilities even in emergency situations, which could lead to further harm. Is this how Tesco staff are trained to handle such incidents? I believe that customer safety should be a priority, and access to basic facilities in emergencies should not be restricted.
Adding to my frustration, we spent nearly £100 on shopping today, and this is the treatment we received. Even on a basic human level, people usually help in such situations. However, your staff's stubbornness and lack of empathy were evident. Furthermore, the fact that the leaking product was Tesco's own brand should have warranted more concern from your staff, yet they acted in a totally opposite manner. I am escalating this matter to senior management and would like a satisfactory response. Failing which, I will consider taking legal action due to this unacceptable and potentially harmful behavior.
I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you regarding the actions Tesco will take to ensure such incidents are managed more effectively in the future.

Extremely Poor (rather none) Customer Service in Greenford Hoover Building Superstore

Hi,

I am writing after a long consideration and repeatedly being disappointed by the level of customer service from this particular Greenford Hoover Building Superstore in Greenford UB6 8DW(Perivale). I usually shop at Extra or superstore with others being Bulls Bridge Extra and Hayes Yeading Extra at Glencoe Road.

Majority of the staff dealing with customers (not the staff that are stacking the shelves) are just rude, not helpful, doesn't know the meaning of customer service, treating everyone like a thief and especially self-service staff that are meant to "help" are always grumpy when you need your shopping to be re-scanned such as what I had experienced on my last visit.

Tesco Finest French Brie Cheese Layered…

Tesco Finest French Brie Cheese Layered With Italian Truffle 135g. I wrote a review on this product giving it 1star. It was inedible. It tasted of garlic not truffle. I googled what does truffle taste like garlic. No it doesn't but seemingly fake truffle does.
Needless to say Tesco hasn't posted the review. I like garlic especially in cheese but this was vile

Really going off Tesco

Really going off Tesco. They have stopped selling some of their own brand products, such as mini rolls, which I used to buy and now sell other cheap brands which tend to be not as good.
Some of their prices are well above other retailers such as Home Bargains particularly medicines and bathroom products.
I recently went to buy some indigestion medicine. The local Tesco branch did not have any of their own brand products (not sure if they still sell it) and Gaviscon was £14 for a medium sized bottle. £14...really Tesco???
The same product at Home Bargains was less than £10, but I bought a cheaper brand for £5.69.
This is pretty typical of Tesco when it comes to similar products such as vitamins which are also very expensive and can be bought a lot cheaper elsewhere.
Some prices have recently gone up by 10 percent such as Malteser cake bars.
My local Tesco at Cradley seems to always have faults with the escalators, or flooding so that the lower car park cannot be used.
I just see Tesco going down hill as they are not as competitive and have stopped selling some of their better own brand items.
