The gate arrived packaged really well and I ordered the stainless steel fixings which are top quality. Unfortunately the gate, though well made, is very weak and would not withstand any force. The posts are especially flimsy and mean that you have to be very careful when screwing everything together. The gate only has a couple of metal braces reinforcing it which don't help much at all. On top of this I realised when I posted a similar review on their website, that they don't publish them so all you see are 4/5 star reviews which is pretty dishonest in my opinion.

I'm conflicted about whether I would buy this gate again given the high cost compared with the quality.

I had a great experience with Tekplas; right from the initial query made to Naomi, to the assistance with measuring up, to the transparency about how long it would take for my garden gate to be made, all the way through to the expert fitting by Lee. Naomi and Lee were both friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lee fitted the gate with no fuss and left the area clean and tidy, whilst also removing and disposing of my old gate. I’d use again!

Contacted a number of suppliers re a bespoke uPVC side gate - only had a response from Tekplas...
From initial enquiry, thru' advice on exact measurement of apature, options of aluminium posts, gate furniture, locks, colours etc the customer service was outstanding.
The gate itself is beyond our expectations, quality material, construction and arrived on time carefully packaged on a pallet with all required fittings, furniture and lock..
Gate fitted perfectly.
Great value for money as it's a bespoke size.

I bought a playpen for my pups a few weeks ago. I've just out it up and I'm over the moon with it!! I had a slight issue with the door. I emailed and within a few minutes I had an email back from Naomi, who immediately put my mind at ease and rectified my issue. Communication is 100% with this company. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I absolutely cannot fault them, to the tune of, I've just ordered another playpen!! I'm THAT impressed with the product. Thank you again Naomi. I can't wait to purchase more from this fabulous company!

First id like to say Customer service, i sent a Email and they got straight back to me kept in touch and Niomie, was So helpfull. The fence is very good quality. And we also had Lee, put our fence up, and he run into some trouble with steel roodscin ground. It took him longer then he thought. But noughthing was to much trouble for him great guy, will definitely use them again. Thanks Mark Jordan, Shepperton.

I don’t usually write reviews as I genuinely expect to get the product or service at the quality advertised and paid for.

But I feel like I have to write a review about Tekplas as they were so good, and hopefully this will benefit others who are thinking of using them.

We have a young boy with severe development delays. Who, for his own safety, was in an Ikea cot up to his 4th birthday. At this point he was obviously too big for the cot and was literally touching the ends. We had to get him a new bed that still provided the cage like safety and comfort of a cot. Our son is also in the “box room” within our house and so a regular single bed could not fit in.

We stumbled across Tekplas and saw they had previously provided an assistive bed for a client who had a child with special needs. And at the fraction of the cost of other “specialist” providers. I contact Tekplas and explained our situation.

From that very first call they were amazing (especially Naomi). Who worked with me to get the measurements, provided me with a CAD drawing and price and completed my order (including delivery) within a matter of weeks. The bed was delivered in parts on the day Tekplas said it would be. Tekplas even cut out parts of the bed posts to allow for skirting boards.

The bed is of a very good quality and easy enough to erect. This is all despite it being a bespoke made to order design.

Thank you to Tekplas and we definitely recommend them. We will be telling other people in our network who have children with similar needs to check them out!

Well it finally arrived :). At work. After painstakingly looking for a few weeks I couldn’t decide. I finally decided on your whelping box with play area after looking at others too and comparing quality, price, aesthetics and reviews. Also many pleasant conversations with you by chat. Taking everything into account yours was the one I was drawn to. We have just set this up in 20 minutes. Everything is to our satisfaction. Well packed. Easily put together and very good quality. I have no regrets and will certainly be back for more. Thank you very much.

We ordered these gates a while ago and have just got around to fitting them. The company was really easy to deal with - we had a very awkward opening for the gate, and also needed a frame for the top. They talked me through measuring it, and once I’d explained about the top frame, they added it for free.
Delivery was arranged just within the suggested timeframe, and came incredibly well packaged. There’s very little chance of the gates being damaged in transit.
I wondered if the plastic frames would be too flimsy, but they are fine. I’ve fixed them into a stone wall, and then mortared the gap, and they aren’t going anywhere!
I had been slightly concerned that as they are made of plastic, they might look …. plasticky. But, as I’ve been fitting them, lots of passers by have commented on how good they look, and I agree.
In short, an easy company to deal with and a great quality product.

Ordered an expensive playpen with gate for baby when baby was born, to protect him from our dogs.

Playpen itself is flimsy, walls move on pressure and gate has already fallen and needs to be lifted in order to close properly. Gate closure seems unwieldy- when baby leans against walls, they bow, even more so at the gate. Im not sure it would hold up when baby is actively trying to walk. Unsafe product for intended use as babypen. The only good thing is that the product was easy to put together.

Also, unfortunately, 2 post caps were missing but I did not notice straight away as i assumed all items would have been delivered as ordered. We did not put up the pen for a few months as we didn't end up needing it until baby was crawling . When I messaged the company about it, they did not even pretend to apologize for the missing items and instead asked me to replace the caps at my own cost with an outrageous shipping fee (far more than the items were worth, easily cost have been posted by royal mail in a single padded envelope, for 2-3 pounds next day delivery instead of 8!), whilst insinuating it was my fault and blaming not checking the original delivery which I had believed had been delivered faithfully, as ordered.

Zero customer service, expensive yet poor product and poor company ethics and integrity. Would not order from them again.

Addendum 13/10/2023

Company replied to my review to say I did not give them a chance to sort things out, however I had sent them a follow up email/ webchat message straight after their initial reply but received no reply until only after I posted a public online review.

Following that I received 2 half voice-mails at the same time, which said that they were away from office and the phone was cutting out. Nothing further in the message. No mention of trying to problem solve or to discuss things further or even why they called. No further phone call or email attempt to contact me, but only the reply left to my review sounding accusatory again.

Happy to post further video and photos of gate closure if requested as can't do it on TrustPilot.

Ps: update: Photo on Google review of gate lock not properly aligned as company seems uncertain that my review is "honest".

Also, website says damaged goods to be reported in 48hrs, not missing goods. Nothing obvious was damaged on delivery. Missing goods were not obvious from the start unless you started putting it together and counting pieces.

In their own words, it is clear to me that this company/ customer service only appears to be interested in self-image and public opinion and and not repeat customers.

As can be seen from the company's further updated reply to my previous amendment: the company's refusal to admit any possibility of fault and blame the customer instead.

Please find further photo of gate with level showing pillars on the gate are level (thank you very much for suggesting my floor is not level), yet gate has dropped on one side and lock still in incorrect place. Further photo shows the gate movement with minimal exertion from my little finger. If a child was to fall onto the gate from inside the playpen, I do not believe it would hold and he would fall through the gate and injure himself. Unfortunately, I cannot post a video of it rocking.

Considering this is a brand new product that has only just been put together, this quality is not worth the expense.

And yes, thank you for noticing, there are toys are in there as it is suitable to use as a toy storage area while we figure out what to do with this product which is unsuitable for use as a intended and advertised use as playpen.

Also, thank you to the company for pointing out I have edited my review. This is because I take care to check my grammar and make sure my points are clear and detailed for potential prospective clients to understand before they make any decisions.

Please note the other negative reviews with regards to customer service and dropped gates on trustpilot and Google from other unhappy customers. All appears fine if you don't have issues but the moment you have problems with the product, the company will try to bully you instead.

The compost bins are well designed and easy to assemble. My communications with the office were quickly responded to and covered all my points raised. I would highly recommend this company.

We spent a great deal of time and effort looking for plastic replacement gates having had problems with maintaining and repairing wooden gates. The best solution seemed to be provided by Tekplas. The service we received from Naomi was absolutely marvellous. She answered all our questions and was always happy to hear from us. We have now had our gates fitted and they are living up to our (high) expectations.

Straightforward ordering process off the website. Gate and posts arrived really well packaged, exactly as specified and looked to be very good quality fabrication and finish. I was kept informed when it would be delivered and the delivery was on the date and time I requested. This was my first experience with fitting a PVC gate post but the process went smoothly. I was somewhat surprised that I needed to make up some spacers for the hinges so that the gate would clear the door stop on the post on that side, but this was easily solved. The important thing is to make careful measurements and to think ahead as to how everything will fit together to give you all the required clearances and the fixings would miss the internal webs in the plastic. The end result looks very smart and hopefully will give us years of use!

I have been looking for a more durable and large compost bin. The key thing for me is removing the front to easily remove the compost at the bottom with a spade or fork. The bins with a small opening don't do the trick. The Tekplas offering works. The extension packs help to have one compost building, while the other is being used. I did find one item missing from the order when it arrived, however, Customer Service sorted it out with no quibbles.

Good product, few minor issues sorted out quickly, great communication. Special thanks to Naomi.

Buyer beware. Very pricy, poor quality (faded colour, flimsy and metal parts faded and rusted) and very poor communication. Avoid at all cost and don’t waste your money and time.

I ordered a whelping box and puppy play pen from Texplas, really pleased with the quality and service. The box is well made and sturdy, I had read some reviews that the boxes had rough edges but this most definitely isn’t the case. High quality and well built, easy to put together and the online video instructions are simple and accurate (they would need to be for me as I am no DIYer) Customer service from Naomi has been brilliant, I left it late to order and she expedited the delivery and answered every question I had. These are not cheap but they are great value for money, would highly recommend.

Purchased three gates from Tekplas in January. The gates were delivered on time and fit perfectly.

I bought a puppy pen for my English bulldog, nothing short of incredible. Wrapped beautifully, instructions clear but most of all it has kept our new addition safe! It also looks beautiful and anyone who visits remarks on it.

After leaving 3 phone messages and an email, Naomi contacted me so I could eventually place an order. Advice offered was good. Order placed, I was charged the higher rate delivery despite my item being categorised as a “small” gate.

Delivery was supposed to be up to 12 weeks, but after approx 14 days I received a call saying the item was ready! The item was well packaged. On inspection, one of the post “stops” was missing, no “free bolt” was included and the screws supplied were the wrong length. On contacting the company on jan 26 I was told the wrong instructions had been sent out; the screws were actually the correct length, the bolt was not required by my gate and a post end stop would be sent on next day delivery. Naomi’s attitude regarding these errors was very “laissez faire”, as though it really wasn’t significant that things weren’t correct or that the instructions supplied were for a different gate. I asked for the correct ones to be emailed/posted to me asap.

The gate was fitted, although we were still awaiting omitted parts. Screws supplied to fit the latch were countersunk, the pre drilled holes were not, so screw heads sit proud on the latch surface. It turned out that the wrong screws had been supplied for the latch too! On Feb 2nd I contacted Naomi again saying I was still awaiting the omitted and replacement parts. The parts finally arrived on the 7th Feb. I have NOT received the correct instructions. Despite leaving numerous voicemail messages on the office number and mobile phone, and sending emails between 2nd -7th Feb to contact me, I am still awaiting a return call as of 19 Feb.

Naomi admitted early on that the wrong instructions had been sent to us. This caused confusion and complication with fitting. Naomi said “her technical department said that any good fitter could fit the gate” and then tried to apportion blame on the fitter for any would be errors. A very arrogant attitude!

My gate looks good thanks only to my fitter, although I would honestly say that it is flimsy and cheaply manufactured. Once Tekplas had my money, their after sales service provided was dreadful.

My recommendation - go elsewhere.
