I was planning on placing an order via one of their retailers for £1,500, a lot to us but maybe not to them. I asked TT to check a couple of the boxes before despatch for reasonable colour consistency and warping. This was refused. I then checked their warranty and terms and conditions. They say:

‘The installer must open several packs of the floor at a time to enable a good colour and grade mix across the installation’ and ‘Ted Todd will only accept returns of unopened packs’ and ‘Failure to inspect material upon receipt and provide signed delivery notes will result in non-acceptance of the claim and non-replacement of lost or damaged Goods.’

So it looks like one can inspect the boxes but not the contents.

Further, THE WARRANTY IS CONDITIONAL ON THE FOLLOWING:
• The floor has been installed, handled and stored in accordance with our installation guides.
• Only Ted Todd installation products, such as adhesives, sub-floor preparation, underlay etc. have been used in the installation. The use of installation products supplied by any other manufacturer will invalidate the warranty.
• Site conditions must have remained within the Ted Todd recommended guidelines for temperature, relative humidity, moisture and cleanliness.
• The floor has not been inappropriately sanded due to poor maintenance.
• The floor has been maintained to the Ted Todd guidelines using the appropriate Ted Todd cleaning and maintenance products.
• This warranty is non-transferable.

Having read the negative reviews on Trustpilo in conjunction with what I consider to be unreasonable terms above, I have decided that this is not the sort of company with whom I wish to do business and I have placed my order elsewhere at 2/3 of the TT cost. If you are having the floor installed professionally, then maybe ok but definitely not recommended for a home owner installation.

Recently had Ted Todd wood flooring installed throughout the whole of the ground floor. One of the planks at the front door entrance has become discoloured. The installer advised that it was damp coming up from the concrete underneath and wanted to charge over £300 to cut out the flooring and install a coir mat over the concrete. Surely Ted Todd’s instructions for installers are to check concrete for damp before installing.
I contacted Ted Todd for their thoughts on the matter and they spoke to the installer advising them that it was the fault of the door mat we had at the door. The installer then advised us that as it was not their fault they were not going to do anything about it.
We are now left with a damaged plank at the front entrance after spending over £10,000.
It seems that you need to speak to any door mat supplier to ensure the mat you are purchasing is compatible with Ted Todd wood flooring.

Review Updated - after contacting the company again using the email address in their response here I got a very thorough reply and was able to source what I needed. Faith Restored.

Unfortunately I have to join most other recent reviewers in giving a poor rating. Contacted Customer Services asking for help to source additional boards for an install that was done a few years back. Sent pictures, measurements - everything they could need to help me out. I didnt even get an acknowledgement let alone a reply.

I contacted Tedd Todd multiple times regarding their wooden flooring and received no response. It’s really disappointing to experience such poor customer service from a company that presents itself as a premium brand. The lack of communication has left me with an unresolved installation issue, and it’s made me question whether they can be trusted with a significant investment. A frustrating experience overall.

Spent £5.5k getting two rooms done with Ted Todd’s Jute flooring (31m²) and decided to pay a bit extra for the custom bars to finish the rooms off properly. Honestly, really wish I hadn’t bothered. The bars are a totally different colour and wood type, they look nothing like the flooring. The website says they should create a “seamless transition” and are hand-finished, but in my case, they’ve just added an extra texture and colour that clashes with the floor instead of blending in. Not sure what went wrong, but I waited over a month for these strips and they’ve ended up being a real letdown. Really disappointed.

Do not waste your money. I spent thousands and thousands on Ted Todd flooring (used Ted Todd planks throughout the whole of my whole downstairs) and I’ve never been so disappointed with a purchase. The floor scratches and dents extremely easily. I can’t even explain how easy it dents and scratches, to the point you only need to drop something very light for it to leave a deep mark. You can’t just easily replace damaged planks either because the method is to glue them down. The floor genuinely has no resistance to anything so be prepared for horrible deep scratches and dents if you walk on it with shoes, drop something by mistake or have kids/pets. I raised a complaint though the flooring company I purchased the floor with and Ted Todd immediately closed it down because damage occurred after the floor was installed. Completely unacceptable and shocking customer service.

This is the second Ted Todd floor I have purchased. Product and the service is of the highest quality.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Ted Todd floor again or recommend to others.

Really helpful staff on the phone who directed me to the nearest retailer to look at larger samples. The flooring in my kitchen looks fantastic, far more realistic than the LVT it replaced.

Very slick company. Amazing showroom to choose your product. They knew exactly what they were taking about, very helpful, and able to take away several samples. The Calico herringbone I picked just looks amazing!

Ted Todd were great when I called them, directed me to my nearest retailer and even spoke to me about maintenance and after care. Excellent service!

Exceptional customer service & after care.
Buying a product is the start of a relationship and a premium floor will be around for many years to come. Its great to have the after care available, for extensions and changes to ones home layout when needed. A special mention to Louise Weston who is an exceptional ambassador for Ted Todd. 5 starts and more.

Having spent so much money on floor I also bought the care system which includes a moo Base with no handle.
After buying a fair few different handles which nine seemed to fit the complicated mop Base I rang Ted Todd.
The only way to get a handle is to go back to my supplier and ask them to order one for me!
Probably the most stupid thing I've ever heard! Purchasing a handless mop and the company who supplies them won't let you purchase the handle from them!!
It's an unfit for purpose product then!!

Hopefully good quality flooring, definitely really bad aftersales experience.

Order some flooring and underlay from one of their showrooms, got it delivered, and got it installed. Turned out that we had less wastage than expected and ended up with an extra pack of unopened floor boards and underlay. Tried to return so they can sell on to somebody. Got the answer that they will not take it back as it is too old. Delivered in January, tried to return now, in less than two months. If this is too old, then I am worried how will the floor look in a few years.

This is a typical example of a wasteful economy. I am sorry that I had any dealings with this company. Doesn't matter how good your product is, but if you are ignoring the environmental impacts this way, I will ignore you as well. Never buy from them again.

The floor was laid professionally and it is a credit to Ted Todd would highly recommend this company

Company recommended a retailer who wont refund unused boxes of flooring due to their contractual situation with Tedd Todd. When I spoke to Tedd Todd who recommended this retailer they blame retailer. I would avoid as Tedd Todd, they do not come across as a premium company with any concern over their end customer even after recommending the retailer.

This is not the first time this has happened with this company (see other reviews below) With almost 1 in 5 customers not happy and the same issue happening repeatedly customer service clearly do not have an improvement plan on how to get their reviews better that 3.9 and shown apathy consistently for their end customer.
I will come back and update if TT decide to change their minds.

I would highly recommend Tedd Todd for anyone looking for quality wood flooring. They provide great on trend products at competitive prices. The show room in Warrington is beautiful and has many different examples. The staff are very knowledgeable. We used our own fitters but they can also offers fitters and trusted partners if you need assistance. We purchased their floor cleaning and polishing kits which also works very well.
