Every one i have had contact with has been exceptionally helpful. I had 5 years of back taxes including current. Dealing with stage 4 cancer and am completely overwhelmed with my life at current. Tax Rise has been a blessing. Patient friendly PEOPLE NOT AI. That is important to me. And they treat me with compassion and respect.

I have a serious medical situation that began in March of 2023. I spent much of the first half of the year in the hospital. I really put little effort into 23 taxes. That led to a significant balance due. I assumed 24 would be the same so I contacted Tax Rise. When my health improved enough I could think clearer I decided to go back and amend 22. Since Tax Rise hadn't filed 23, I let them know I was not going to send any more money until I fixed 22. With trying to det my business off the ground, I had to work piecemeal to get it together. Once I amended 22, filed 23, and amended 24, I found that the IRS owed me money. I contacted Tax Rise to let them know their services were no longer needed and asked for my money back. I was told that, since they had tried contacting me (after I informed them of what was happening) and I didn't respond, I was not entitled to a refund. Checking other reviews on various platforms, this sounds like a normal day at Tax Rise

TaxRise will take a larger amount of money (7000$) in fees. Do NOT join TaxRise representatives are experts, trained to make you feel valuable. False help with 30,000$ taxes owed I really needed assistance. TaxRise told me they could negotiate 1/2 of what I owed to IRS. Today I owe 28,000$. I contacted TAXRISE because I received a letter from IRS with a payment plan for 389$ for
72 months or 6 years.

The extremely long wait time and numerous holds and transfers to several representatives and phone numbers that do not except call was unbelievable. They finally answered when I called the 1(800) number which was an automated voice chat.

They will conveniently ignore your concerns and tell you that they are working hard to negotiate a resolution and committed to your situation. No communication from them, if you don’t connect with them you will never have any information regarding your case.

They are pathetic false results and very little or no reduction on your taxes owed to IRS.

Set up your payment plan with IRS yourself give IRS the (7000$) at least the amount owed would have been 23,000$ owed.

I’m warning you DO NOT join these scammers you will still owe IRS the same money in taxes. Contact IRS yourself and work directly with them which is what I ended up doing. TaxRise will ROB you and leave you with false hope and with no communication with you about anything.

IRS sent me the letters is why I know about the payment plan, please don’t allow them to con you like they did me.
I trusted TAXRISE and they let me down. They told me 117 months to pay the debt where did the additional $15,000 come from the math is now adding up. That’s double what I owed in unpaid taxes.
This is a con game and master manipulators. Be aware if you ignore this representation and bad intentions.

Samer was the Taxrise employee that I dealt with today. He did an excellent job, was informative explaining everything clearly and sent me what I had called about previously and he was kind, professional and empathetic to my situation. Thank you hiring professional, empathetic and kind employees!

This company is not about assisting with your tax liability this company is here to funnel clients to third-party financing companies for predatory loans to pay for so-called services from tax rise. Took this company two years to prepare taxes they were never able to mitigate a penny of my tax liability and actually set up a payment plan that would have cost me thousands more than just settling with the IRS. This company is all about funneling clients to third-party financing companies and then make it impossible to cancel services.
Anything they do you can do yourself I solved my IRS issue on my own in less than 3 weeks when it took this company over two years and they wanted to charge over $16,000 and they never did anything except enrich their business partners.

I called them with the hope that they could potentially lower the amount of taxes I owed for both Federal and State. They asked me to pay an initiation fee of 375, which I did, unfortunately. After a week, they asked to schedule a consultation with me to discuss their recommended path to resolving my tax debt. During the consultation, they said that I owe over $46k in taxes and that they can set me up on a monthly payment plan of $641 for 72 months. I found that odd because I owed just a little over $7k in federal taxes. So I asked the representative why the supposed "taxes owed" is 6 times what I actually owe. He said that that was what was given to them by the IRS. I had just filed my taxes and that's not what it shows that I owe (which I indicated during the initial call a couple of weeks ago with them). Then when I raised that question to the representative, they then said that I was right that I only owed a little over $7k in federal taxes but they can set me up on a monthly payment plan which would be $130 per month for 72 months - which means an interest of about 7% (same interest you would pay directly with IRS payment plans). I then asked - so what service am I actually getting from them if I were to commit to the payment plan of 130 x 72? Because didn't they advertise and promise during the initiation call (that I paid 375 for) to get my tax debt lowered up to 80 to 90%? Yes, the lingo there says "up to" which means it could potentially be 0% and not really up to 80 or 90% savings on what is owed. So now I am left questioning - what's the purpose of having TaxRise when you can directly make payments with the IRS for taxes that are owed? When I asked about the $46k tax amount owed, they blamed the IRS and their supposed new system they're working with. Was the $46k balance just a bait to see if anyone would actually make those payments to them? Wouldn't that be theft at this point knowing that a person only owes a little over $7k in taxes and yet proceed on presenting a monthly payment plan of 641 x 72? Doesn't make any sense to me. I feel like the 375 initiation fee to pay them to investigate my tax history with the IRS is just a way to make a profit and no investigations done - otherwise, if investigations were done, then they'd know that I didn't owe $46k in taxes but only a little over $7k. I should be refunded my 375 for the lack of investigation done - because if true investigation was done, then company should have known my actual tax debt.

I paid for service for this company to do nothing but take my money, Paid 350 for a consultation for them to proceed to charge me 5000 to handle my tax problem, I paid a 1000 down and did 246.20 a month. I gave them all info needed for them to do a tax amendment for 2023 and file my 2024 taxes they got all my information for the to be prep my taxes for another 3 months, i called asking was everything do or did i need to do anything else they told me they filed my taxes for 2024 and did the amendment for 2023 so i proceed to file my 2025 taxes and the irs took them to pay debit that was pose to be handled already i called the irs to see what they had and didn't have and they told me that they only have my 2025 taxes and didn't have nothing else. So after finding that out i call to cancel my service the agent proceed to get mad an talk over me then threaten me with a 1500 dollar cancellation fee which is not in the contract. Then once i said okay ill pay that he proceed to tell me that he can't do it right now because he don't have the access and i still haven't got a call till this day. I would no recommend using they service they just want your money and don't care to help you.

Their people are very understanding and patient as well as pleasant.

Told me they would file my taxes for me and save me money. In the end they called and said I need to file with a tax professional or TurboTax. So they took 375 dollars from me to do absolutely nothing but tell me what I will be projected to owe. The whole point was I didnt want to file, I wanted you guys to. Thanks for scamming me.

This is in reference to dealing with a matter with Taxrise. Joshua Jarado remained patient and calm and acted like a true professional throughout our dealings. He impressed me and totally changed my impression of Taxrise. He really will go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
