This is a follow up to our review from a few months ago......
Update 5/13/2026: Im sure this is a huge scam now. They contacted us after the initial bad review (the only way we could get then to talk to us) and absolutely noting has been done.They Asked us for additional information (that should have been taken initally) and ghosted us again. Zero contact. Will not return out calls or emails . No correspondence whatsoever and due to their absolutely lack of communication in any way we now have to hire a new company to help us as tax rise is 100 % a scam and will take your money and run . BEWARE !DO NOT USE THIER SERVICES yOU WILL REGRET IT.!!

Very knowledgeable about helping people with tax problems.

I got a bad decision from IRS. They are trying to help.

If I could have given a negative number I surely would have. The service given is never on a timely matter, but if they want something it needs to be done right away. As far as helping to reduce your tax dept, you might as well go direct to the IRS and speak to someone there. These people were all in to get your money and pretend they are helping you.

I feeling real hopeful I can let you know more when I get more answers ☺️

I've been working with TaxRise for over a year. For me the biggest benefit has been having a team of professionals representing me against the IRS. The emotional stress is gone. The fee is so reasonable for the service and peace of mind you get in return. I highly recommend them.

TaxRise is an excellent service working one on one with clients. My first contact Katie Lee is like an angel so encouraging, caring and helpful. I am now working with Jillia Beckwith and we are going through the 6 years and all the documentation step by step. She also is so encouraging and helpful. This situation has gotten me so depressed for the last 6 years because it has been an overwhelming situation. I believe in filing my taxes and paying any debt I owe. So this means more than I can express!

I initially had a very frustrating experience and felt misled, but I want to update my review to reflect that the company did process my $500 refund after I requested it.

That being said, I do think it’s important for others to understand what services are being offered and at what cost. In my case, I was looking for help with an Offer in Compromise, but the fees quoted were around $5,000, which was not affordable for me. I was also informed about a “Currently Not Collectible” (CNC) status option, which is something individuals can often request directly from the IRS on their own without paying high fees.

From my experience, the process typically starts with an upfront fee (around $500), so make sure you fully understand what you are signing up for before making any payment.

I appreciate that they honored my refund request, but I strongly recommend that others do their research, ask detailed questions, and consider contacting the IRS directly before committing to any service.

I would love to say that Taxrise has done me an amazing job. They have made my life so much easier they took everything of my mind. Aaron Gonzalez was amazing. I can not believe how much of a relief this company has brought! Working with Amanda M was such a delight! She was very upfront, the whole company is, and she treated me with respect and understood what my husband and I were going through and have been through! Tax rise was so responsive and continuely contacted us with updates, which was very appreciated! The payment was well worth what this company was able to do for us! And again, Amanda M was so fantastic! I can breath for the first time in a long time!!! I will recommend her ANY DAY! Thank you thank you thank!!!!
