Only giving 1 star because I can’t mark it as 0. This ‘company’ is a SCAM. I had several cheques sent from HMRC to the tax people company as they acted as my agent. To this day I haven’t received a single one. There is no telephone number to contact (goes to a random women’s voicemail) and every email address I’ve found including an email they reached out to me on - has bounced back as it’s no longer found! Absolutely shocking! Please avoid at all costs!

I agreed to get help from this company in November 2025 and haven’t heard anything or received any money. I’ve tried to contact the company and their email addresses no longer exist!! COMPLETE SCAM.

I received a total of 143 emails from this company over the space of a few months, hounding me to submit a tax rebate claim for nursing expenses. I'm not sure why I was so stupid but I eventually gave in and they submitted a claim on my behalf for 5 years worth of expenses. As soon as they had my signature all communication stopped. They received my cheque from HMRC months ago, but I haven't received a penny of the rebate and now all my emails bounce back saying the email address no longer exists.

Don’t mind paying a fee but cheque from HMRC was cashed in April by themselves and I’m still waiting for my refund.
What is most annoying is lack of communication. No phone numbers listed work and email address bounces back.
Still waiting for my money which I could really do with.

For me at the moment I wish I could give the company as a whole a rating of 0
I wish I had read the reviews beforehand as my claim started in January 2026 and nothing heard from them since HMRC sent me confirmation of what I would be getting several emails sent from myself and they haven’t had the decency to email me back but if the company want redeemed themselves then reply to my emails

I would give 0 stars if I could. My claim was finalised and confirmed by HMRC in December. They paid the Tax People my money in December and yet I have received nothing yet! I have sent a number of emails and have received apologies and excuses every time. A cheque should have been sent ‘immediately’ in January and still not received anything! Such a scam that they hold onto to people rebates from the government! Awful experience and conduct. I would advise anyone to avoid avoid avoid this so called company!

Avoid!! Initially seemed okay processed my uniform tax rebate without issue however my rebate has been finalised since December and I am yet to receive the outstanding £200 from them following the £180 fee. Wish I had just completed the forms myself it would have been less hassle then the number off emails I have had to send over the last 3 months plus. Asked for my bank details waited 28 days as advised Then to be told they have sent a cheque. These 'cheques' have been sent on four occasions to no avail. £400 down.

Not sure if it was any quicker to obtain rebate status if I had requested HMRC myself
I appreciated that all documents were sent with security
I would recommend the tax people to look into tax rebates in the future

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
They take all your owed tax refund, for doing absolute NOTHING. Just wait if your due a tax rebate then you will receive one. Stay well clear from the Tax people.

Scam they don't tell you that there is a wacking fee and all I wanted to do is claim for my work wear cleaning... Don't use them go straight to HMRC!!!

Tax people has been quite helpful throughout the process. They helped me fill up the forms as well as was so quick to respond and always available whenever I needed their help.

I wish I had read these reviews before I agreed to use this company. I was also told 15% which they are now denying. They have charged me £150 plus vat! Leaving me with a pitiful refund. Please do your research and do not use this company.

Terrible company. Do not use. Kept all my refund. Denied they had received anything from HMRC until I told them i had proof from HMRC saying that had sent them a cheque 6 weeks ago. They said I would receive no refund and they were keeping almost £200 for fees.

What went wrong trust pilot asked.. they are robbing con artists.. lied about there fee. Zero contact once they had my cheque.. they charge 150+vat.. that is there fee not the 15% i was told...
Worst company.. only reason i got a reponse in the end was because i was going to seek legal advice.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT USE...
