I worked with Michael of Customer Support on basic start-up questions, how to do this / that, and correction of a minor issue which the dev group will handle.
Although my questions were probably very basic, he treated me with respect, fixed my issues where possible, and was generally a great person. Michael is a testament to your company and your product is great!
I'd love to see more performance tracking tools, at some point.
I am shifting to TaxBit from another crypto tax software because of the professionalism of the team and the quality of the software.

Fantastic, customer-first company! Everyone I talk to there provides way more information than requested including tips, reminders, and recommendations to best utilize the platform. I've already seen two friends who decided not to use TaxBit receive audit notifications, while the friends who listened to my recommendation and I are compliant with TaxBit's help. I can't speak for other crypto tax platforms because I've had no reason to look further. Can't possibly recommend them any higher than I already do

I'm new to TaxBit. I needed help connecting one of my exchanges. Customer service was amazing!! It's live help, not a robo chat or emails back and forth that take a day for a response. Michael was very patient and helpful. Yes, I was able to connect the exchange. The software is really set up well. Dashboard shows portfolio balance but you can also get details by coin type, transactions, date etc. They also have a tax optimization feature that is very simple and straight forward to use. I HIGHLY recommend TaxBit.

As a novice crypto enthusiast, I am daunted by the challenges of keeping up with tax compliances. I find it a major impediment that has prevented me from engaging in any crypto transactions that would trigger a tax event. To that end, I have not taken advantage of the opportunity to engage in token staking and proof-of-work mining, all activities that would have tax consequences. Upon my contact with TaxBit, I described this situation to Alexi who responded to questions of mine on three separate occasions. She was courteous and determined that a solution would be created for me, and explained the different approaches that could be used.

I had heard through Twitter chatter that taxbit was actively working with the IRS, reporting against its customers which seems to be the opposite of its own mission.

Why did we hear about this from Twitter rather than taxbit?

I have a full brokerage account and tax atty, I am familiar with paying taxes and reporting. Thats not the problem.

If taxbit has changed its mission to the customer and, instead, become yet another long arm of the IRS, rather than an appropriate and lawful service to the consumer, the customer needs to be made aware so the customer can make informed decisions.

Great application. Figuring out taxes on crypto is impossible without TaxBit

My circumstances with tax has changed as I have a local accountant here now to take care of my situation, which has been a relief.
I also understand our system is different to the US way, meaning in the 2020 information, 2021 transactions were included.
Regardless of this, I would have changed to my new local accountant anyway.
So with that, I do thank you for your efforts but will not be continuing with your service.

Extremely responsive and helpful. Answered several questions that were quite complex and probably beyond what they needed to.

Taxbit is doing better and they have picked up stars - but they really dropped the ball in finally fixing the transaction capture process in June of 2021 after 4-5 weeks of screwing around with that. They blamed it on the revised IRS 2020 Tax filing date in May of 2021. But I and others reported this problem Back on the May-The-Fourth-Be-With-You date. They took another 3 weeks before anyone in development even looked at the issue -- and then it was "magically" fixed by around the 10th of June. I feel honored to be considered a member of the Taxbit QA/Development team. Every day checking to see if my pending transactions could be applied or not, Pinging Support, asking for status. A company built on transaction capture and calculation and the problem persisted for 5 weeks. I fortunately processed all of my 2020 Tax Transactions by Jan of 2021. But can you imagine if you were trying to calculate your taxes for 2020 in May of 2021 and you tried to capture your transactions for the 2020 tax year in early May 2021? Or wait, some of you probably experienced that. Never Mind.

This is the best tax tracker on the internet. It integrates with all crypto exchanges including BlockFi. It prints all the reports you need to prepare your tax returns or syncs your info with TurboTax. I highly recommend.
