The rail journeys were convenient and ran smoothly. The hotels were comfortable and well located, within walking distance of the station and places of interest. Avignon and Aix are lovely places to explore.

We were very lucky with the weather which helped, but Avignon and Aix are both ideal for getting around on foot with plenty to see and do in both places
