I consulted Carlos at Tailordoc to arrange my Hip Replacement Surgery in Spain. As I had already booked a holiday near Alicante I took the opportunity to meet Carlos and Dr Corby at the hospital in Valencia and also had a tour of the recovery hotel in Denia. After careful consideration between using a hospital in the UK or Spain I decided on Spain. Carlos speaks English very well, as does Dr Corby and answered all my questions before my decision. He met me at the airport the night before my operation and took me to the hospital where my husband stayed in the same room as me. The hospital stay was excellent and the food was good. The nurses were there when needed, no waiting. 48 hours later I was taken to the hotel in Denia and had physio twice a day which was amazing. The physios were so friendly, spoke excellent English and helped my recovery so much. I used an electric scooter at the hotel (which Tailordoc provided) to get out and see the marina etc. I am now home walking without any aids indoors and with one crutch when out and about, really just for confidence. People are amazed that the operation was only 18 days ago! So a big, big thank you to Carlos (who even now is just at the end of the phone should I have any questions) Dr Corby for a great new hip, and the physio team in Denia, Josh, Mar, Maria, Anna, Vincent, Jenna, Alana and others that helped me so much. They all speak English very well too. You can see they all enjoy their work and I wouldn't be where I am now without them.

Having undergone a successful left knee replacement in Australia 7 years ago, I knew exactly what a good outcome required. When my right knee needed replacing, NHS waiting times and local track records in the Scottish Highlands ruled that option out.

My extensive research led me to Tailordoc.com – and I couldn't be happier.

The entire experience was seamless:
1. Arrival & Hospital: Met by Carlos himself on a Sunday, taken directly to a fantastic private hospital suite. Nursing care was professional, pre-op tests efficient.
2. Surgery: Dr. Corbi performed the replacement first thing Monday. The procedure and immediate hospital care were excellent.
3. Recovery Starts Fast: Physio began the next day – I was weight-bearing with a walker immediately. Carlos checked in regularly to ensure everything was perfect.
4. World-Class Rehab: Carlos transferred me to a 4-star rehab hotel in Denia (beautiful junior suite, full board). Medifit provided 2 hours of dedicated physio/gym work daily. All necessary medical equipment was supplied.

The Results Speak Volumes:
Walking with one crutch within days.
Walking UNAIDED just 15 days post-surgery!

As of the date of this review I am six months post total knee replacement surgery which I had done in Valencia in Spain.

From my first contact in October 2024 up until the present day Carlos at Tailordoc has provided a first class service.

I am based in UK and I will admit to having some reservations about travelling to Spain for surgery but these reservations proved to be unfounded because of the efficient, friendly and professional service provided by Tailordoc.

From arranging a review of my scans and x-rays with the consultant, organising my hospital stay and surgical procedure and post surgery rehabilitation, airport transfers and transfer between the hospital and the rehabilitation centre everything was taken care of by Tailordoc.

I received excellent medical care in the hospital throughout my stay, and my private room allowed my husband to stay with me to be there to give me the support I needed after my surgery.

The hotel in which the rehabilitation centre was located was comfortable and the rehabilitation program was structured and comprehensive and carried out by a team of experienced and friendly physiotherapists.

At all times during my 16 day stay I felt well cared for and well looked after by hospital staff, rehabilitation staff and Carlos at Tailordoc. And since my return home Tailordoc have remained in regular contact to check on my recovery and arrange follow up consultations with the consultant and rehabilitation team.

Overall my experience has been very positive and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tailordoc to anyone who is considering knee replacement surgery.

From the first initial contact online Carlos was amazing,he listened and made me feel so safe. I had a zoom call with Dr Corbi and Carlos, I was in so much pain and distress, and the waiting time was 8 months to a year. The Hospital and staff, surgery 10/10, 3 nights in Vithas, then taken to the Daniya Hotel. The Physio and Gym sessions really beneficial, again amazing staff, the whole experience really changed my life.5⭐️

The arrangement for my visit was faultless due to Carlos Sennet's careful organisation. Dr Corbi and his medical team were extremely efficient and made sure I was cared for by the nursing staff. The anterior operation will also heal quicker than the posterior operation that is usually provided in Wales. This is due to replacing the hip without cutting the glute muscle. The Medifit team gave me various exercises to strengthen my hip for the 10 days I was in Hotel Denyia in Denia. The hotel was of a very high standard also. Faced with years of immobility and hip pain waiting for an NHS op, I decided to look at private option late last yesr.

I picked Tailordoc, and it turned out to be a great decision! Carlos the owner, is one of the friendliest, most caring people I’ve ever met. He picked me up from Valencia airport the day before the op, and drive me on a tour around the city for over an hour, to settle me in. 6 months on and he still calls and texts to check on my progress.

The operation went well with dr Corby showing similar levels of care and attention. The hospital was comfortable, and I felt well looked after.

From the hospital, I went to the rehab hotel in Denis, where the high level of service continued with the physiotherapists.

To sum up, for a little over half the price of hip surgery in the uk, I got the op and 2 weeks of rehab at an all inclusive hotel with excellent physios, which is essential for recovery!

I would thoroughly recommend Tailordoc.com. The information and guidance given by Carlos was explained clearly and concisely. No question was left unanswered and his manner was always polite and reassuring, without any pressure being placed upon me. The whole experience of travelling to Spain for knee surgery far less daunting because of the support, kindness and consideration given particularly by Carlos. Dr. Corbi, the Surgeon was quietly reassuring and my excellent recovery was undoubtedly accelerated by the amazing Rehab. provided by Astrid and her team. The combination of the support given by all (and the fact they all spoke English) very much reduced any anxiety about the process. The whole experience was worthwhile.

From the moment I emailed Carlos with my enquiry to coming home to the UK
I was treated with respect and kindness. Every question and query was answered promptly. I met the surgeon straight away and he and the nursing staff were amazing. The hotel stay in DENIA was very good and the phisio staff were very professional and kind !! Would recommend TailorDoc without hesitation.

From start to finish the whole experience was exceptional . Carlos guided me through the whole process patiently and professionally answering all questions however and whenever asked . He collect us ( my wife and I ) from our hotel in Alicante and drove us to the Hospital in Valencia on the Sunday where I underwent pre op X-rays and further information about the Operation which was carried out the next day at 11:00 hours by Dr Corbi soon to be the No1 surgeon for this type of operation ,my wife had a suite and bed in the hospital room with me . Any concerns I had about the process were quickly dismissed the care , medication and staff were second to none so much so I was able to vacate the hospital a day early to travel to the rehabilitation hotel in Denia in a private vehicle suitable for travelling after major surgery . After checking in to the lovely 4 star hotel and being taken to our excellent suite with bedroom lounge balcony and perfect bathroom . Our driver Ray went above and beyond and on his own volation went out and collected my medication plus bottles of sparkling water for fussy me .
We were amazed at the quality and choice of food each day the breakfast endless choices , three course lunch ( too much for us ) and a buffet dinner each evening just spoilt for choice . Each morning I had an hours physio therapy with staff that obviously were passionate and loved their job and couldn’t have been kinder or more perfect to help recovery , in the afternoon an hour in the Gym on a one to one basis where you were encouraged to work on various equipment to get your muscles back to A1 condition by the same team from physio who couldn’t have been better at the encouragement and kindness to make all your efforts worthwhile . Each and everyday in-between physio & gym sessions I had the use of a disability scooter which was a godsend to travel down to the Denia marina and local shops which was a bonus as my wife got a chance to visit shops and a small reward for coming with me and taking care of the bits the wonderful team couldn’t manage . It was all over too Quickly and very sad to say goodbye to all team and most of all Carlos . Ray picked us up very early in the morning and took us to Alicante airport in good time to catch our plane home to Edinburgh . Since been home each and every day an improvement in physical ability and every chance I get sing the praises of Tailordoc and recommend anyone with a hip or knee problem to contact asap . I have been home for a few weeks since my knee replacement surgery with
TailorDoc.
Following chats on line with Carlos (which were very informative)I obtained the necessary details,an on line meeting was arranged with Carlo and DrCorbi ,everything was explained about the procedure.The date was arranged soon after.
I flew to Valencia where Carlos met me and took me to the hospital ,the procedure was on the 13thJan,on the 14-16th the recovery programme started.The hospital was clean and the staff were friendly, helpful ,most spoke English,they kept me informed of the procedure and the progress of my recovery.
16thJanuary I was transferred tithe hotel in Denia,the room was airy and comfortable and once settled,I met the rehab team , again the staff were helpful and friendly. I was given a physio program,a 1hour twice daily at the hotel.The hotel facilities were very good also the food (it was a full board basis)
Access to a mobility scooter was available so you could get into town for a coffee and do some shopping,also there were excursions available at the weekend.
There others at the hotel in the same situation,friends were quickly made.
I was with TailorDoc for 18 days the care I received was exceptional it was well planned and professionally delivered .Thanks to Carlos ,Dr Corbi and the rehab team.
I was given a an exercise plan to follow up at home to continue my recovery.
When it was time to leave,I felt a little sad to leave the new friends made . I was a little apprehensive before going but the care received with TailorDoc has made it an enjoyable experience that will stay with me for many years.

I have just returned to the UK following a Full Hip Replacement with TailorDoc. While a little apprehensive at the beginning of the process, my conversations and research satisfied me that everything was genuine.

Carlos was professional and informative all the way through the process - he started as a representative and finished as a friend.

On arrival to Valencia, and during the 2 weeks I was in Spain, every part of the process exceeded my expectations. I was comfortable, kept informed, and every need was taken care of - including bringing me an IPAD Charger when mine broke!

The Hospital was clean and efficient, and there were enough English speaking staff to ensure that I was looked after and informed. Physio on day 2 and 3 was great and got me moving.

Day 3 I moved to Denia to the Spa Hotel - where the Rehab was continued - Monday pm operation, Wednesday transferred to the hotel.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious, food was good, and physio every day was fantastic. Everything was explained, and it was care rather than just exercise. As there were a number of other recoveree's at the centre, the crack was good, and everyone looked out for each other.

We had access to mobility scooters which meant we could get out and about in Denia - I went out for a couple of hours daily - to look round the area, get fresh air and drink coffee!

I could not be more appreciative of how Carlos, Dr Corbi and the Rehab team looked after me, and 12 days after the Hip Replacement I walked out of the Hotel with a spring in my step and a commitment to keep up the rehab process to maximise the benefits of having this done in Spain.

Carlos had availability within 2 weeks of verifying the medical details and getting feedback from Dr Corbi regarding suitability for the procedure.
