From the very first contact with Carlos, from Tailordoc, my experience has been outstandingly good. Carlos made all the arrangements from my arrival at Valencia airport until my departure from the same airport, and was avaliable at any time to answer any queries, etc - fantastic service. Experience at Vithas hospital in Valencia was first class, and patient care was exemplary. Dr Corbi was excellent and visited me a number of times to check that everything was ok, and the nursing care was first class. Apart from the very good reputation of the hospital, what also attracted me to have my operation in Spain was the aftercare and rehabilitation facilites that were provided as part of the package at Hotel Denyia. Not only was the hotel a very good 4 stars hotel, it also had a rehabilitation unit run by MediFit. My package included 1 hour of physiotherapy every weekday; and 1 hour gym session every weekday supervised by a physiotherapist. The physiotherapy team were outstandingly good - each one of them were so efficient, helpful and friendly. I absolutely have no hesitation in recommending the use of Tailordoc as the intermediary that makes all the arrangements, and from my personal experience Carlos is such a nice and caring guy. As I need 2 hip replacements I will definitely use Tailordoc to arrange my second visit next year. Thank you to all.

Hi, If you are thinking of using Tailordoc for a medical procedure abroad then read my story.
I was looking at a total knee replacement but as is normal in the UK its nigh on impossible especially at 54 years of age.
I spent a few months umming and arring and looked at two providers, both very well reviewed and highly recommended.
The reason I opted for Tailordoc was the fact that Carlos was very much the voice and the face of the company and explained everything to me in exact detail. Now my initial plan was to do it next year(April/May)but one twist of the knee put paid to that.
I started an enquiry in the summer with Carlos and had been getting all the relevant details i needed to make the right decision. Out of the blue in early November I contacted him and asked when the next available appointment would be as I was now struggling to walk and unable to work. To my surprise and relief he booked me in for the surgery to be done on the 19th November. Wow I was astonished but so grateful. I could see an end to this suffering. I booked a one way flight to Valencia on the 18th November. I relayed all this to Carlos and he promised to meet me at the airport upon my arrival. I still had doubts as you hear of so many scams in the UK and the world. Trust me its not a scam loool. Anyway he was indeed at the airport and took me to the hospital. Everything was going as promised by Carlos.
The suite in the hospital was bang on, the nurse were on point. The food not so but it is a hospital and not a restaurant.
I had the operation the following evening. At this stage I was so thankful that I was here and not stuck in the UK in pain and not being able to get about. The hospital staff were fantastic, informing me of every step and explaining meds etc all the time. They give you a translator phone in your room if needed. I met with the surgeon too which was comforting and Carlos also came to see me pre-op.
Once the surgery was done,the following day Carlos was there to check how I was. Not expected but a nice touch. I was encouraged to use the walker if I felt comfortable. I was up and moving(very slowly)about. Carlos introduced me to two other patients who had hip replacements. I chatted with them and they were both of the same opinion as me, thought it was a scam and cannot believe how well we were being treated by the staff and especially Carlos.
The views from the window were sun blessed.
On the 21st we were all moved to the rehabilitation centre/hotel in Denya. This place is lovely. The sun was shining(late November) we checked in with the help of Ray(driver) he organised walkers,crutches or a wheelchair, whichever you needed. This was our home for the next 12 or so days.
Our physio started on Monday so we had a whole weekend of getting used to our surroundings, the restaurant (2) the bar with sports TV and a beautiful terrace for soaking up the sun and sun loungers to boot.
The room i had was amazing, very clean,balcony, kettle tv,table with chairs,good sized shower(with chair as you will need it) and cleaned every day.
The physio was exemplary. Twice a day Monday to Friday. One session in the gym and 1 session massage. Unbelievable and they were all fantastic. Very helpful. Very caring and very knowledgeable.
Trust the process and 100%go for it if you are struggling. I will not hesitate to use Tailordoc again and I am still in touch with Carlos. He has gone over and above to ensure everything was on point.

I have just returned to the UK after having a hip replacement. I contacted Tailor. Doc with a general enquiry with regards to the surgery, Carlos contacted me the next day and gave me detailed information about the procedure, this was put in follow up e-mail. He did not pester me with an answer and left me to decide, this was different from other companies who were rather pushy.
On arrival in Valencia Carlos took me to the hospital, the first day was pre-op checks also a meeting with Dr Corbí. The surgery was carried out the following day, both Dr Corbí and all the staff at the hospital were excellent, I encountered no issues with language difficulties. Two days after the operation I was taken to the hotel in Denia. The hotel is very good, nice big rooms and excellent food. On the Monday the rehabilitation started, all the staff who carry out the rehab were fantastic. The rehab included one hour in the gym then one hour on the physio table. After a couple of days, I was easily walking with one crutch. After the 12 days in the hotel I was taken to Alicante airport, on the advice of Carlos I booked assisted travel, this is highly recommended.
I know it can be difficult when deciding to go abroad but I have no hesitation recommending Tailor Doc. I had my staples removed in the UK as my scar was not ready when I went to the hospital in Denia, the nurse could not believe how well I was walking after only 3 weeks, also how small my scar was, this is down to the service I received by the staff of Tailor Doc.

I truly believe, without them - I wouldnt be moving and recovering as well as I am today

If you are thinking of surgery abroad, then this is the company to go with, from the initial phone calls with Carlos to the hospital (3 days) for surgery then on to the hotel in Dénia for your rehab (about 12 nights) it could not have been any better, you are picked up from the airport at the start of your journey and end up taken back to the airport when it’s all over, the operation was absolutely first class with X-ray be fore , and the day after surgery, no pain whatsoever even being awake during surgery because of the spinal block and a light sedative, I never felt a thing, the hotel was fantastic and the rooms very spacious (I had a pool view ) breakfast buffet was great and you had a set lunch then a buffet dinner later, all this included in the price, you could also eat in the bar whilst enjoying a small beer( 1 ) the food in there was also very good, twice a day you had a one on one leg massage for an hour then later another hour with the physio team in the small hotel gym (fantastic) the physio is so important right from the start for getting your fitness back a lot quicker and the 6 or 7 young ladies from the physio team are so professional and caring, they even send you home with an exercise program via email which lasts a full month, but I’ve just carried it on as I’m now just 7 weeks post op and I feel great, don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of going to Valencia, this was the best decision I made and Carlos will look after you extremely well, he’s still calls now to check up on me .

After a very frustrating experience with the NHS in England and the inability to get knee replacement surgery without having to wait for 18months to 2 years minimum, I decide to explore the possibility of having surgery in Spain.
I was fortunate enough to find Tailor Doc. From the first telephone call with Carlos I started to feel that this could be the answer for me. I felt very informed about the whole process and he was able to answer the list of questions to well satisfy my concerns and the best part was that I was only going to have to wait 2 weeks for my surgery. Tailordoc has a very impressive webpage that goes into great detail about the surgery techniques, hospital, surgeon, rehabilitation and some interesting customer testimonials.
I agreed to the package and have had my surgery and can only say everything was exactly as Carlos and the website described. I can’t express enough how amazing the whole experience was.
The fact that the recovery hotel and its rehabilitation program is an integral part of part of the package it speeded up the whole recovery process and 6 weeks post surgery I was drug free and sleeping through the night.

After sustaining a further injury on an already knacked (as quoted by my GP) knee and with events planed for Xmas and 2026 holidays I decided not to wait for the NHS. I contacted Carlos at Tailordoc on 10 October to enquire about a tkr, and I arrived in Valencia for my operation on 25 October.

Right from my first contact with Carlos I was impressed with his professional, friendly approach and detailed information related to the procedure and aftercare that would take place. He explained the procedure in Valencia and the 12 days of post operation physio and gym in Denia, with the associated benefits of ensuring that one carries out the correct exercises and reduces the covalence time. Carlos did suggest that the process may be easier if I had my wife for company, which added little to the overhaul cost.

Carlos met us in Valencia and took us to the hospital where we were immediately put into the hands of an excellent team of nurses and doctors, led by the renowned Dr Corbi.

After the operation and three nights in Valencia, Taiordoc's support driver, Ray, took us to Denia and ensured that we had everything we needed on arrival at the lovely spacious 4* hotel and that we were introduced to the physio team.

The during our stay at the hotel we had three meals a day, there is a pool garden to r & r in the sun and a short distance to Denia town centre. The staff on reception were always friendly and helpful (especially Lauri)

I cannot say how pleased I am with the professional Medifit physio team, they were encouraging, friendly and knowledgeable. Every weekday I had an hours physio and an hour in the gym and on departure I was provided with a home exercise plan, that is once again ensuring I am doing the correct exercises. I have to mention Annemieke who was my main physio, she was great and we had some great laughs and banter during my treatments.

It is just three weeks to the day that I had my operation and I am not using any walking aids and can walk about 50 metres, I'm in very little pain and feeling great.

I recently had hip surgery in Valencia arranged through TailorDoc, and the whole experience has been outstanding far better than the care and treatment I would have received at home.

From the very first contact, Carlos was fantastic. He coordinated everything, kept in touch throughout, and was always quick to respond to any questions. His communication and organisation made the whole process stress-free.

My surgeon, Dr. Corby, was excellent professional, reassuring, and clearly highly skilled. The Medifit rehab package that followed was equally impressive. The daily physio and gym sessions really boosted my recovery and helped me regain confidence much sooner than expected. I was very well looked after by Dania and her team. All of whom spoke excellent English.

The rehab hotel itself was lovely the food was excellent, and the surroundings were calm and relaxing, creating the perfect environment to focus on healing.

Even after returning home, the follow-up and support from TailorDoc have continued, which has been so reassuring. The level of care, attention, and overall experience from TailorDoc, Dr. Corby, and the Medifit team has been exceptional.

I first saw a doctor about my knee in 2016 and had surgery to repair a meniscal tear. Since then I have had injections and therapy with varying success.

I am 62 fit and active but this year many of my activities have been curtailed due to pain and poor mobility. I was unable to straighten my leg and my physio advised I should seek medical help.
I saw my GP who was fairly unsympathetic and offered to refer me to the MSK team and NHS referral time was 18+ weeks and then a waiting list for surgery.
A quote for surgery privately was expensive and minimalist!

Carlos co-ordinated everything and was available every step of the way.

For me the quality of service and value for money of the total package far outweighed the inconvenience of travelling abroad. The 12 days rehab package in Denia was wonderful - I focused on myself and my recovery. Nice weather, fab food, comfortable hotel, exploring the town on a mobility scooter and meeting like minded supportive people who helped my husband and I get the most out of our stay.

My husband needed a hip replacement This was evident in X-rays but could not access any schemes such as the cross border scheme for free surgery paid by the NHS as he was not on a consultant’s waiting list for surgery, he was on the waiting list to be seen by the ICAT’s team (they assess you to see if you need a hip replacement, then you go on a waiting list to be seen by a consultant ( this is in Northern Ireland ). As his hip pain was affecting his life and ability to work, we decided to go private, we don’t have insurance so I researched this option thoroughly ! TailorDoc was a perfect fit for us. I highly recommend it. Carlos who leads it, is professional, caring and very supportive. He answered all of my many questions. He organises everything except the flights but will offer advice with this. He offers a complete wrap around service, including pick up at Valencia airport. Dr Corbi the consultant surgeon is an excellent surgeon who is highly respected. The private hospital in Valencia is modern, very clean and highly regarded. The surgery on September 2nd 2025 went extremely well. Carlos organised transport to the lovely 4 star hotel in Denia where physio was provided twice a day Monday to Friday, in their Rehab/physio suite of rooms. This was one of the main factors in our choosing TailorDoc. This level of input was the catalyst in enabling my husband to make an excellent recovery. Transport was also provided back to the airport for our journey home. Thank you again Carlos, Dr Corbi and the physio team. We would definitely use TailorDoc again if a similar situation were to occur.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The whole experience was professional but friendly. Dr Corbis, Carlos, Allana, Ray and the whole physio team were fabulously attentive. The rehab centre is very good. The hotel is lovely especially lunch. I had a few problems
(nothing serious), which are still being addressed and monitored here in the UK.

My name is Fay, I'm 65 years old and I live in Scotland.

I first went to the doctor with pain in my knee in 2018. I was told that I needed a total knee replacement, as I was bone on bone. This came as a shock as I was only 58, not overweight and very active.

I was put in touch with a physiotherapist, who told me, that because I could walk so well, that I didn't need a total knee replacement straight away and I could keep going with exercise. Therefore I decided to come off the waiting list for the surgery.

However by June 2024: The pain had got very bad. It was keeping me awake at night and stopping me from doing all the things I wanted to do. So I phoned the doctors and said I wanted to go ahead with the surgery. I waited over a year for my appointment until July 2025. Just to be told I'd have to wait another 83 weeks for my surgery.

So I decided to look on the internet. TailorDoc was the first private knee surgery that popped up. The reviews on Trust pilot were very good so I filled in the application and sent it off.

Within 20 minutes I was talking to Carlos on the telephone. He listened to all my concerns and put my mind at ease from the start. Carlos was very knowledgeable. He seemed to genuinely care about my predicament. Within the next few days he made an appointment for my husband and I to speak, via video link, with himself and Dr. Corbi.

I felt reassured after speaking to them and within three weeks, from my first call with Carlos, I was in hospital in Valencia. The care I received from Carlos, doctor Corbi and their medifit team was second to none I cannot praise them highly enough. I flew out on the 22nd and went straight to hospital. I had to arrange for a driver to pick me up, as I could only fly to Alicante. Had I flown to Valencia Carlos or his driver Ray would have picked me up.

I had my surgery, the next day, on the 23rd. During my time in hospital I was visited by both Carlos and Dr Corbi on several occasions. They made sure I was being well cared for. Carlos even went out and bought my lunch for me, after I'd told him that I hadn't eaten the hospital food!

Then after spending four days in hospital I was driven to a four star hotel in Denia. I had made friends in hospital with a lady, who had had a hip replacement and a man who had also had a hip replacement and their partners. We were all driven together to the hotel by TailorDoc's lovely driver Ray. He chatted to us all and was very considerate of our conditions. Making sure we had crutches or wheelchairs and helped book us all into our rooms, making sure we all had what we needed for our 12 days of recuperation and rehabilitation with the medifit team.

Whilst in the hotel we had access to the mobility scooters where we made full use of them! The lady I made friends with and I went out several times and had a great laugh. All the staff on the medifit team were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Each day we had one hour of physio and one hour of gym.

Now I'm home and 5 weeks post surgery I'm still in touch with Carlos and the medifit team. I have their app on my phone with the necessary daily exercises. My knee is healing exceptionally well. My sister who was a nurse with an orthopaedic trauma team, before taking her doctorate, has said I wouldn't have got anywhere near this level of care if I'd waited the extra 83 weeks in Scotland.

I also made friends with 2 other people (In the hotel) who'd had surgery and their partners as well as the four that I've already mentioned. We have made a WhatsApp group together and keep in touch in order to support each other on our journeys.

Tailordoc offers a package that simply isn't available in England, even if you go privately. My experience was faultless - being escorted from the airport to the hospital in Valencia; from the hospital to the Spa hotel and rehab centre an hour away by the sea; then back to catch my plane home. The surgeon Dr Corbi is very experienced and filled me with confidence, working as he does in one of Spain's big modern leading hospitals. Before I committed myself to this package he gave a free private consultation online, that a British surgeon would have charged for. The nurses in the hospital could have been mildly more attentive, but it was no problem. The highlight in a sense, is the rehabilitation centre offering 12 days of leisure, physiotherapy and supervised healing exercises in the gym I would never have thought of independently. Maria changed my dressings regularly and provided massage for an hour daily. Ana Maria and Anamieka ran the exercise regime for an hour daily on a variety of machines. All these young women are very qualified, pleasant, understanding and skilled in dealing with a grumpy old soul like me. And my healing was very rapid indeed. No walking stick needed to rerturn home. Lastly the accommodation was good. I was allocated a two room suite and all meals were included in a choice of restaurants, and there was a bar and pleasant outdoors with pool, too, although we were not allowed to swim in it! They even welcome a partner for free, apart from paying for meals. What's not to like? Tailordoc deserves its 5 stars. And at the end of the day this treatment is several thousand pounds cheaper than just the surgery back home.

So you will see from my earlier review in May 2025, that I have now had my second total knee replacement in July 2025 and received the same great service and outcomes. As before, surgery in Valencia and rehab with Medifit in Denia. A very good experience and everything going well with my recovery. Looking forward to getting back out there on my mountain bike soon!

Having been bounced around to various consultants in the UK, I started looking further afield. I found Tailordoc, after several phone conversations with Carlos Sennant, I booked my surgery with them. Carlos could not of been more helpful, he was waiting at the airport when I arrived, and drove me to the hospital where I met the surgeon , Dr Corbi. I had my surgery the following day, I had very little pain, and two days later was collected by Ray, transport driver and taken to the rehab hotel. Two hours of physio were provided each day by a lovely physio team who couldn't do too much to help. Carlos visited several times to check everything was ok. I cannot recommend Tailordoc, Carlos, and the whole team too highly.

Just returned from Spain after having a hip replacement. First class treatment including surgery and rehab in 4 star hotel with 2 hours physio per day. Already walking with one crutch.Definately recommend this company.

From the moment we started to research Tailordoc, my wife and I knew this experience and level of care before and after surgery was the right thing for us, going forward. My wife desperately needed a hip replacement operation. We were given constant, information regarding the hip operation, accommodation etc. Plus we were asked all the right questions, Eg; medical History, what our consultants in the UK findings were, asked for x-rays, etc. But it was also the personal side of our needs and worries that were met, which put our minds at ease. My wife was very nervous to start with going to a different country, not knowing what to expect and our Spanish was practically non existent. However, our representative Carlos Sennant, was extremely helpful and reassuring. We arrived in Valencia fairly late on a Sunday evening, but Carlos was there to meet us and take us to a very modern hospital. The Hospital was very clean, providing a bed for myself next to my wife. My wife had the operation the following day. On the third day we were transferred to a hotel in Denia where my wife was due to have 12 days of physio and gym therapy. The physio team there were wonderful, providing all the needs my wife required after surgery, helping her to walk and recover quickly. Two weeks later we are back home in the UK, she is pain free, almost as good as new. I would definitely recommend and rate highly all that Tailordoc have to offer. Oh and the Hotel Daniya, was a fabulous place to recover. I can't thank Tailordoc, Carlos and my surgeon Dr.Pedro enough.

i entrusted my hip replacement to Tailordoc and the experience was outstanding. Carlos is the face of this company, he met us at the airport and took us to a modern state of the art hospital in Valencia, where he settled us in. Next day Dr Ferdinand Coby of international reputation took just 40 minutes using an incesion just 2.5 inches long. 3 hours later I was walking with a zimmer under the care of a physio. Exercise and rest for 2 days then we were moved to the Recovery Centre; located in a 4* hotel in a resort on the coast. Here I had 1 hour of massage and 1 hour in a private gym for 10 days under the care of Medifit. Professional pysios who worked in sympathy with my personal needs. This set me up for a swift and full recovery. Just 7 weeks later I can walk without aid and just a small limp, ride my bike, return to playing bowls and resume a life that is full with an invigourated attitude.
I have tried to find some critiscm of Tailordoc but have not been able to find any. Later on my other hip will need attention and I shall not even bother looking anywhere else. If it were not for a pre-booked holiday Carlos would have arranged for the job to be done within 2 weeks of contacting him. This compares to a wait of 4 months in a private hospital in Norwich. The price I paid was significantly less than here - and that included airfares -, Dr Coby's operation is significantly in advance of the British one and the recovery time very much less.
I strongly suggest you consider Tailordoc and Carlos

I had my hip replacement recently and was naturally a bit nervous going in — but from the very start, the staff made me feel safe and looked after.

I want to especially mention Carlos — he genuinely went above and beyond.

Not only was he professional and kind, but when I realised I’d forgotten my phone charger, he didn’t hesitate — he left the hospital on his own time and came back with one for me.

That small act of kindness meant the world at that moment.

Throughout my stay, Carlos constantly checked in on me, made sure I was comfortable, and brought a level of personal care you don’t often see.

He made a tough experience feel more human and dignified.

The whole team were fantastic, but Carlos stood out.

He’s a credit to your hospital and a shining example of what real care looks like.

Thank you to everyone involved in my recovery — and an extra thank you to Carlos. I won’t forget it.

Initially, I was impressed by how quickly I was connected with a representative. He was responsive and took the time to discuss my options for Total Knee Replacement (TKR) in detail. He then scheduled a consultation with Dr. Corbi, who, after assessment, advised that I was not suitable for TKR due to my age (37). Instead, he recommended a lateral release and ligament realignment procedure.

Unfortunately, the consultation didn’t inspire much confidence. Dr. Corbi was 30 minutes late to the appointment, appeared distracted, and didn’t acknowledge or apologise for the delay. Still, I remained open to proceeding with the recommended surgery.

I was told I’d receive a quote within a week—but nearly two weeks passed with no communication. When I followed up, there was no apology for the delay, and I was told it was my responsibility to chase them if I didn’t hear back. That response felt dismissive.

At that point, I chose to walk away. I couldn't shake the impression that because I wasn't a candidate for a higher-value procedure like TKR, my case became less of a priority. I’m ultimately glad I opted out before moving forward. I wouldn’t feel comfortable placing my knee—and recovery—in the hands of a team that seems to treat patient value based on profitability.

I wish them well, but this wasn’t the right fit for me.
