Disappointed

Been a user since early since 2018. I thought the app was worth it to even make a few dollars here and there. It is not worth it at all. They have way too many promotions and giveaways and there's no limit to supply distributed so the coin actually loses value over time. I have also done the MATH with the promotion for $20 $50 gift cards that people buy or get to purchase stuff. These promotions only give more money to those in the middle of the transactions in between the offers. I am selling everything once my unlocks happens in about 90 days and deleting app will no longer use it at all. They actually deserve 0 stars not even 1.

Hi Tank,

First off, thank you for being part of our community since 2018 — we truly appreciate your long-time support.

We’re sorry to hear you’re feeling disappointed with the direction of the app and the value of your $SWEAT in our sister app, Sweat Wallet.

Our aim with both our apps has always been to reward movement and create real-world utility from it, and that includes ongoing promotions, giveaways, and new earning opportunities to keep our ecosystem engaging and active. Note, we do all this while offering our app totally free of charge.

To clarify a few points:

Supply and value: SWEAT operates on a carefully designed tokenomics model. While more coins are generated through movement, the difficulty to mint new SWEAT increases over time — a mechanism designed to manage inflation. We're also actively expanding the utility of SWEAT to support long-term value through staking, rewards, and external integrations.

Promotions and gift cards: We partner with trusted third-party providers for offers and gift card promotions. While some intermediary parties may benefit (as in any rewards ecosystem), many users find these offers a valuable way to redeem their movement for real-world products and services.

We understand if you feel this no longer aligns with your expectations, but your feedback is important to us. If you do decide to leave, we hope you’ve at least gotten value from being rewarded for something as beneficial and positive as walking while using our free apps.

Wishing you all the best,
Team Sweatcoin

Love Sweatcoin

Love Sweatcoin. It takes me awhile to get enough to bid on anything good but when I do I know that I will get it or the money that it would have cost. I won the switch recently and they couldn’t get it so they sent money to my PayPal Instead.

Sweatcoin is a Deceptive Engagement Trap – Avoid It

I’ve been with Sweatcoin for as long as I can remember. When I first joined, accumulating 20,000 SWC could earn $1,000 USD with easy redemption. Over time, however, the value of Sweatcoins has plummeted, making it nearly impossible to redeem anything worthwhile—even with my 44,000 SWC. Auctions are stacked against users, and “prizes” seem more like bait than real rewards.

Then came SWEAT Wallet, where I’ve been “minting” SWEAT tokens daily. I currently have over 31,000 $SWEAT, which the associated Sweatcoin app claims is worth ~$200 USD. My Sweatcoin transaction screen clearly recognizes me as the owner of this SWEAT wallet, yet I am completely locked out.

After replacing my phone due to damage, I suddenly found myself unable to access my SWEAT Wallet account. The only way back in? An activation email from April/May 2022—an email that I never received. According to Reddit and other forums, this has happened to many users, who have been locked out, lost their balances, or forced into a total account reset—wiping out years of accumulated earnings.

Customer support? Completely unhelpful, robotic responses with no way to escalate. Sweatcoin profits off user engagement while making it as difficult as possible to benefit from the rewards they claim to offer.

⚠ BEWARE: If you ever switch devices, you may lose everything.

Hi Adam,

We're so sorry to see such a negative review here, and are sorry that you weren't able to locate your activation email to log into your Sweat Wallet after changing devices.

However, please note that this activation email including your seed phrase (unique to you) was sent out when you "opted in" to walk for crypto, assuming you did opt in at some time.

Unfortunately, just like any other non custodial crypto wallet, we do not hold multiple copies or "backups" of these emails, they are sent out one to each user and we're sure to let our users know that they must keep this very safe for future use.

Like you've said, if you switch devices and didn't make a note of your seed phrase/keep this email safe, you will lose access to your wallet.

However, I see that our support team have helped you in offering a wallet reset as a good will gesture to ensure you can receive a new email and subsequent wallet. Do make sure to keep hold of your access keys for future access.

Many thanks,
Team Sweatcoin

0/10 to 10/10 real quick

I've been using sweatcoin for over 10 years now, without problem. A couple of months ago, I finally had my first hiccup. I was unable to login with my old account after an update to the app. When I tried to sign back in, I was unable to use my email or phone number. I reached out to the customer service email to get some help. Eventually, I received an answer. The first representative I received was far from helpful, (I'm leaving out their name for sake of privacy) and attempted to send me in circles. I was not enthused so I asked for another representative. When I got Carro, they responded quickly and was very thorough. They solved my dispute without problem and I would recommend them for any of your issues.

Total Scam

Walking earns Sweatcoin. Sweatcoin site offers coupons to buy unless you pay to use Sweatcoin as a Premium Member. Total scam

Hi,

We're sorry you've felt the need to leave us such a negative review here, but please note that accusations of us being a "scam" are completely inaccurate and could be potentially damaging to our business.

We have great offerings in our marketplace for both free and Premium users, but of course as with any Premium subscription, there additional perks in this plan which include differing offers than the free users have access to.

Could you please explain in more detail what makes you feel this is a "scam"? If you could share more feedback with us at support@sweatco.in then we'd love to hear more and improve where possible.

Many thanks,

my 5 years journey

I’ve been using Sweatcoin for over 5 years, and I really loved it when I first joined. Over time, the app has added some cool features like lotteries, auctions, and a marketplace, which is nice. However, what’s started to annoy me is the way they push extra perks by encouraging you to watch ads. It was fine at first, but now the ads are 1 minute long each, they’re everywhere, and for any little benefit, you have to watch one. It’s become quite frustrating. The app used to feel more rewarding, but the constant ads are really starting to take away from the experience.

I’m currently on the premium subscription, but I’m seriously considering deleting the app once it expires. Over the past few years, I’ve received little to no value. All the lotteries and bids haven’t led to any wins despite my active participation. So, why keep draining my phone’s battery for something that doesn’t bring any real benefits?

It might work for some, but it doesn’t for me anymore.

Hi Max,

Firstly, thank you so much for your thorough and thoughtful review.

We thank you so much for your dedication to Sweatcoin and walking, and are so happy to hear you've been with us for so many years! 💜

Regarding ads, while we appreciate that ads can be annoying, they are completely optional within our app and are only visible in the "daily rewards" section, where those who wish to gain more rewards for watching them can. However, again, this is optional, so if you wish to just walk for your sweatcoins and not watch ads, we'd encourage you to disengage with the "daily rewards" feature entirely.

Note, that advertising revenue helps keep Sweatcoin a float and is something we will continue to incorporate into our free app. However, your feedback is well noted and has been passed along to our product team, especially regarding the length of some of the ads.

Regarding finding limited value in our app in general, we would encourage you to stick around, as this year holds some really amazing improvements and new features which we think you'll love, and are focused around adding more value to our wonderful users.

We hope you'll stick with us while we work to improve!

Thank you and Happy Sweatcoining!

Waste of time.

Waste of time.

I went onto a new phone and tried to log in with my secret phrase but wouldn’t work. Contacted the team and the same messages repeated not helping and were unable to do anything other than rest my account meaning I would lose my sweat coins that I earned!!
No way of getting my account back apparently even though I have my secret phrase. All I want to do is access my account but nope they can’t help.

I never lost my email! I have my seed code but it will not log me in. Tried contacting you and you said if the code doesn’t work there’s nothing you can do. But as you have clearly stated in your reply the seed phrase is the one thing you need to log in, WHICH I HAVE. Hold on to my seed phrase which I have! JOKE and SCAM don’t bother as I have loads of coins and now no access so. WASTE OF TIME.

Hi Sara,

Thank you for sharing your experience of our sister app, Sweat Wallet, here.

We understand the frustration here, but note all our users who signed up to walk for crypto as part of our sister app Sweat Wallet, were sent an activation email, which was clearly subject lined "Do Not Delete: Important!". This email held your seed phrase which was needed to set up your account and needed if you needed to log back in after logging out in the future.

Seed phrases are very common in the crypto world, and most crypto wallets have one and only one copy which is sent to the user themselves (in this case the only copy was sent to yourself).

Note, our support team mentioned a few times that the best thing is to locate your seed phrase email to log in from your end, but when you weren't able to locate it offered you a chance to set up a new wallet and start fresh, which you accepted.

Though we appreciate losing this email is frustrating, this is not our responsibility, and it's unfortunate that such a negative review has been left for us as a result of this.

If we can help with anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us, but we would kindly remind you to make sure you hold on to any new seed phrases to ensure you don't lose access to your new wallet.

Best,
Team Sweatcoin

Is Sweatcoin a scam?

Ok so first of all I do want to buy a watch that in my money costs like 5200. And with this app I can get 90% discount and buy it with just 520. I don't really trust that and can't just pay and then it will be a scam, pls answer my question if it is really legit. Cuz just from an app I can get 90% discount on a Genova watch? I can't believe lol.

Awful Staff, Support, and Design

I have been a dedicated member of Sweatcoin since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, and I’ve always appreciated the app’s efforts to incentivize a healthier lifestyle. However, my recent experience with their new crypto integration and staff has left me completely disgusted.

After taking a break from the app, I was excited to check out the new Sweatcoin crypto that was finally released. Eager to connect my account, I downloaded the wallet, but each time I tried to link it, I received the message, “Account Connection Failed. We could not pair your sweat wallet to your sweat account.” This was frustrating, especially since my email addresses on both apps are the same.

I reached out to Sweatcoin for assistance, explaining the issue and seeking help, but the response I received was not only unhelpful but entirely unfair. They offered a solution that didn’t work and then eventually suggested a reset of my account, which I reluctantly agreed to. Three days later, I was told I had "failed their fraud check," despite never being asked to verify ownership of my account. Had I been given the opportunity, I would have happily provided any proof they needed.

Instead of offering a reasonable explanation or an alternative solution, they simply stated, “We've investigated this one, and we stand by the reasons for why you were banned.” This makes no sense to me. I went from needing help to being banned without any clear justification.

I’ve been a loyal user of Sweatcoin for years, but after this experience, I can no longer recommend the app or its crypto opportunities to anyone. It’s clear that they are more focused on their sponsors and affiliates than on truly caring about the users who supported them from the beginning. As a longtime member, I cannot and will no longer recommend this app to others. Very disappointing.

Absolutely waste of time

Absolutely waste of time of you want to get anything of value from this. Basically it’s unrealistic goals and you get offered first month rewards of vouchers but strangely as soon as you almost reach the required coin amount they vanish! I needed 800 of their coins for a £15 B&M voucher in my first month. Got to 787 coins in three weeks then it changed to needing 2000 coins. Offer then vanished a week later. Only way to win seems is to be to pay the monthly membership of £5. The shop offers are mainly stuff anyone can get on trial or need to be new members of the company they advertising. It’s basically not worth the effort to try and do it if you’re wanting sweet rewards for walking. Also not worth doing if you have a gambling addiction or your vunable due to cost of living as all the advertising you need to watch are for get quick money from apps you know won’t pay you the thousands they promise. Best thing is to use a simple app to monitor your steps and set yourself goals. Very disappointing considering it was promoted by a medical company I was involved with.
