Can’t be trusted - poor customer service

Despite several phone calls, emails and 3 months waiting patiently for a refund - nothing. There’s no way to get through, extremely frustrating situation. Clearly never going to see my money again???

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service - have closed the park down but are ignoring requests for refunds. Conveniently the email address they’ve provided “isn’t in use” and so nobody will be replying, you have to just “monitor your bank account” and hope to see the money you’re owed show up in there. Pitiful.

Have used this place numerous times for surfing over the years and spent hundreds with them. The Wave in Bristol is about to get a whole new bunch of customers after this nonsense

Do not book here

Do not book here, horrendous booking management and communication. We were booked in for a stag over the weekend for 2 nights, we turn up and they’ve only booked us in for one night. We were left in the dark about what’s going to happen on the second night. Our surfing lesson was cancelled and replaced with total wipeout, fair enough, only to be told 45mins before the start of the session, that the wipeout it’s also broken and they’ve known about it for a while so we’re on kayaks and paddle boards. We booked into the sports bar for the evening only to be moved into a conference room at the Hilton, no bar, no pool table, with no explanation. Dirty toilets, cramped pods and overpriced. To make up for the hassle and stress it caused us we were given 3 rounds of drinks on the house and a free breakfast, which they’re now trying to charge us for! Save your money and go elsewhere. Shambles of company.

Cancelled and No Refund

No option to put no stars. Our Sons surf lesson was cancelled after we had travelled from Liverpool to North Wales due to ‘maintenance issues’. This was the second time it had been cancelled by Adventure Park Snowdonia at the last minute. It’s been four weeks and have not received a refund for the lesson and really poor communication from Adventure Parc. Really really bad customer service. Definitely won’t be using ever again.

Won't be rebooking

Still waiting for a refund after our birthday treat trip for 4th June was cancelled at short notice due to "maintenance issues" with the wave machine. Have to say I was considering rebooking again when I could organise family to commit to a new date but as they are so slow in refunding I certainly won't be bothering again. Very bad customer service!!!!!!!

Be careful about booking here

I booked a surfing session and camping pod for later this month. I was contacted a few days later saying the surf machine had broken and that it would be closed for the rest of the month. They are now refusing to refund me and instead are just offering a voucher to use within 12 months (which is no good as I live nowhere near the parc and this was part of a holiday to the area), despite them being the ones who cancelled the surfing. Awful experience and I'm now having to look into how I can get my money back. UPDATE: They have now refunded my money, but no message to let me know - only realised when I checked my account.

Surf lesson great, rest not

The beginners surfing lessons were brilliant. At approx 2pm the wave machine broke so no more surfing until the next morning.
The indoor ninja course, etc were empty. My teenagers weren't allowed in by themselves, only in a group with an "instructor" and this was only once daily at 4.30pm on the days we were there, which was fully booked. Similarly the indoor caving, soft play, zip wire over the lagoon.... empty with loads of kids around who would have loved it. if you're only open for an hour a day and so cater for only 10 people per day don't advertise it on your website. It's half term, plan ahead?

Fantastic time at surf snowdonia at the indoor adventure on the 12.30pm session. My daughter loved it and so did i!! Staff were fantastic, especially with my 6 year old daughter; encouraging her and supporting us as a family. BIG BIG THANK YOU TO DILLON (hope i spelt it correctly) on the front desk. Sorted us out and made the whole thing possible. Lovely bloke and had such a kind manner. Brilliant time.

Surf Snowdonia is Mega!

This is a review of Surf Snowdonia, I've not done any of the other stuff there so can't comment on anything other than the surfing.
Surf Snowdonia is amazing! The location is stunning, the staff are brilliant, you feel very safe there with lifeguards really watching every section of the wave, and also giving tips and advice.
If you're a complete beginner then go for the beginner wave, but if you've done even a little bit of surfing in the past and can sometimes get up, I'd recommend trying intermediate 1.
Intermediate 2 may be a bit intimidating if you're very inexperienced, but the beginner wave may be a bit of an anticlimax if you have surfed before and can occasionally get to your feet.
I am very out of practice, mid 40s, I probably get a decent session every couple of years, I did intermediate 2 (actually thinking I might have bitten off more than I could chew) but it was mega, I'd recommend this one if you're relatively competent but maybe a bit out of practice.
You may want to get your fitness level up a bit in the run-up to this if you're a bit out of shape (like me) as you're talking the best part of 20 waves, one wave about every two or three minutes, obviously you don't have to take them all, but would be a shame to pay for them and then have to sit a few out (as I almost did as I was cream crackered towards the end).
Get there as early as possible, 45 mins to an hour before if poss, you'd be surprised how long it takes to get ready and get through the safety briefing, and if you're on the far side it can take 5 minutes just to walk around there.
Anyway, defo recommended!

Great ideas badly for executed

Surfing and activities great if a little expensive. Glam king very badly thought out - no amenities (particularly in the lagoon pods) staff who don’t really have a clue what’s going on. Lagoon pods miles from the car park and toilet block meaning long walks. Not private with the public walking past all day. You also don’t need an alarm clock as you’ll be woken every morning by a lorry emptying the septic tank right behind the pods. Very odd - could be great but really badly executed. No swimming as not enough staff, lots closed despite it being bank holiday

Bitter and sweet experience

Booked for beginners surfing online even though we have been novices for a while, we still had been advised to do another training session. So we did. Company took all phone and email details. I called in the morning to see if it was ok as it was raining all day. Drove 2 hours and they said that it had been cancelled due to rain. I asked why they had not informed me via text/or email but could not answer the question. Totally dismayed by the way this was handled. I was offered a cup of coffee.
Later the money has been refunded and an additional voucher had been sent for us to spend and return.
On the back of this voucher, I have given the place a 4 star as it did look fun but the 4-hour drive was a total downer when an sms even 30mins before the session would have been a better decision.

Booked a glamping pod and surfing for…

Booked a glamping pod and surfing for October half term as my son was skiing on nearby Llandudno for the week, unfortunately he broke both thumbs and his ribs on a skiing accident 3 weeks before our stay. They refused to refund our break stating the terms and conditions stated vouchers only, as we would not be returning o asked for a refund, this took two weeks getting escalated to senior management they even suggested my son could watch me surfing without having a go.. they did eventually decide to refund but we only received £200 back out of a £1000 booking, they don't reply to phone calls or emails, be careful on booking. Shame really considering but they don't care about customer service and won't repay you if you've made a larger than average booking 😓 I am now stuck with my son at home doing nothing for October half term because they are refusing to answer emails or refund our booking

cancelled by Adventure Parc

My family have a booking for eight people in August 2020 to attend the adventure parc. We received an email yesterday informing us that due to what is going on in the UK and around the world with the covid 19 virus that the adventure Parc will be closed and that our pre-paid tickets have been cancelled. They have informed us that we will get an E ticket which we could use next year. ( we have not been offered our money back)
We totally understand that things need to be cancelled due to the virus however we would like a full refund and not an E-ticket as we have not cancelled our day trip to Adventure Parc (Adventure Parc cancelled which we understand why) and that my family are coming over from New Zealand ( or not due to the virus we will have to wait and see) My family will only be in the UK for three weeks and we are not sure when they will return to the UK. I believe we should of been asked if we wanted an E-ticket or our money back. We totally understand about the Parc having to close however we paid for eight tickets in good faith and we should be given a choice of E-tickets or money back from your customer service as everyone’s situation is different and an E-ticket will not be suitable for everyone. We as a family cannot afford to lose our money as this year has been very difficult for everyone and many of our family have not had any income coming into the house hold due to the virus so please consider the offer of E-tickets or money returned. Thank you

Amazing venue and amazing staff

Myself and my 3 kids aged 11, 10 & 8 had a lesson in the beginners session with Tom. He and the session were both fantastic. The wave machine is a little scary to start but Tom was with us the whole way helping, supporting and giving us great advise. Having never surfed before he even managed to get my 11yr old up on the board!! I would also recommend paying for some photos as they have come out brilliantly and are a great reminder of a great day!! Thanks to you all
