I have had many lesson requests from Superprof and they continue to support what I'm doing in my field.

Very misleading experience SCAM!
Very misleading experience. I signed up believing I was paying to arrange tutoring lessons, only to discover I was being charged a £39 “Student Pass” fee simply for contacting tutors — even though no lessons were booked or taken.
The way this charge was presented during sign-up was not clear at all. Had it been obvious that the fee was non-refundable regardless of whether lessons happened, I would never have proceeded.
Customer service repeatedly copied and pasted the same responses instead of genuinely addressing the concern that the payment terms were unclear. They refused any goodwill refund despite no tutoring ever taking place.
In my opinion, the sign-up flow is designed in a way that many users could easily misunderstand.
Feeling overcharged and scammed
I would not recommend using Superprof for a number of reasons. I went through the tutors that had a profile for face to face tutoring bug they then said they didn’t. I arranged an online uk tutor who dropped out at no notice and got a guy in India. He was very good and I booked 4 hours. However, I then got charged £39 by Superprof for a 2nd month that I didn’t want. They wouldn’t refund it. Then two days later charged another £76 by Wiingy for tutoring I had not asked for. Try to get a refund for this.
Stay away scam
Stay away. They said money wont be taken until a tutor accepting you. Someone accept it, Superprof took the money but then suddenly messages all disappear, can't contact her again. Send email to superprof. 2 days didn't get any respond. Email other tutor, notification said he accept but nothing else happened. It said waiting for respond till the next day. Contact another more more weird. I cut my lost before lost more money.
Beware of Ramandeep Kaur from India
Ramandeep Kaur teaching Punjabi from India (+918708664517) scams people using the SuperProf platform. She asked me to make upfront payment for ten lessons and then did not turn up. I paid for a service I did not receive. I’ve asked for a refund but she is refusing to send payment. Be wary!
Awesome Platform
Nice! Platform, easy to sign up, Fast customer response and Amazing set of TUTORS. Keep it up guys👍🏽
Would not recommend.
Using it for the first time hasn’t been a good experience, picked a tutor, money has been taken from my bank account, tutor declined as was not available, contacted SP tram ( AI ) to get money back, AI told me to go to messages to cancel… no way to cancel, told AI couldn’t cancel and AI told me the team would contact me, next thing I’ve got a message telling me that another tutor has accepted my request for their services lol, I hadn’t requested anything further, messaged the tutor to tell him I hadn’t requested his services and that presumably the AI or one of their team had done it on my behalf… I then emailed SP directly and got an auto response that they will be in touch… all that has happened since is further email suggestions of other tutors.. not impressed.
Rip off
I subscribed, believing that I would be charged if I found a tutor and had a lesson. I did not find a tutor, and was charged 2 x £39 before I realised what an utter scam it is. Thank God I realised before they took more money from me, for doing nothing more than providing me with contact details that didn't lead to anything.

Dark Pattern Leveraging Unethical Company
I am appalled by the absolute abhorrent dark patterns used to secure "Student Pass" renewal fees. While paying TOP DOLLAR for a tutors time, I realised months later I was also paying £39 per month for some nonsense subscription for an "unlimoted contact to all tutors". They have be SO SNEAKY about this, only showing lesson payments in the "Payment History" section, but hiding the subscription payments in a obscurely titled "Receipts" section and hidden notification subject "😎 Already X months with Superprof" being there way of telling you "You just paid for another month sucker. I cannot believe I fell victim to this as this does not happen to me. I will be demanding a refund for these and cancelling further dealings with the sad, desperate, middleman company they are.
UPDATE:
Asking for a refund and Archie has responded with:
"We note that the subscription wasn’t canceled on your end, so the Student Pass was automatically renewed.
That said, I can confirm that your subscription has now been canceled, and no further charges will be made.
I hope this explanation makes the subscription process a bit clearer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything else you’d like to discuss."
Asked again and Archie followed up with:
"As an online platform, all our communication is done via email, so we encourage checking your inbox regularly.
As a gesture of goodwill, I’d be happy to provide you with a free 30-day extension of your Student Pass, which you can activate at any time within the next 12 months.
Just let me know if you’d like to use it, and I’ll take care of the rest for you"
Speaks volumes.

Disappointing, not unlimited at all
It charges £39 for one month and it says unlimited pass then after some contacts it doesn't let you contact anymore. The message states you have reached limits per day and it stays after that until your membership runs out and you cannot contact any tutors. That means nearly 15 days of my membership was wasted.
Most of the tutors refuse you anyway. If you are lucky you will find one but then they ask for more hourly rate.
I think the monthly pass is way too expensive and if you are lucky you will find one turor.
Plus the help centre is not very helpful. They take a long time to answer and they were rude.

Unclear misleading pricing
Unclear misleading pricing. When I contacted superprof they wouldn't refund, despite acknowledging the pricing is misleading. Difficult platform to use, would not recommend for tutors or clients.

A great way to connect with students
I've been using the Superprof platform as a tutor for the last few years and it's been a great way of connecting with students. I've been able to develop my tutoring skills and find the platform simple enough to use. There isn't a platform quite like it in terms of how many different things you can learn on the platform.
Trusted Site
As a teacher, I highly recommend this site. Enquiries are genuine and the students I have met via Superprof have been so lovely.
Great tutoring platform
Superprof is a great website and I enjoy using it to teach. Students can easily find you and put in lesson requests. The platform makes it very easy to communicate with students and it’s easy to navigate.
Super Shady Business Model
I signed up to Superprof so I could find a guitar teacher for my daughter. The way it's posed is you pay an up front fee if you book a lesson. By paying this fee, you gain access to the ability to contact as many potential teachers as you would like. Each time I reached out to one of their listed tutors, they would immediately respond saying they were available, then when I tried to actually schedule with them they would mysteriously decline the the lesson they had so quickly responded yes to. I reached out to at least 5 different people and each time it was the same situation. Lo and behold I was charged a fee even though no one actually followed through. I was told because they initially accepted my request it counted toward the fee. To add insult to injury I was charged a recurring monthly subscription fee I was unaware of for this awful experience. The business model is very shady as it encourages engagement but no actual follow through. In fact, I'm pretty sure many of the "tutors" on the site aren't real and are only there to pad the site out and generate engagement/fees. I would absolutely not recommend using their services. I was refunded two of the 5 months of fees I unknowingly paid after MUCH back and forth with their customer service. Total waste of my time and money.

Great Platform for Tutors
Superprof is a reliable platform for connecting with serious students. It’s easy to use, and a well-optimized profile helps you attract quality opportunities. It has helped me expand my reach and present my skills professionally.
Highly recommended for anyone serious about tutoring.

Superprof
Superprof - SIMPLY DO NOT USE!
1. Customer service is extremely disappointing
2. Platform that prioritizes squeezing money out of users over actually delivering value - quality of tutors is poor
3. Subscription suggests unlimited access to tutors but reality is its limited!
4. Responses feel dismissive, and it doesn’t seem like they genuinely care about resolving customer concerns.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM

Very poor service DO NOT USE
Very poor service. Quality of tutors on platform is very poor. Platform blocks you from contacting tutors after a limit even though it says unlimited contacts for a subscription pass. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM.

Did a free trial and was not happy with the tutor chosen back in Feb. The company has been taking monthly payments from my account since Feb 26, even though I'm not using their services. Be careful, as they try to get you to subscribe to a service without your knowledge, and they have not refunded me. Don't trust this company.

Trying my hardest to cancel my subscription. Typed “cancel subscription” into the help section of their website, no help. Emailed them one automated response and nothing else. The tutors they have cannot help me. They have took £78 and tutoring. All I want is a refund and to cancel the supposed subscription.
