Superdrug customers be aware
I want to make all Superdrug customers aware while shopping in Superdrug located in Bromborough, The Croft retail park on 10th December 2025. I purchased a Sally Hansen step 1 gel nail varnish and other nail varnishes by Sally Hansen. There was an offer on the Sally Hansen range: "If you spend £15 then the step 2 101 top coat miracle gel shiny/brilliant 14.7ml was free." After being served and paying for my items, I noticed that I had been charged £10 for this supposed free gift. There was a very large queue, and I didn't want to wait to be served all over again, so I hoped a member of staff on the shop floor could help. I spoke to a mature lady who was no help at all. She just told me that I would need to wait in the queue for the manager. I asked if the manager was at the checkout already. She said no. I asked if she could call for the manager for me, as I really couldn't see the point in waiting at least 20 mins in the queue (there was only one member of staff serving and a very large queueof Christmas shoppers.) if only the manager could help, but she refused.
She seemed to be annoyed with me. Luckily, a younger male member of staff overheard the conversation and was more reasonable, professional, and logical. He called the manager for me. The manager came and suggested that I must be somehow at fault. I had already taken a photo of the Sally Hansen offer and showed him my receipt, proving I'd spent over £15 and was entitled to the free gift. He then went marching back to the first aisle where the Sally Hansen stand was, which was on the other side of the shop. I had no other choice but to follow. He then told me that I had taken the wrong free gift. He called another member of staff over. She said only the silver bottles of the step 2 Sally Hansen top coats were free, but that they had none left. I showed her the bottle I had, and she admitted that I did indeed have the correct free gift bottle. Then the manager told me that sometimes the store has problems recognising free gifts when scanning at the tills. I feel that this is unacceptable. I was lucky, I'd realized before leaving the shop that I was overcharged by £10. But I strongly feel that I must make other shoppers aware. Superdrug do not always honour their free gift deals unless they are forced to do so, because their tills don't always recognise that the item is meant to be free. I wonder how many shoppers this year have unwillingly paid for their "free gift." I know that I was charged £10 for mine. And to add insult to injury, I was made to feel somehow in the wrong by the first lady I spoke to and the manager. Even though the manager admitted that he was aware this is a known issue. I urge all Superdrug customers to double check that they are indeed receiving their promised free gift and not being charged for it. This time of year is expensive enough without being charged extra. Superdrug you can and must do better for your customers. If you are promoting products by offering free gifts in store, then you must ensure those gift are actually free. I am not a happy customer. If you the customer have experience being charged for a "free gift " at Superdrug then please write your story here on Trustpilot. Superdrug needs to be made aware of this issue. I also shop in Boots and I have never had this problem there.

Great service
Great service! Went to Superdrug in Worthing & even though the queue was big, I was seen to very quickly. When I asked to find an item, staff member was helpful & walked me to the item. Also, when served at the till, was greeted by a very friendly, smiley staff member called Chloe. Will just come here for all my stuff from now on 👍

Appalling Customer Service - Broadway Bradford
From the moment I walked into the store I was treated like a potential shoplifter simply, I feel, for wearing a hat with a Bradford City Football team logo on it. The staff on the shop floor were following me and asked me rudely and abruptly, on two occasions, if I needed help. They were clearly discussing me on their headsets and watched my every move around the store and as I put down the items I was about to purchase and left.
I think it was appalling that I was treated in this way and I left the store feeling uncomfortable, harassed and upset.
I would appreciate someone discussing this matter with staff at Broadway Bradford and explaining to them, through further training, that it is not appropriate to target and harass customers simply for wearing a football hat, or anyone for that matter. Furthermore, while I appreciate shoplifting is prolific in retail at the moment, perhaps staff should observe customers discreetly and not employ aggressive, harrassing tactics which drives law-abiding, regular customers, like myself, away.
Even though it will mean very little to the company, I will never again shop at Superdrug and I will be switching from Superdrug mobile.

I was followed
As soon as I walked into superdrug I immediately got followed by a worker which I soon found out was the boss. He's a brunette middle aged man. As a 14 year old girl I felt very uncomfortable. I was trying out the tester bottles as I was supposed too. 5 minutes later after that I got told that I was messing about and he told me to exit the building.

I cannot log in to my account due to Superdrug technical problems. They are unable to fix this problem. This means that I cannot have a blood test done. I have rung the store but it always goes to answer phone and nobody rings back. I have spent hours trying to solve this problem that started 10 months ago.
Hi everyone
Hi everyone,
I want to describe an absolutely appalling standard of service and CRM skills by Superdrug online pharmacy. I was not going to write this view originally as i thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt by a simple reasonable phone call. However, customer service failed miserably by a long measure in establishing any kind of understanding about the consumer rights act.
Anyway, i purchased a branded medical item from their online pharmacy which when I received was completely the wrong item from what was advertised on their site. The brand of the item was completely different and the most generic sub-standard replacement I could of received.
I called customer service to complain about this and their reply to me was " we dont offer refunds or replacements ". The most inconsiderate reply you can get when ordering a medication for not just a customer but a patient. They also said that the branded item they advertise does not necessarily mean that its the item you will recieve. Again, consumer rights act policy needs to be re-educated here under the misleading of sales act and misrepresentation of goods to a purchasing customer.
To customer service comedically I had to use an analogy of a shopping experience describing a situation where they bought an item that wasnt the item portrayed in the advertisement. Without any offer of trying to resolve the matter their reply was "we will take your comment under consideration ".
At no point during the conversation were they willing to offer any alternative solution. Their standpoint was that they could use any picture they wanted as an example of the product, but you must read the terms and conditions. Ok, well, next time i order anything online that looks like the item i want to purchase I will remember that fine statement Superdrug. The last thing I want to do is purchase an item that just resembles what I wanted "chuckles".
My leaving comments on the telephone were that i didn't want to pursue this matter through review online and I would rather come to a reasonable outcome for both parties or it would have to escalated. I think Superdrug really needs to understand customer/client/patients rights under the consumer rights act and should be mindful of what their advertising online.
I have dealt with fantastic companies such as Dr Fox and Pharmica which I highly recommend. These companies have sent me products in the past and replaced them without any concerns whatsoever. Very professional which is less than can be expected from Superdrug.
If anyone is ordering from this site please be carefull as Superdrug have stated "check terms and conditions" as they dont have to advertise an item that theirvselling as the correct item whatever that means.

Excellent Customer Service
I had such a great experience at the Superdrug in Westfield White City thanks to Christine. She was genuinely kind, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about the products I needed. Instead of rushing me through, she took the time to explain options, make thoughtful recommendations and make sure I left with exactly what I was looking for. It’s rare to meet someone who’s both efficient and genuinely lovely, but Christine nailed it. She turned a simple shopping trip into a surprisingly pleasant moment - absolute credit to the store!
