I am so disappointed!

I am so disappointed. I went to have blood drawn at Wakefield Superdrug and they told me they didnt do that service when I asked them to fill the vials. I wasted time driving over 60 miles. I arrived and the lady saw I had a finger prick test and refuse to draw my blood saying we dont do this. I was so disappointed. What a mess.

Above and beyond!

Wow. I don't think I've ever been to a pharmacy who have gone so above and beyond. Having struggled to get a medicine for my baby, I was recommended to try Superdrug in Birkenhead town centre by their pharmacy competition next door. Not only did the staff greet me instantly, but they apologised for the wait (it had been a bare minute), and then the pharmacy manager came down herself (I think her name is Eleanor) she was so helpful and nice. She looked up whether she could order it in (she could), let me know when it would be in (likely this afternoon as I explained my baby had been without for days), and took my number so she could update me when the order arrived. It then turned out that another pharmacy had held my prescription on their computers so she asked me to contact them to return it, and then she could download it and process the prescription when the medicine came in. I don't know why that pharmacy still had my prescription as I was there on Monday and they had told me they couldn't order it in, and I tried at least 5 pharmacies since then. Anyway, I tried and tried to call them but their phone was engaged or rang out every time. Then to my surprise, I got a voicemail from Chris in Superdrug pharmacy this afternoon, and when I called back, she told me that the order had arrived and my prescription would be ready in the next 10 minutes. I was surprised as I hadn't managed to get through to the other pharmacy to get my prescription back, but Chris explained that her pharmacy manager had been keeping an eye on it all morning and eventually tried calling them herself, only getting through after repeated tries and had sorted it for me. I couldn't believe that a pharmacy would go that extra mile for a person who walked in on a prayer, imagine how well they must treat their regulars. Well, I won't have to imagine anymore as they have me and the family converted! Eleanor and Chris, life savers, thank you!

Amazing member of staff

I wanted to command a team memer if your company for their outstanding customer service, care, helpfulness & patience.

I had to return an online purchased item due to a chemical reaction I had to it & for some reason it couldn’t be a straightforward refund -however,the Member of staff,ZOHRA L, assistant manager of Superdrugs store in Hayes Lombardy, went above @ beyond to resolve the issue & did it with a smile & pleasure.

It was truly a great experience for me being looked after with such care & thought.
ZOHRA truly is a credit to the company & I wanted to say thank you and for her service to be recognised.

Tara & Yusuf great customer service at Westfield all round. The staff on the shop floor were so positive, helpful and friendly despite it being late on a Thursday evening. My daughter and I left very satisfied and both signed up to be members.

Hopeless

Hopeless.
Ordered valaciclovir. For some reason they don’t deliver the medication anymore, forcing us to travel far from home to get it. Unfortunately the pharmacy didn’t have the medicine. They said they would have it for 16th February. Two weeks later they still didn’t have the full set of medication I ordered and they had to order forty pills.
Online staff said they can’t deliver it.
In Europe we could get medication by 6pm same day when we needed it.
And in the meantime in London I am waiting still for the medication from a pharmacy that doesn’t even answer its phone.
I won’t be using Superdrug again

Too automated/too interested in speed at the expense of detail and nuance to recommend

I would not recommend. I am not sure whether the prescription process has been entirely automated or whether it simply prioritises speed at the expense of all precision and accuracy, but the result is that it's become increasingly difficult if not impossible to get particular prescription medications in a timely manner. The last experience that convinced me to look elsewhere was when I attempted to put in an order for my usual mini-pill and, in doing so, had to answer a questionnaire that asked a series of poorly conceived, overly generalising questions with no room for elaboration that, even as I was answering them as honestly and accurately as possible, I suspected would only be an impediment to getting my prescription in time. Sure enough, because one of the questions had asked whether I take tranexamic acid and because I answered in the affirmative since it is an ingredient in one of my skincare products, my order was eventually cancelled with an explanation about the increased risk of blood clots presented by taking oral contraceptives in combination with tranexamic acid, but no further inquiry to determine whether I actually take oral tranexamic acid, in which case this would be a valid risk assessment, or else topical tranexamic acid applied exclusively to the skin, in which case the substance does not enter the bloodstream in significant enough amounts to present any additional risk.

Even after attempting to follow up myself, it took an age to get anything other than an automated response which did not address any of the clarifications or questions I’d attempted to put forward. I was eventually able to circle back to the physician responsible for the initial cancellation, and, although they thanked me for the clarification, noted they would be open to considering an order for an oral contraceptive, and informed me they had made a note in my chart that I took tranexamic acid topically rather than orally, they also did not acknowledge the faults in the process at all, propose to look into and address these so that poorly conceived questions or else physicians’ own assumptions about their answers did not impede prescription in the future, or even offer to re-process my order rather than have me put it in, along with all my medical information, all over again. Not the absolute worst response, but also far from decent enough not to anticipate issues recurring again and again in the future, if with slight variations as one explores all the different ways in which the pharmacy's questionnaires may be inadequate and their physicians quick to jump to unfounded assumptions.

Terrible

Terrible. I bought a home blood test from them which I found really difficult to use. I couldn't get enough blood to complete the test. They were so unhelpful and just sent AI responses, so now I've paid £50 for a test they didn't even do

Absolute joke of a pharmacy.

Absolute joke of a pharmacy.
Refusal to continue the order of Amlodipine repeat prescription.
I already provide so much details and checks to then payer on redundant checks at the last minute after taking your money is ridiculous
The charges are too high as well so you encouraged me to move, so I should thank you .

Another technology waste of my time

NHS Echo loop

They do not understand what private services are. I asked for a flu antiviral, unlike most people I had a positive flu test. Just to be told that ir did not comply with the NHS guidelines. If anybody in there reads, Private services in principle are an opt out of the NHS as nobody trusts anything that comes from an NHS GP anymore. Mostly because their guidelines are based only upon saving money. In the end I got hold of my private GP service and got the prescription anyway. I believe Superdrug's was trying to sell me a phone call consultation with a Dr, I am glad I did not, as it would have been told no based on guidelines I do not trust, in the first place.

Superdrug melton mowbray

Refused OTC antihistamines/ travel sickness pills. The reason you ask?
Because as a 55 year old woman I am not allowed to buy travel sickness pills for vertigo. They can only be sold for travel sickness.
The moral of this story....lie. Just agree with whatever the 12 year old pharmacy assistant says and never actually divulge why you want a basic over the counter pills.

Or go to another pharmacy and buy them.

Possible online scam - beware

I ordered some antivirals from superdrug online. Ive done this before and its been fine. This time i was asked for my nhs number and to log into the nhs app. Assumed this was a security thing. I had an email 5 days later saying meds delayed and ive never received them. Money was taken by herera ??? And the contact number given just rings out then im told its not recognised. I also bizarely had a text from my gp saying id asked for this medication amd it wasnt available on repeat. I hadnt asked for it from them as i can never get through! Just be careful.

Scam company. Ordered an asthma inhaler - 7 weeks later and still no sign of it. No reply to my emails, no delivery updates - nothing. Can only assume I’ve been scammed by this company.

False Advertising - No communication

Service and delivery is advertised as next day. No such luck, in fact I had to go to a local pharmacy to pick up medication because their tracking page just sat dormant for days after ordering and paying shipping. No reply to emails, I've requested a refund now for undelivered services. Truly awful service, go to your local pharmacy, Superdrug online clearly cannot deliver the service they are advertising online.
