Flight from Siargao to Cebu. Planned departure time was 6:50, now it’s already 10:10 and I’m sitting in the airport. Nothing more to add, just avoid this company.

Flight delayed by 2 hours on the last minute from Siargao to Cebu. Cannot make it in time for connexting flight, so had to purchase another flight ticket from Philippines Airlines on the spot (now double priced).
No offer to take the ticket in charge, neither offer us their own airline connecting flight to make it up...
However, staff tried to find solution for us.

I booked a flight with them, then they changed the time/schedule with a stopover at Clark airport which did not make sense... I was eligible for a refund and over 90 days later (which they say it can take for a refund) still no refund. I have contacted them many times and although they respond all they say is that the refund is still being processed. I asked them where I can complain about this and they never replied to this. This is ridiculous!!! From what I can see a lot of people have the same experience-something needs to be done about this??

That flight was then cancelled, despite other airlines continuing to fly (they said due to weather) no support from staff to find alternative flights - had to buy a new flight with new airline - sadly some people were stranded as they didn’t manage to get one of the spare seats on the other airlines
On the day I was promised a refund in 60-90 days. We all were. None of my friends or myself have received any emails or correspondence about the refund. I’m still waiting 120 days later. Initially I was receiving a holding email saying 60-90 days and now conveniently nothing.
I’m really disappointed about this and the lack of care and accountability

Avoid Sunlight Air at All Costs
Sunlight Air provided the worst experience ever. I booked a flight from Corona to Manila, but a day before, they rerouted it to a different airport and rescheduled it earlier, causing us to miss our connecting flight home. Despite assurances from customer service that I'd receive a refund within 90 days, it's been over 6 months, and I'm still waiting. They keep saying "just one more signature," but it's been going on for 2 months. I strongly advise against booking with Sunlight Air.

Showed up a Clark airport on April 11, 2024 for a 2pm departure to Busuanga (Coron). Flight did not board until after 3 pm. Flight was forced to turn around do to alarms on the aircraft signaling maintenance was required. Landed at Clark and waited an additional 1.5 hours for them to “fix” the problem. We did not land until the night and we missed the first day of our vacation. On my return flight on April 15th from Busuanga to Clark I was informed that there aircraft maintenance being performed at the Airport in Manila. Now I am stuck at the airport with no updates and no idea when I will return to Clark. Not existent customer service outside of airport, no communication, poor training, obviously not maintaining aircraft. This company should have their license to operate removed.
Update: the manager at the desk told me to go to the lounge, there would be an available shuttle to take me to the hotel, I asked if the departure would be immediate. She confirmed. I have been at the lounge now for well over an hour… still nothing… waiting at the airport now for over 3 hours. Manager of the lounge said another shuttle would be here in 15 min. It’s been another 45 min. This company is a joke.
DON'T FLY WITH SUNLIGHT AIR
We will never fly with sunlight air anymore nor will recommend it to our friends and family. Sunlight air has caused massive inconvenience to us. Sunlight air shouldn't be offering too many flight time slots if they can't guarantee that every flight will be leaving on time. They changed their flight times too many times and also even changing flight departure location (Manila to Clarke). We booked a DEPARTURE time at 11am and this was moved to 12pm and instead of departing at Manila it was changed to Clarke. We have to be at the airport between 7am-8am so we can be transported by the shuttle bus to Clarke. Our RETURN flight was also booked at 11am and it was a direct flight. It was changed to 4.40pm and we end up with 1hour stop over at Clarke. The 1hour stop over at Clarke feels like we are in prison we were not allowed to deplane and the crew doesn't even let anyone to stand up and walk inside the plane to stretched our legs. We booked direct to only for travel for 1.5hrs not to end up travelling almost a whole day - it's ridiculous.

If you want to have a cancelled or a delayed (or both) flight but with a cheap price then book it, but if you want to travel without stress and with a sure flight then DONT BOOK A FLIGHT FROM THIS COMPANY!
We had a flight from siargao to Manila as a connection of Manila to Dubai with another company, and they cancelled the flight a few days before and they changed the destination to clark (a city 2 h away from our original destination).
We almost lost the other flight, it’s not worth it.
Good things to say: they offer you a banana chips that are really nice and the fly attendants were nice. They gave us a bus from clark to Manila (2 more hours to our trip in a shared van…)

19 Jan,7.30 flight to Manilla turned into hell,no comunication,flight delayed until 4.40 pm…flyes to clark airport without Saying this….arrived at manila at 8 pm,missed our flight to amsterdam because of this all and resulted in us having to buy new tickets home.
Emailed the the company and have yet to get a replay or anything!

Worst Sunlight Air in the Philippines
Worst Airline Ever in my life… No information given original flight is 5 in the morning and change to 9 in the morning. When reach to the airport it was delayed for hours without information. Never Again!!!! Worst Worst! Yes it’s cheap but not worth it!
NAIA to Clark is a cancellation NOT a change
Booked through Kiwi.com with Sunlight air for NAIA to Busuanga. Our flight was on 27/12 at 10:00am. On 23/12 we found an email that informed us of a “change” in the details from departure from NAIA to departure from Clark. On looking into this this is a change of airport 3 hours away!! That is a cancellation, not a change. No information given as to how to get to an airport 3 hours away, thankfully I know a colleague who is Filipino and from near Clark so he helped me find a coach to take us there. Then when we got on this coach the coach driver knew of a shuttle provided by sunlight air. By this point we didn’t trust sunlight air. So just made our own way. When we got to Clark the flight wasn’t on the departure board! We had to ask the help desk who said they would update it shortly. We left from Clark after all. Would be hesitant to fly with them again.
