Still waiting for a refund 4 months later
I booked a duplicate flight on Sunlight and realized my mistake 1 hour after booking. When I contacted them via email, they confirmed that I would be able to get a refund. After 1 month, nothing. After contacting them again, they said to wait 60-90 business days. DON'T DO THIS. After this time, the period to dispute a transaction with my credit card has passed and I'm solely reliant on Sunlight to issue the refund as promised. I would just issue a chargeback once you have email confirmation of the refund provided.

Dissaster!!!
I strongly advise everyone not to book with this airline. My flight was canceled without giving any reason. I only found out about it while I was waiting at the airport. I was stuck in Coron for six days and then put on a plane whose departure was unclear. In retrospect, I realized I could have been put on a plane much sooner. I received no compensation.
Worst airlines, 100% dishonest
This is the least trustworthy airlines or company that i have ever done business with. They cancelled my flight 2 days before the flight, so I had to buy a new ticket on another airline, of course at a much higher rate. They delayed and delayed and delayed about a refund. Promised they would, but never did. I have many emails with them and they just continued to lie. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE, DISHONEST COMPANY.

The company approved my refund request on March 18, 2025. I have been told the process takes 60/90 days. I am still waiting the reimbursement. I strongly recommend to avoid Sunlight Air.
Inconsiderate Airline
The First flight we went on was good nothing bad happend until when we need to go back to our home they sent a Gmail but we didn’t have The signal in the house of my grandmother so we received the message that they already changed the flight to 9:10 am instead of 11:20 am so we waited in the airport but the speakers weren’t clear enough for us to hear so we didn’t know our flight was cancelled the next flight we are going to ride is 6:00pm then we have to go home to Cavite when we land to Clark so they didn’t even consider that I hope the next time I fly Sunlight air it is not like this

Extremely Disappointing Experience
Booking with Sunlight Air has been nothing but a headache. Our flight was suddenly cancelled, and we were given only two options: reroute (even though it involved a senior citizen—not sure, but they said there will be additional fees for rerouting) or request a refund, which they said would take 3–6 months—for a refund of just ₱1,000 and for a senior citizen, no less.
We opted for the refund, but even after 3 months, we followed up only to be told it's still "under review." There’s no clear communication, no empathy, and certainly no urgency.
This level of service is unacceptable. Think many times before booking with Sunlight Air—especially if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.
Guaranteed delays
Travelling in the Philippines and didn’t bother to look at reviews for the airlines. Our first flight with Sunlight was delayed by 4 hours, second was delayed by one hour and our third flight was delayed again resulting in missing a connecting flight and having to pay double the original cost for another flight. Have had a few more flights with other airlines here and have had no issues. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this airline.
Unreliable Service and No Refund After 3 Months 🚨
Our flight to Coron was cancelled after a full mess of a boarding process, we had already stepped on the plane and were then told the flight was cancelled altogether.
What’s worse? They promised a refund within 30 to 90 days, which is already a lot to ask from passengers who had their plans ruined. But it’s been over 3 months now, and I still haven’t received my refund.
No clear updates. Just generic replies saying it’s been "forwarded to accounts."
Please think twice before booking with Sunlight Air. You might end up with cancelled flights, wasted time, and money you’ll have to chase for months, with no guarantee you’ll even get it back.

Flight company is shocking they re arranged our flight time to 8 hours after the arranged time with the only compensation being a cheap meal from jollibese. This then followed by more delays from the gate being stuck in a boiling hot bus with no communication of what was occurring whilst maintenance appeared to be happening on the plane. Horrible - plain thieving behaviour
First they made us throw away any liquids / sprays in the cabin luggage. Then they canceled the flight while on the runway, we had to get all out of the plane again. They said we would leave 30 mins later but then they canceled anyway.
In the subsequent chaos, we then registered for a refund but instead got a travel voucher a month later through e-mail. (useless to us as we are already back in Europe)
Then we followed-up to get the refund instead but they ignored all mails, phone calls, form submissions, and follow-ups.

Terrible service, impossible to check in luggage during check-in, you arrive directly at the counter, surprise, all your luggage weighs more than 7kgs kilos. So you have to pay fees, you have to pay excess baggage for 3 bags for 40 kilos 3800 pesos. Run away. The worst company in the Philippines

This is not an airline; it’s a total disaster. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and uncooperative. It's hard to believe this airline is still in operation. There are frequent flight delays, outrageous charges for standard luggage weight, and they often leave luggage behind, promising to send it to your location within 24 hours. Unfortunately, these issues seem to be standard in their service. Just avoid at all cost and save yourself in headaches

They delayed our flight 5 times in the course of 7 hours. Whilst we watched 3 maintenance teams “try” to fix the propeller/ engine.
No updates, no food, no water until passengers started to get very very frustrated.
Then cancelled our flight at 12noon after sitting at clark from 2 am with 3 kids and 2 grandparents.
Awful accomodation option “dormatory/ motel”
Been here 13.5hrs and they still have not rebooked any flights!
No management to be seen!
I had to find their staff office to see 10 people sitting there having a great time!

I had a terrible experience with this airline on March 29th. My flight from Manila to Busuanga (scheduled for 14:40) was delayed with no information given at all—not even while standing right in front of the boarding desk. Passengers, including myself, were left confused, wondering what was going on. This was ongoing for 2 hours.
What made things worse was the complete lack of professionalism from the staff. Instead of assisting passengers or providing updates, they were busy on Facebook and Instagram, completely ignoring those of us waiting for answers. This is unacceptable behavior, especially in an industry where customer service is crucial.
A short 45-minute flight ended up being delayed for double that time or more, ruining plans and causing unnecessary frustration. The airline’s response to my complaint was dismissive, stating that compensation isn't guaranteed since I still took the flight. This completely ignores the fact that delays and poor service impact customer experience, trust, and loyalty.
I would not recommend this airline if you value clear communication, reliability, and good customer service. A delay can happen, but how an airline handles it makes all the difference—and in this case, they failed completely.

We recently flew from Manila to Coron (Busuanga) on a propeller plane, and overall, it was a great experience with just a minor inconvenience at the start.
1. Check-in & Boarding – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The check-in process was quick and easy, with no long queues or complications. Boarding was well-organized, and we were taken to the aircraft by bus, as it was parked on the tarmac.
2. In-Flight Experience – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
The plane was clean and well-maintained, and the crew was very friendly and professional. Shortly before departure, we had to wait about 10 minutes inside the aircraft due to missing cargo documents. Unfortunately, during this time, the air conditioning was off, which was a bit uncomfortable. However, once that issue was resolved, everything went smoothly.
3. Punctuality – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Despite the short delay before takeoff, the flight departed and arrived on time, which is always a big plus.
4. Service & Amenities – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A great surprise: free water, coffee, or juice along with a small snack were offered onboard – a nice touch for a short domestic flight! The crew was attentive and welcoming, making the journey even more pleasant.
5. Value for Money – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Considering the smooth experience, punctuality, and onboard service, the flight offered excellent value for money.
Conclusion:
Other than the brief waiting time due to paperwork, the flight was fantastic. The friendly crew, complimentary refreshments, punctuality, and affordability make this a highly recommended option for traveling between Manila and Coron. Would definitely fly with them again!

I was charged P3000 for 18kg because the baggage limit is 10kg. I was never charged at airswift and cebu pacific when I went to palawan. this greedy airline is not worth flying. pls do not book your flight to this airline. You will be broke.
Last minute cancellation at the airport
Had a flight from Manila to Coron with them in early February.
They cancelled the flight and didn't tell anyone until customers arrived to the airport. They then told everyone they "should have received an email", but speaking to others on the flight - nobody did. It's fine to cancel flights, but to not find out until being at the airport isn't OK.
Their next available flight was 4 days later so I ended up just cancelling and booking a flight the next day with a different airline. They've told me a refund will take 180 days.
Last November 16 I purchased tickets…
Last November 16 I purchased tickets for a November 17 Sunlight Air flight from Manila to Cebu, which was cancelled the same day as my purchase due to a typhoon. My refund request was promptly approved. On January 23 I inquired about the status of my refund and received a prompt reply stating that it was still in process. On February 24 (100 days after my purchase) I again inquired about the status of my refund and 2 days later was notified that it was successfully completed and to wait another 1-3 days for the necessary processing. Due to a stronger Philippine peso, I made $1.46 (about 4.3% annualized) from the transaction.
