WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
I used streamlabs to donate to a streamer I liked. Saw that it was charging me by the MONTH when without my consent. Cancelled it at the beginning of the year and forget about it. Look back, and its charging me again. All in all, its charged me about $120 over the course of a year.
Streamlabs runs a scam and plays dumb when called on it!
Got scammed out of more then 200 bucks! Donated to a streamer on twitch ONE FREAKING TIME 3 years back. Chose a gif to play for the occasion. Unfortunately, nothing and no one tells you that you agree to a subscription to "streamlabs pro" when you do that. Just realized that I have been charged 5.99$ a month for the last THREE AND A HALF YEARS! I know I know, kinda my own fault for not checking my paypal activities, but that doesn't excuse that streamlabs tricks you into agreeing to a paid subscription! And when you try to contact customer service, you get stonewalled and ignored and "We understand your frustration."d
This is effectively a scam and needs to be treated as such.

Streamlabs is easy to setup but a disaster to use. I used streamlabs for nearly a year. Frequently, when I start the application to launch my stream, something is wrong. Either it disconnects my webcam, switches my mic to some non-existentent mic, complete cuts out the audio and I have yet to recieve a follow notification correctly; it uses a donkey animation instead of the gifs and sounds that I used. The trouble-shooting is a joke and the only suggestion is "have you looked at our articles?" Obviously I tried. You are better off building your stream using OBS or even Twitch's streamlab beta. Don't waste your time here.
I want to play this game, but it won't let me log.
I am reasonably intelligent, and not an amped up type. gamer, but I have played games since they began.
***(i am not panning the game, I am irritated at the inability to get any tech help. Oddly i may have just done it; but on the day of my review turned in? ok nice, someone was paying attention;)
In my experience, when problems arose, and I or a friend would appeal to tech support, help and understanding would follow. That was pretty much the rule most followed until now..
I have not been able to pass login. The first time I tried, it went right in. I was leaving, so I logged off.
Total issues at that moment; One login, one fail, a quiet machine for an hour, and no ability to re-log in.
I tried everything I know. The auto log said valid, the moment I actually do log in, the login screen goes to one color and the dialogue says wrong login credentials.
So I went and double and triple-checked the login. my numbers were right. They stayed in the box until i clicked to do login. Overall, I tried hours the first two days. Then I tried to find email and phone and continued to try all avenues. NONE allowed my login saying too many attempts even though I tapered off for hours to days. I LOOKED but all was the same pattern. No way into support - yes, i found the links but no one got back to me. I am a member of other online games, and never had such trouble. THIS IS before any validted membership. wow...! So to login, i have to login to get a login? Sounds silly but it is the truth. I showed this pattern to several friends who are advanced players. They said they never saw such a loop.
I followed the rules for pw retrieval, no good. Too many attempts - no way. I tried only about two attempts in approximately any 8 to 12-hour period, maybe three, but i was aware of login issues.
Good but hard to learn
See, this software is AMAZING for streamers! Everything works, everything is smooth. And the chat overlay SAVES MY LIFE!
However... it took me almost a year to get comfortable modifying my scenes and other settings. I had a weaker computer and finding a configuration to optimize the software was almost impossible. It's hard to navigate and remove elements, and even add them at first, but later on, you will learn. This is why i give this a 4/5 instead of a 5/5. Needs to be more user friendly as it can simply just intimidate newer users.
Made Stream Unwatchable, App Is Buggy Mess
Streamlabs ruined my stream for the duration of time that I used it. It is a bloated ungodly program that takes avantage of the open source code for OBS and uses it to create an unwieldly product that looks pretty at first glance but which does a worse job than vanilla OBS itself. With vanilla OBS, my stream is smooth. With Streamlabs, it is laggy and absolutely unwatchable, to the point where I would often just turn my stream off and give up. I wish I had realized earlier that the solution was just to go back to vanilla OBS, use the Streamelements plugin instead, and watch my problems disappear.
Here's my stream with Streamlabs on June 3rd: (They don't allow links on here go to ZalerAvon Twitch stream from June 3rd if you like)
And here it is on June 8th immediately after I stopped using Streamlabs and went back to vanilla OBS with the StreamElements plugin: (see the June 8th stream).
This is actually a stream of the local recording I had made while TRYING to stream initially on June 3rd, so it's literally a direct comparison of the same video content
While I was using Streamlabs OBS, I would constantly experience dropped frames (often in a stream that went on for a couple of hours, 29% of the frames would be dropped) causing my stream to be an ugly laggy mess that I sure know I wouldn't want to watch. Like a fool, I chased the internet company, thinking my upload speeds were the problem, but they were not. It was Streamlabs bloated program running a million processes related to features I wasn't using, and stuttering the entire time.
I had another issue with Streamlabs that was annoying, although not quite as egregious as the constant dropped frames that made streaming impossible. After a certain app update, the "Start Recording" button just stopped working consistently. I would actually have to close Streamlabs and reopen it in order for the Start Recording button to respond again...which of course I couldn't do if I was already streaming. And with my stream being absolute garbage, I was kind of relying on preserving that local recording. I brought this up with Streamlabs tech support, at which pointed me in wacky directions to things I'd already done, like updating the BIOs on my motherboard (how does that relate?). I was going to follow up with them, but I heard so many bad stories about Streamlabs OBS from streamers I networked with that I just decided to get rid of them, and I am 100% happier for doing so. It's really not worth following up with them at this point.
They're also a trash company in general. OBSProject called them out for copying their name and branding and causing mass confusion among users. Lightstream called them out for lifting their marketing copy. They used images of famous streamers like Pokimane in their marketing without the streamers' consent. They have a deluge of customer complaints against them for continuing to charge users after those users have already cancelled (I'll have to watch my bank statements now). It's just not worth even trying them out.

The program is great, support sucks, fraudulent billing
The program is great, the prime sub when used was great. Customer support and charging after you cancel prime is terrible. Paid for a year last year, haven't used it in the last 6 months, no time. So i cancelled the yearly renewal in december. yesterday they charged me 149 bucks for another year, and have ignored my support ticket, my email, my discord requests and my twitter tag.
unfortunately my next step is a chargeback, and when i do that i will go back to the original obs.
I just got charge $149 out of nowhere…
I just got charge $149 out of nowhere stream labs are scam artists don’t touch it
They are slimeballs
They are slimeballs. When you donate to a streamer you get the option to use a GIF that will play when your donation is received. Nobody would ever think that using a GIF on a donation would be a way to sign up for a "PRO" subscription service. Well, that's why it's there. Months later, you see the charges. Look up "streamlabs scam". You will see this has been going on for a long time and a lot of people have got soaked. Should be illegal
Didn’t ask for annual package renewal
Didn’t ask for annual package renewal, they charged me without my consent, I freak out because I was no longer using the service for months. I didn’t recognize the charge in my card, so I block it for safety. Now they say very conveniently that they can’t make a refund! Even one's I realize the charge was made by Streamlabs I contact them only 2 days later as their policies says within 7 days, so very very bad service and support sucks, I feel scammed 149 dollars were stolen from my card just like that, do not recommend it at all!!! There are some other honest companies with a better service!!!

Stealing open source project left and right
Parasitic in nature
Today I learnt that Streamlabs are not the same people who made OBS, they just mimic their brand and I can see that there are many many people who were also fooled by them. Their business is parasitic in nature because they make money by exploiting open source community. What a scam.
Disgusting company that stole OBS and…
Disgusting company that stole OBS and many other ideas/apps. These people have no shame and are a cancer to the scene. No clue how they didn't get called out sooner. The sooner they go out of business, the better.
