Strongly skewed in buyers favour

Buyer was new on platform I have 100% positive feedback on >900 items. Buyer and I exchanged many messages and photos in addition to the ones in the listing, before she bought a dress. When she received it she lied and claimed it was defective and requested a return. Thing is, the seller has to pay for the return, so I end up paying double postage (there and back = $20 out of pocket) because she changed her mind. When buyers abuse the return policy like this, and give the seller NO option to decline the return, we are significantly out of pocket. eBay needs to be more fair to sellers and not just take the buyers side all the time. The sellers are the ones paying all the fees too!

Nightmare with a cheap and nasty…

Nightmare with a cheap and nasty product, since weeks trying to get my refund, I returned the item which cost me $ 38 to return the item with packaging, I been told they can only refund me what I paid? I got 12 $ for the
postage on a PayPal account which I can't access for 21 days, and then they offered me $ 4 to keep the items, which cost me $ 52, what a Joke!!
Never again Ebay, I paid with Credit Card, do not buy when you use a Credit Card, you have to deal with PayPal also a Nightmare, they use excuses that their hands are tight?? Ebay lost the Edge buy your products where they have great customer service and returns are fully covert and you get a full refund , and all other businesses in Australia do that with no questions asked.

Took a while but finally received a new cartridge

following supplier supplied
"tonerstation" a cartridges that did not work and I was told I had to make a 40klm Drive to Post back the failed item before a new one would be sent.. the failed cartridge was probably worth $20 and the trip to town $20 in fuel for a pensioner this is not on... You order a working product it should be tested and working... Very poor business

Pretty reliable

Have got a lot of stuff from here, including quite a few pieces of second hand clothing, and been mostly happy with it. I guess I've been lucky in that even the few times I have had complaints, they have been dealt with well. Or rather, the fact that I sent the complaint off was enough to make the seller give up. But I hate the reminders that they always send to your inbox about stuff that you've already decided that you don't want, let alone can't afford. It doesn't seem to occur to them that maybe people aren't buying truckloads of stuff because either they have decided that they don't want it or they simply don't have the money, neither of which they can change. It is my go to however for many miscellaneous items as well as the second hand clothes.

Lucky they even got one star they deserve 0/5 really 2 items received from eBay $340 worth neither item worked to get last item refunded required a person with server brain damage to buy a $500 printer to print their return shipping label so both items were never refunded and I advise all customers thinking of use eBay don’t not worth the excuses you get or don’t get because of their attitude and policies I have a policy to it’s called my lawyer and consumer affairs and they can be treated as I see they treat their customers. And no I don’t have access to any printer. And why I have to keep spending money on the issue is a joke so I may as well take a piece of eBay. Just from their customers ratings clearly not worth the time as a company. I gave them near a month to deliver from Melbourne to Tasmania I know ridiculous but that’s how long it took to receive device they game me 5 days to come up with $500 for printer to print shipping label and to return item to seller for refund when it took them 3 weeks with 25 days in Melbourne didn’t move to do same postal delivery in reverse yes that makes sense eBay also what my address for item you can’t send a shipping label to me EBAY YOUR JOKE and I see why your ratings are so low value your money do not buy of eBay they give nil warranties against faulty useless items and their excuses a joke. I have bought of many online suppliers and eBay I have found constantly the worst easily by far of the lot. My deal gave great service pity they didn’t have what I need but I will seek replacement from them.

Ebay ripoff

Ebay not meet it's responsibility to deliver what it sells. The delivery is incomplete and if you manage to get through to newaim or ozplazaliving, you will be fobbed off without an excuse. Ebay does not care either

I purchased insecticide which arrived broken and leaking!!…

I purchased professional insecticide which is a highly poisonous and flammable substance from a Sydney ebay seller called novapestdiy who has a very high feedback score and reliable reputation.

The can of aerosol was delivered to me by Fastway couriers in a postage envelope, with no protection or padding and completely unboxed.

When I opened the envelope, to my shock, the spraying mechanism of the can was completely broken and there was spray leaking all over my home.

I had some breathing issues, and ran outside and put it in the garbage.

I have told ebay outright, that that constitutes negligence and the seller is liable for Duty of Care.

Ebay will not give me a refund unless I return the item!!

Seriously concerning, I just hope no one gets seriously injured from this seller in future.

Worst customer service

The worst customer service I've ever seen, blame you for mistakes on their and sellers behalf. No compensation or admittance of any wrongdoing. Customer service also has poor response time and unclear communication.

I am a fan!

I order a lot of things from eBay and am always very impressed by their customer service.

Only reason it is not 5 stars is due to when one listing has multiple products at different pricing. Often the product you want is actually much more expensive than the perceived price. If it is a different price it should be a different listing.

It is a pity that there is no zero rating. Definitely would be on Ebay. Due to covid-19 the product was delayed by the buyer. Ebay is making money for the buyer. After 2 days the buyer received the item. The buyer received the item and the money. Ebay doesn’t solve the problems it makes in conflicts between buyers and sellers. And raises mistrust Pay pal

I recently bought a drop saw blade from a company that was supposed to be Australian. And, they were supposed to be based in Sydney. However, after I paid for the item, I discovered that it was a Chinese company and that my blade would not arrive for over two months. And could be a lot longer with the current backlog on parcel deliveries. Ebay needs to come clean, so that when we order Australian, then it should be Australian, and delivery times would be a lot shorter.

eBay removes negative feedback

I have left greengadgets negative feedback for 2 items and eBay has removed my feedback. I also noticed that other negative feedback gets removed. Green gadgets are dishonest they sell faulty products. eBay is supporting dishonest sellers. I left negative feedback instead of getting a refund because I was not at all happy with the sellers lies. They state that every device is rigorously tested before selling if that was true I would not have received a faulty device. Another device was sold with a battery that did not perform well and did not hold charge for a full day with minimal use iPhone 6. Avoid eBay as the whole feedback system is corrupt as eBay removes most negative feedback.

A good site overall

A good site overall. I find $28 a month very reasonable for a store in which you can list 500 items for free. It's clear that people don't have as much money as they used to. 5 yrs ago a $1 auction start would have 10 people watching, but now you are lucky to get 10 views and one watcher and a $1 sale, so start auctions at a few dollars. They are relisting items up to 8 times for free and they don't charge anything for any start price (I think). eBay chat are the best customer service around by far! PayPal and 10% sale price is ok, but PayPal should charge less
