Permanently banned without any reason given

I created an account a few years ago just to check the availability of some Blu‑ray anime discs. In all that time, I’ve barely logged in — never bought anything, never sold anything, never interacted with anyone on the platform.
When I logged in recently, I was suddenly greeted with a message saying my account — and any future accounts I might create — had been permanently banned.
I contacted customer service to understand what happened. The only explanation I received was that they “suspected unusual activity,” but they refused to give any details because of “internal policy.” No clarification, no questions, no investigation. Just a flat, final decision.
It doesn’t impact me much since I never really used their platform, but the way they treat customers is honestly degrading. Being dismissed without transparency or basic respect is incredibly frustrating. If this is how they handle users, it’s simply not worth anyone’s time.

eBay Is a Joke – No Help, No Accountability

I’m beyond frustrated. I paid for an item, never received it, the seller ignored me, and eBay just stood there doing nothing. What’s the point of having a "buyer protection" policy if you don’t actually protect buyers? It feels like they only care about taking their fees and not about helping real customers. Dealing with this mess was a complete waste of time. Absolutely ridiculous service — I'll think twice before ever using eBay again.

Urgent attention. Scam

A buyer purchased an item from me.
Ebay blocked the money for almost 1 month.
At this point I contacted the buyer telling him that I could only ship the item when Ebay would have unblocked my money.
The buyer decided to cancel the purchase and to ask for a refund.
When I try to refund the buyer, Ebay system tells me that the refund is impossible unless I pay 88 euros out of my own pocket with my credit card.
In all of this, eBay.nl customer service does not answer; I sent them a lot of emails.
Even the buyer tried to contact them without success.
Basically the buyer was robbed: he was left without the item and without money.
By my side, I never will pay to eBay by my own pocket 88€ for an item that I did not sold.
I am very sorry for the buyer.

Be careful, eBay.nl is not serious.

Betaal niet dubbel BTW met ebay.

Beware if you buy in the eu, you have to pay VAT, but that is not at the invoice or send label, so in your own country you pay again VAT. When you ask eBay they say VAT is not on your invoice, so yes you have to pay twice, your problem, we will not help! 😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬
The problem is in the app and in the website, but if you choose eBay.com, you will see the VAT on your invoice, still they will not give the right post label, but you have prove for your country.

Realy bad eBay!
So for the Seller, tell your customers to buy with eBay.com

eBay is bringing in huge changes that…

eBay is bringing in huge changes that…

eBay is bringing in huge changes that will affect both buyers and sellers
From the Daily Mirror Money Editor 12/12/24
eBay will introduce a new buyers fee, along with an update that will see sellers only receive payment once the buyer has confirmed they've received their item
eBay is set to introduce several new changes for millions of users next year - including a new fee for buyers and delaying payments for sellers.

The online selling platform will introduce the new buyers fee next year, although no date has been set yet. This is an extra charge that will be paid by buyers when they purchase an item on eBay - it comes on top of the price of the actual item that they’re buying.

We've asked eBay if the buyer fee will be a fixed charge or a percentage of the sale price and we'll update this article when we get a response. Vinted and Depop have both introduced buyer fees in recent years.

Another major change eBay is introducing, is delaying when private sellers receive payment until the item is confirmed to have been delivered. This means sellers will not get paid until their buyer confirms they have received the item. This will come into force from February 4, 2025.
Finally, private sellers will soon be forced to pay for their postage through eBay. They will have to confirm the size of their parcel through eBay’s “simple delivery managed shipping” system, which is already available for private sellers who list pre-owned clothing.

The expansion of this to other types of listings will happen in early 2025, although no exact date has been confirmed yet. The Sun reports that eBay will start by allowing private sellers to “opt out” of using its method of shipping before making it compulsory.

It comes after eBay removed all selling fees in October. This means sellers keep more of the cash they make through the website, as they no longer pay final value fees, regulatory operating fees, or an insertion fee when they sell on eBay.

The only exception to this new rule is motor sales, as fees will still be in place for the sales of cars, motorcycles and vehicle listings. The site removed selling fees on all fashion items earlier this year. The platform removed selling fees on its German site last year and saw a rise in both sellers and buyers.

eBay says the move will help households as research conducted by the company found that half of British households have unused items in their home worth between £50 and £300. Nearly a quarter are believed to be sitting on items worth over £500.
to be sitting on items worth over £500.

eBay has also introduced a new "eBay balance" feature which, instead of withdrawing their cash into their bank account, it gives sellers the option to use to money they make to shop on eBay, promote their listings, purchase delivery labels or withdraw cash if they want to do so.

Blocked 5 min old account and stole money ?

I would give a zero stars if it could be possible. How it’s legal to be such a fraud nowadays?
I registered on eBay, verified phone number, email etc, made a purchase and after 20 minutes I received an email that eBay blocked my account because of security reasons, (no reason explanation)
So I contacted customer service about the reason of blocking, and about status of my purchase which been made.
No clear response for both questions, just an answer that my account it blocked for forever, made me feel like a criminal😅 what did I do so dangerous to be treated like that… okay, never mind, not like eBay is very famous in modern world. Just a particular important item was on sale only on this platform

So anyway, customer service informed me that my order was cancelled and I can ask for a refund from my bank.
Bank needs some proofs of order cancellation and account suspension
eBay customer service doesn’t give me any documents, or refunds, since my account is blocked for FOREVER.

It’s crazy how in honest country as the Netherlands you can be scammed like that by eBay.nl

I received a faulty item

I received a faulty item. Seller is playing dead so I opened a Paypal claim and eBay refuses to refund me. Sorry but I am not going to send back an item of 60 euros when it costed me 20 euros of custom fees and another 20 euros to send it back. Their CX is useless.

Ebay.nl is a joke

Ebay.nl is a joke!
Talk about worst customer service you can dream of lol

I have a personl account with a 100% rating, having bought many items in the past no problem.

I wanted to start a separate business account to sell my work - which I sell on my website, Etsy, Insta, amazon, bol.com with no problem...

I created an account last, then didn't bother with it. This year I decided to list my items also on Ebay, I try to log in and can't. I try to register through the US website and cant. I contact customer service which tells me my account has been suspended for suspicious activity. First they tell me my information is missing like my name, last name, phone number and email. I ask them how on earth can I open an account without this info... Then a joke of a customer agent replies to telling me it's suspended permanently. I tell them that their customer service is a joke and ask them why exactly? They reply telling me that my other accounts will be blocked also.

Best of luck anyone that has to deal with these low-iq customer agents!

Verification center

I just had a very bad experience with the authentification center of eBay. The expert could not certified the authenticity of my bag. However I did send the bag with original invoice and tags. It is impossible to be in contact with the eBay so called expert. When you contact eBay they don't reply to your query. I am very disappointed as the bag will be now return to me and the bag is genuine!!!!!
I don't know who eBay is recruiting as so called expert but if they can't authentic a real bag with proof..... Pity. to avoid as the seller.....

IF YOU ARE A SELLER THEN DONT EVER TRUST THIS COMPANY

This company is not trustworthy.
If you owe them even 1 euro, they will make your life hell. But if they owe you money, they just ignore you and only respond with an automated robot message.

Last year eBay decided to delete my account just because I logged in on my cell phone one day and on my laptop the next day. That was enough to declare my account as a “threat to eBay”.

Although I think their decision is absolutely stupid, I didn't do anything about it because I didn't have the slightest desire for this "wannabe reputable company" to waste my time any longer.

Therefore I only asked eBay to pay out the €620 for the 2 laptops that I had sold.

But instead of paying me my money, eBay only sent me the message that the money was blocked because my account was blocked and that I would only receive the money when the account was activated.

??? What the hell???

Fist they send me a message that my account is deleted and then they send another message reading that the money they ow me will be paid out after my account is released again.

So they try to tell me, that they will never give me my money back.

I have sent them endless messages and demanded an explanation for these senseless messages. However as already mentioned before they ignored all messages and I get only a standard robot message that they have received my message. After that another robot message reading the account is deleted and I am not allowed to use it ever again.

All this has been going on for more than a month now

They have no phone number you can use to call them and not even an email address to contact them. All they offer you is their robotic message system. (Wow, how serious and trustworthy)

They act like parasites that are only interested in taking as much as they can from you and destroying you.

If you ever decide to sell on their platform, be extremely cautious and never ever trust them. If someone wants to buy something from you then accept cash payment and pick up in person only.

Otherwise, they might do exactly the same to you and just steal your money.

I have already contacted a lawyer and will sue ebay.nl because of fraud. What they do is nothing else

Terrible counterfeit policy

I was sold counterfeit goods. Sent ebay photos comparing authentic versions with the counterfeits. Ebay is refusing to refund the item. I am allowed to return it to the seller but I don't want them to just sell it to another unsuspecting buyer. The items don't fit me (the sizing is off, because they are fake) so I have nothing to otherwise gain by keeping the items. The items cost ~$20 a piece so it's hardly about the money. And if you leave negative reviews for the seller they magically disappear so it looks like they have 100% positive feedback. Really bad customer service and bad attitude towards counterfeits. I do not trust ebay any more.
