Moving over to South Coast Payments was…

Moving over to South Coast Payments was very simple, Daniel initially visited explaining how they operate and worked out the monthly savings which are fairly significant for a small business like mine. The new terminal arrived within a week, Daniel then re visited and set the new payment system up and took care of cancelling our current provider.
Money is paid into my account on the next working day.
South coast payments provide a personal service and have links to contact them if I need to.
Great service!

Brilliant service

Daniel came out of his way to set us up at both of our butchers. Ensured a seamless transition and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

Excellent Service

Really smooth service moving over to South Coast Payments. Daniel was brilliant from start to finish, providing a full demonstration of our new terminal when coming to do the installation, taking care of our PCI and cancelling down our previous provider. As well as making us a nice saving!

Brilliant Service

Saved a considerable amount moving over from World Pay. Dan set our terminal up, cancelled World Pay and took care of our PCI for us ensuring a smooth transition.

Exceptional Service

Had the lovely Jake come out to see me, he made the whole process of everything very smooth. He managed to save me 40% switching from dojo, was a very friendly guy.

So happy with the service provided, will definitely recommend this company.

Avoid this company

Eleanor from South Coast Payments came to see us in December 2024. She did a lot of comparisons and guaranteed a saving of over 40%. Prior to the switchover the company she recommended stopped doing business in our sector, so she placed the business with Trust Payments instead which she assured us was even cheaper than the company she initially wanted to use.
The terminals would (she said) be a little bit more expensive but heyho with all the money we were saving we could afford that.
The system went live in early February and had a few installation and set up problems mainly because the person sent to install the terminals didn’t know what he was doing.
The system was cumbersome from the start- with charges being made on each transaction rather than one bill at the end of the month. The portal is also cumbersome and difficult to use.
The first bill arrived for the terminals – and at 50% higher than our previous payment provider this wasn’t just a bit more expensive.
The February monthly summary arrived in early March and I did a comparison of what the actual charges were with what we would have paid with our previous provider.

We paid more with Trust/South Coast Payments.

I have seen lots of reviews stating that businesses have saved money and wonder if these reviewers have actually done a spreadsheet or are just believing the hype.
I contacted customer services at South Coast on 12 March and was initially ignored by and then fobbed off by Sam, who then told me to contact my account manager – Eleanor.
Eleanor is very good at selling but not so good at following up queries or replying to emails. She has however agreed that some of the charges made were incorrect and assured me they would be refunded. They haven’t been. She referred me back to customer services and when I explained that Sam was unable/unwilling to help she gave me the contact details for the rep at Trust (Daniel). He also does not answer emails. Here we are mid June and the problems have not been resolved.
Some of the overcharges have been amended going forward but the accrued overcharges have not been refunded.

My advice to anyone thinking of using South Coast Payments or Trust Payments is don’t go there.
They really are not interested once you have signed up.

Do not touch them

Do not touch them , their customer service is terrible ,they mis sold a 4 year contract with machines not fit for integrated use on my tills after being told it was, tried cancelling the contract 10 days in which is within the legal cooling off period , but the rep was unreachable and got told by south coast payments it had to go through him. Two weeks later I finally get a phone call back . All avenues to fix the error was made before attempting to hand in my notice. A year later the issue still has not been resolved and I am still recieving charges for card machines they are in possesion of .

Eleanor came to review my rates and…

Eleanor came to review my rates and ended up replacing our whole till system to clover and it's been great. The rates are so much better than barlcays.
She is very professional and I'm extremely satisfied with the whole service.

I signed up with South Coast Payments…

I signed up with South Coast Payments Oct last year. Eleanor was the rep that came to see me. Not only did she save me money but she sorted all of my PCI compliance and went out of her way to come back and install my machine. I couldnt be happier with the service
