Excellent customer service
Not long after the installation of our solar system, for which I gave a 5 star review, for some reason our inverter lost internet connection. Lorraine at Customer Service was most friendly and helpful and promptly sent me an email containing a possible solution to my dilema of restoring the internet connection. This proved effective and I now have full service from my inverter again. I have only had positive experiences with every person at Solargain with whom I have had contact, and I am pleased that I chose this company to guide me on my solar journey.

I recently purchase a place with Solar Panels installed by Solargain.
The call I made is to firstly enquire whether maintenance has been carried out since installed. Lorraine answered my query. Courteous and friendly. As nil maintenance carried since initially installed I went ahead and booked for a health check.
Michael attended I could have not been happier. He was friendly, knowledgible and easy to deal with. Michael was more than happy helped set up online monitoring access all with a smile.

Shocking After Sales Treatment
I had an issue on 22 March called Solargain just after 8am and was informed that staff from the Reconnections Department are the appropriate people to talk to me about the issue and they would call me back.
In the meantime, this Marlene sent me an email with a link that Solargain apparently send to customers, a YouTube video link to show how to reset their monitoring system (which was my issue)
The link to the YouTube video later proved to be providing out of date information that was essentially just a pathway to a dead end so to speak.
So, I ended up being was left waiting for 2 days to have anyone Reconnections Department contact me after the initial call 8am Wednesday 22 March.
And I only managed to speak to a Fiona Reconnections Department on the 24 March after relentless calls and having to manage the automated phone system each and every time.
Laughable that I had to listen to the recorded promotions each time on this system announcing that Solargain will be there with the customer for the 25-year Journey and Solargain is proud of its speedy turnaround with service calls.
It was while talking to Fiona 2 days in that it was realized that the YouTube fix was outdated a snapshot of the relevant app page on my smartphone when compared to the app page on the smartphone in this YouTube video fix that Solargain sent showed different formats on the app and phone.
After it was finally figured out and sorted I told Fiona that I was not happy about the length of time for service and only because I had to keep calling back to talk to the relevant staff and if I could have the contact details of the person their I can voice my concerns about the service turnaround time.
Fiona said she would email me the details of who to contact but she never did, I had to ring yet again Friday 24 March and got the name of a Huia as the person to email so I emailed Huia 25 March but did not hear back.
Tuesday 28 March called Solargain again spoke to Joel who told me he would follow up with Huia to get back to me again no reply.
Thursday 30 March after still no reply from Huia I decided to drive to Solargain’ s supposed Head Office in Milly Court Malaga WA which I can truthfully says bears little resemblance to a Head Office but more like the temp offices set up in an Industrial warehouse.
Which should have any potential customers concerned about the staying potential of this company. I spoke with Joel face to face that day and he assured me he would get Huia to call contact but alas nothing again.
After waiting a while, I then wrote to the CEO Domenic Mecuri 4 April and you should have guessed by now, just the same consist result still no reply.
Though reading between the lines Solargain suggest this is a monitoring issue strictly speaking is not within the Solargain contract of service, Solargain’ s suggestion is that any monitoring issue is more a customer responsibility.
But still after numerous calls, emails, face to face meeting and still no Managers or even the CEO bothers to reply and looking at their supposed Head Office it may explain the shocking aftersales service but doesn’t excuse it.
We paid over 14K for a PV and Battery system which may not be a lot of money to Solargain but was a considerable investment for us.
Actually, the biggest joke was I received an email from Kirsty Solargain 17 April asking for honest feedback on a recent service call…..really really never responded despite sending previous emails etc.
9 May Update: SOLARGAIN responded but unfortunately not to me but to Trustpilot to complain. Yes instead of contacting me directly as all I had ever been asking for in this particular matter. Only to ask Trustpilot to contact me requesting that I delete names so that some of their troublesome staff can not be identified and they even wanted the CEO DETAILS DELETED EVEN THOUGH THE CEO's NAME IS FOR PUBLIC RECORD. No thought of doing the right thing and getting the relevant people to contact me.....
10 May Further Update: Though finally a response but unfortunately not directly to me but again via Trustpilot and really a nothing response with no apology for assurances that managers were going to follow up with me that were never delivered upon but after seeing the Head Office setup with my own eyes not surprised with the treatment of their fully paid customers now they’ve got your money you are the least of their concerns no one should pay 14K for their system to get this BS treatment I should have done more research and honestly if I had seen the Head Office setup before hand that should have given me a good idea of how they would treat their customers …but sadly I didn’t.. so anyway I’ll leave other potential customers this information for their own review and assessment to assist with their decision making about whether to buy in or avoid like the plague…

Received a quote to carry out a full service check on my solar system and then after I made the booking it inexplicably jumped up in price. No reason given.
Then they asked for full payment UP FRONT. I found this unacceptable and rude. I cancelled the appointment.

A difficult decision made much simpler.
The decision to purchase a rooftop solar system was a long time coming, mainly because of the challenge of finding a company that we could trust. My sister, who lives in WA, had solar installed a year or so ago and used Solargain and was delighted with the process, quality of work and the after sales service. Based on that recommendation I contacted Mick Manning at Solargain Melbourne. From the very start I felt that Mick understood the benefits of installing solar and patiently worked through my questions, culminating in the creation of a couple of options. These were fully explained to me, pluses and minuses, and in the end I picked the best one to meet my needs. The process was straightforward, no pressure, no tricks, very professional leaving me with a feeling that I had made the right decision. The system was installed around 4 weeks later by Amin and his team. The installation took just over 5 hours and the highest level of professionalism and safety was employed. Lauren worked tirelessly to help us with the paperwork. The system has been certified and is now working. Already seeing the benefits. Overall a great result and I can recommend Solargain to anyone who is thinking of installing solar.

Masters of their trade
After lots of research I found the iStore to be a very efficient and quality replacement for my solar HWS. Called David @ Solargain and within a week or two their team of installers had installed the system (cleaner than I could imagine) and showed me how it works.
I have used them to install my solar panels, inverter, house battery, hot water system as well as smaller elec work. Always professional.
10/10 Would recommend (and use) this expert company with a LONG term history of success
