I purchased a top and bottom set of night time aligners, and I began my teeth straightening journey January 17th of this year.
First thought? They HURT!
Each time you are ready to go up a step, they HURT all over again.
I went to upload my progress photos but could not work out where to do so, so I stopped taking progress photos. There isn't much follow up help either?
I don't even know if it hurting this much is normal...
Second thought; My teeth now feel very soft, each morning after I take the aligners off, I absolutely cannot bite down on anything, my teeth need to breathe for at least a few hours before I could bite anything, luckily I habitually drink smoothies for breakfast!!
6 months in now, and geuss what?! I can actually SEE a difference!!! Running my tongue over my teeth, they are straighter, my snaggle tooth is getting back in line!!

I am BEYOND stoked to have given these aligners a go!
I'm only knocking a star off because some sort of follow up would have been really helpful. Are they supposed to hurt this much, is it normal for them to feel so soft and tender in the mornings ? I geuss I'll never know...

Amazing customer service & correspondence

I really loved how easily accessible this company was, everything was done through the post and through email. Really suited my busy lifestyle and the response from the team was super quick which made it even better! I'm really happy with my outcome and smile once this was finished. A huge plus for me was that this company was the most affordable on the market and they delivered the best service, one very pleased customer :)

My experience with Smileie has been excellent. The cost was a tenth of the quote from my dentist (that I couldn't afford). The kit is mailed to you and has everything you need and the instructions are clear. The steps to make the impression of my upper teeth were simple to follow. My aligners are always comfortable, there's never any pain. I'm half way through my 30-week alignment journey and my teeth are straightening nicely. I've had no issues so far. I'm very happy. Nicky, my Smileie specialist is super helpful and responds to my emails promptly. All records are stored on an app. I'm so glad I decided to go ahead with using the aligners. Best thing I ever did! Thank you!

Avoid Smileie if you value quality treatment, proper customer service, and professional accountability.

My experience with Smileie has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. What was advertised as a straightforward aligner treatment turned into months of delays, poor communication, contradictory treatment plans, and poorly fitting aligners.

The original aligners fit terribly. I then had to pay extra for a digital scan because the initial treatment was clearly inaccurate. Even after the updated scan, Smileie repeatedly changed the treatment plan with no clear explanation and continuously shifted responsibility back onto me instead of taking ownership of the clinical issues.

At one point, the number of lower aligners was suddenly reduced despite no new scans or clinical information being provided. I spent weeks going back and forth just trying to get them to honour their own previously issued treatment plan. The amount of corporate waffle, scripted responses, and attempts to avoid responsibility was unbelievable.

Customer service was extremely poor throughout the process:

* Long delays between responses
* Constantly repeating the same scripted explanations
* No meaningful follow-up after aligners were delivered
* Repeated attempts to make me “approve” questionable treatment changes
* Attempts to limit their responsibility for treatment outcomes

The aligners themselves have been poor quality and poorly fitting compared to what you would expect from a professional orthodontic service. In my opinion, this is very much a case of “you get what you pay for.”

If you are considering teeth aligners, I strongly recommend spending the extra money and going through a reputable orthodontist instead of risking months of frustration dealing with Smileie.

I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I have tried to reach out for a resolution. I started treatment now over 2 years ago, my teeth have not improved and they refuse to provide a solution or even a refund.

I would recommend you report this company to the below bodies and engage in legal assistance in Queensland.
