Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 51 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers report significant issues with the website and login process, finding it broken and difficult to navigate, often requiring multiple steps and encountering loops when trying to access support or manage accounts. People frequently express dissatisfaction with customer service, describing it as unresponsive, unhelpful, and even disrespectful, with many struggling to get assistance for critical problems like lost data or account access. Reviewers also note problems with the app's performance, including delayed notifications, unstable calls, and a general feeling of clunkiness, especially as teams grow larger. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that the platform is a nice tool for team communication, praising its intuitive interface, organization, and integration capabilities. They appreciate features like channels, huddles, and automation, which help streamline workflows and reduce email volume.

Slack's alright, but it's a bit clunky. Finding specific files is a pain, and the search function isn't great. Overpriced for what it offers, too. Could do with some serious improvements.

$1000 user mistake

Deceptive UI, charged $1000 for a user error which they refuse to refund.

I was using Slack as a free user on a group organized by a company I do not work for. I wanted to see an old message so I upgraded. The fee on the screen said $7 per user. I am the only user I have control over, so I was expecting a $7 charge.

Nope. I upgraded the entire group of 60 people. I got charged $500 a month twice before I noticed the charges. That's on me, but I was expecting a $7 bill.

I am not an administrator of the group and don't work of the company. I cannot think of any legitimate use case where a user who CANNOT CONTROL who is in the group would want to pay for it.

Slack refuses to reverse the charges because the other company used the platform. I hadn't even logged in.

used Slack for work for quite some time, but in the end I stopped using it. At first it was fine for quick messages, but over time it became annoying. Notifications didn’t always come through, messages showed up late, and the app felt slow once there were lots of channels.
Calls were also unreliable. Sometimes the sound dropped, screen sharing didn’t work properly, and we often had to move to another app to finish a call. It just didn’t feel smooth anymore.
If Slack wants to improve, it really needs to focus on the basics. Notifications should work properly, calls should be more stable, and the app should feel lighter when teams get bigger. Fixing these things would make it much easier to use day to day

No support with log in problems

I changed laptop and tried to log in to my Slack account in the new one.

I needed about 4-5 days to be able to log in.
AI support: below zero. E-mail support, delayed, with no specific and organized suggestions.

The problem was that after using my email, password, code that they sent to my email, the code via the authenticator sent to my phone was never coming.
I thought that it was the Google Authenticator (they did not feel the need to let you know that it will be 'there'), but it wasn't. Accidentaly, after about 20 attempts, I received one code via SMS and it worked.

This is not a big and organized company's way to deal with customer service.

Handy but not perfect

Slack makes it easy to keep the team connected. Chats, channels, files, all in one place, much simpler to work. The interface is clear and I got used to it quickly.
But sometimes there are too many notifications, it’s easy to get lost. And if the internet is slow, messages take a while to load.
Overall a good tool, I use it every day for work.

always in touch here

slack is an amazing platform through which I remain in contact with my colleagues .
the platform is fast, I neber had any glitches here over the period of using it.
ANd the pricing I would say is far enough taking into account what features are provided for people.
I like the addition of AI tool into it as well, it does help the process!!🆒

RUN! You don't want to do business with this company!

We are a small commercial company who got conned into signing a contract for the SLACK Platform by the Slack Sales Force Team. We realized this just after signing the contract when the sales team reneged on all that they said they would do. Left us high and dry with no support. Then proceeded to introduce us to an outside party which we would have to pay for what they had promised. The sales team totally misrepresented themselves by making promises they could not or had no intention of keeping just to make a sale. We have sent repeated requests to have this account canceled to no avail. We have not even used this platform from day 1. Anyone interested in doing business with this company - I recommend you RUN as far as possible. DO NOT SIGN any contracts with any future promises to made. Whatever they are promising - RUN - you can't trust one thing they are saying!

SubjectUrgent Complaint – Slack Login & Support Access Completely Broken

Dear Slack Support,
We are paying thousands of dollars per year for Slack, but the product has become almost unusable. The current login and support experience is broken to the point of absurdity.

Problems:

Broken Login Process:
Even when already logged into the desktop app, I am forced to re-login through the browser to manage members or make admin changes.
The browser login requires multiple steps: email code → phantom phone verification (no phone number is associated) → multiple CAPTCHAs. This makes it nearly impossible to log in.
Help Center Loop (No Support Available):
To reach the Help Center, Slack first forces another browser login.

After logging in, instead of getting access to the Help Center, I am redirected back to the app.
To try again, I must hunt for a tiny “Open in browser” link, which just opens Slack again.

The result: I end up back in the same loop. There is literally no working way to reach support or access the Help Center.

Impact on Our Business:
We cannot remove members or manage our team.
We cannot contact support to resolve this because Slack has locked its own Help Center behind a broken login loop.

This is an unacceptable breakdown in functionality and customer service.

Expectations:
We expect Slack to fix this immediately. This situation is not just unprofessional—it demonstrates a company that is focusing on the wrong priorities instead of ensuring the app functions for paying customers. When the basics of login, administration, and support are broken, it signals that the entire product direction and thinking are flawed.

If Slack cannot address this urgently, we will have no choice but to discontinue our subscription and migrate to another platform.

This is not just an inconvenience—it undermines the basic usability of your service.
