I stopped with sky 2 years ago , they continue to charge me , I have tried to call them and online chat but no way of getting through , this is appalling

To get me to take on a new two year…
To get me to take on a new two year contract the Sky rep gave me a small reduction and a promise that my subscription would not rise for two years. Three months later the price went up again - pathetic. I complained that I’d been lied to but to be honest they couldn’t care less. Corporate liars nothing else.
This review should be no stars
This review should be no stars! We are moving house and unfortunately had to cancel moving our TV and broadband to our new address twice. Despite cancelling our broadband was cut off. After numerous phone calls, promises and apologies I completed a complaints form and noticed the address had been changed to our new one. Numerous phone calls later highlighting the issue plus written e mails assuring this would be sorted out we are still without broadband two weeks later. No one at Sky seems to know what to do. Its unbelievable. I cannot believe this is taking so long. We are more than likely moving in two weeks and will have to go through this again! Appalling customer service.
Loyal customer never made to feel it though
I've been with sky for 13 years now the Internet is totally useless its so bad since getting sky wifi max and full fiber its never been this bad ive had engineers out new routers loads of complaints still have the same issues I will never recommend sky to any one if I could give 0 stars I would
Be extremely cautious when accepting…
Be extremely cautious when accepting any “1‑month/3-month free” offer from Sky engineers or customer service. In fact from anyone at SKY unless you are specifically negotiating a new contract.
Sky seems to have reverted to aggressively pushing “free” channel upgrades through all customer‑facing staff. Even engineers visiting your home will tell you you’re eligible for a free upgrade. What they don’t tell you is that verbally accepting anything can result in a brand‑new 24‑month contract with extra services added — without your clear consent.
This has now happened to me twice, and I’ve had to complain twice. Each time Sky dismissed it as a “misunderstanding.” It is absolutely not a misunderstanding — it’s an ongoing, underhanded tactic.
Last night, I called simply because of an internet connection problem. Minutes after hanging up, I received an email confirming that I had supposedly agreed to the following:
Sky Signature – £40.15
24‑month discount: -£5.00
Additional discount: -£20.50
Net price: £14.65
Sky Cinema – £19.00
24‑month discount: -£6.00
Additional discount: -£4.00
Net price: £9.00
At no point did I discuss anything about my Sky package, let alone agree to adding Sky Cinema or changing my plan. The pricing breakdown is deliberately confusing, and most people would have no idea what they’re looking at.
It’s clear staff must be receiving bonuses for signing people up, because every interaction somehow ends with a “new package” being added. I can only imagine how many customers end up paying for services they didn’t knowingly agree to — or don’t even notice for months. Sky must be making enough off those customers to offset the ones who catch on and complain.
This practice needs to stop.
if you want to lose a huge swathe of…
if you want to lose a huge swathe of time and your will to live then try and speak to someone at Sky, and the only way to speak to a person and not get fobbed off is to ask for a department where they think they can make more money out of you. Otherwise there is no chance of getting a human. When you do finally succeed then try and get them to do what they say they are going to do, whilst being passed from pillar to post whilst each department tells you they have done what you asked to before you then get passed to the next department who tell you they didn't make the change the last department said they had. Times this process by 3 and then find out 4 weeks later in your groundhog day that none of it happened and you are having to go through the whole thing again.
so far I have spent over 95 minutes trying to change a part of my subscription
so good luck and buyer be warned - hope you have a lot of patience and time as you are going to need it.
I think 0 stars would be appropriate
I think 0 stars would be appropriate. Decided to join sky on 19th January. Got a better offer from Virgin. Called sky to say i was cancelling. I tracked my box and it was received by them on 27th January. 15th Feb and they are still sending communication asking for bill payment. Clowns are pathetic
Unstable prices
You can 'negotiate' a price with Sky but it never lasts long.
They seem to increase their prices regularly just because they can and with no apparent reason

It is extremly hard to talk to customer service and when you do you are talking to someone very difficult to understand and they cant understand a southwest accent, not a good experience for customers or call center staff.
Virtual Chat - Useless Tried to find about Sky/Netflix deal .
Tried to find about Sky/Netflix deal .
"Virtual Chat" interacted with me.
Totally useless - gave up and will not deal with Sky.
IF you do not invest in training bots then you need a back up . Sadly companies are keen on saving money do not seem to want to bother. All they care about is getting you to sign up.
Upgraded to Sky Glass only to have both the upgrade and existing contract cancelled.
In short, utter appalling. I went from upgrading to Sky Glass to cancelling my contract within a 5 day period. I was a Sky "VIP" customer for 11 years.
Ordered Sky Glass, arranged delivery etc. On the morning it was due to be delivered I got an email saying it had been cancelled. I then went to a local shopping centre to their pop up store thinking I would have more success talking to someone directly- the 2 guys at Silverburn Glasgow couldn't have been less interested. I then had no choice but to phone again, only to be told that my Sky+ contract had been cancelled as well. I didn't cancel anything at this point.
After being told this I made sure everything was cancelled and I won't be back. I will now be using NowTV.
In short, when seeking an upgrade they cancelled my contract.

I’ve been trying to contact sky through…
I’ve been trying to contact sky through their app , their AI drives you crazy and is no help. I’ve emailed but no response and I’ve been on hold for 30 mins when I gave up. It’s a disgrace. I gave notice 2 months before my contract finished but still their trying to bill me.
I returned my equipment to Sky after…
I returned my equipment to Sky after cancelling my subscription - it was posted to the address given and tracked - I have had a message that they will charge my account for the equipment cost since they have not received the returns. The package has been tracked. This is just an unnecessary waste of time and adds undue stress.
Just got the new sky streaming box
Just got the new sky streaming box, I was never informed that it had no recording feature, the box glitches and turns itself off, and the interface in terrible. How on earth sky have brought this to market is a mystery, they will lose thousands of customers; I think they are moving to become an internet provider and have given up on the TV side of the business. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS USELESS PRODUCT.
That said the internet speed is great.
I now need to purchase a recording set top box.
Sky you are absolutely disgusting
Sky you are absolutely disgusting , we cancelled my mums broadband and sky package last April as the costs were rising. We rang them and obviously cancelled it , received a box to return the items hub and TV box . Everything sorted we thought. Until this week I checked my mums bank statements to find Sky have been taking payments from her account since last April. Absolutely shocking over £40 a month and her contact was cancelled. What the hell is wrong with you ! I have tried to ring them and was promised a call back regarding a refund, still nothing . Mum didn't cancel the direct debt herself so this made her vulnerable to them scamming her. The guy I spoke to said ' please madam don't cancel the direct debit yet " We will now be contacting her bank to one cancel the direct debit and two claim for the 7 months money you continued to take . This is theft by your absolutely disgusting company.
Taking Payment for a Service Not Provided – Unacceptable and Unlawful
I am appalled by Sky’s conduct and complete failure to provide a basic service while continuing to take payment. My landline has been faulty since July 2025. Despite Sky being fully aware of this issue, it has still not been resolved after more than six months.
Throughout this period, Sky continued to charge me £18 per month for a landline that has been entirely unusable. I have therefore paid £108 for a service that Sky have failed to deliver. Taking payment for a service that is not provided is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about Sky’s business practices.
I formally requested a refund for the period during which my landline was not working. Sky have refused to refund the money, despite acknowledging the ongoing fault and their inability to fix it. There has been no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue, only delays, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability.
Sky’s behaviour shows a blatant disregard for consumer rights. Customers should not be expected to continue paying for a service that does not function, particularly when the provider is aware of the fault and has failed to remedy it over an extended period of time.
I am escalating this matter further and will be pursuing it through formal complaint channels. I am also sharing my experience publicly so that other customers are fully aware of how Sky treat those who continue to pay for services they fail to provide.
This has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had.
Sky convinced me to upgrade to Full…
Sky convinced me to upgrade to Full Fibre 300 by promising a strong and reliable signal throughout my home. What I actually got was a badly done installation and poor service afterwards.
The external cable was installed extremely low, which is a security issue, and the engineer didn’t even fit the internal box properly. I had to fix part of the installation myself – totally unacceptable.
Since then, my Wi-Fi signal has been very weak. I’ve called Sky at least 10 times. Every time they say “everything looks fine” on their system, but real speed tests in my home clearly show it’s not. Instead of fixing the problem, they keep trying to sell me a more expensive router. That feels misleading, especially when the upgrade was sold on the promise of strong signal already.
Now I’m being pushed to spend my own money on boosters to fix issues caused by Sky’s poor installation and service. That’s not fair.
Very disappointed. This feels like upselling instead of support. I expected much better from Sky.
Poor signal
I previously had Vodafone and everything worked perfectly. After switching to Sky Mobile, the problems started. Even though my phone shows full 4G signal, the internet often doesn’t work properly — websites don’t load, and watching videos on YouTube in the city is almost impossible. The network coverage is extremely poor.
Another serious issue is call quality, especially when I’m in the car. Calls frequently break up, the other person cannot hear me properly, and conversations are constantly interrupted. This happens even in the city centre. When I leave the car, the connection improves slightly, but it’s still unreliable.
I chose Sky Mobile mainly because of the low price, but it turned out to be a big mistake. The company advertises 99% UK coverage, but in my experience this is very misleading.
Before choosing a contract with Sky Mobile, I strongly recommend thinking twice. Unfortunately, I am tied into a contract for another year. I also want to point out that I have two phones on this network, and both have exactly the same issues.
Overall, I am very disappointed with the service and the network quality, especially considering modern standards of mobile communication.
Liars, conmen & shysters
Sky TV are bunch of conmen. Had major problems with TV & broadband last night and spent over 2 hours on the phone. Was then told that because of all the inconvenience that they would “do something for me” and offered me 2yrs Sport free and Cinema for one month free.
My contract ends August but when the email confirmation came in it states that accepting them “doing something for me” meant a new two year contract. Whaaaaaaast😱
No mention of this on the phone (it was on speaker for 2 hours and my wife was listening) so “Doing something for me” is actually a crock of sh*t and in reality Sky are”doing something for themselves” whilst lying to me by omission.
OUTRAGEOUS - I don’t watch sport or cinema anyway, so the whole thing is a con where I end up with a higher bill after the free month of cinema and a new contract I wasn’t even told about.
What a shysters trick trying to give you the impression that they are acting in goodwill when it’s actually a back door sales tactic; no wonder they have a 1 star rating here.
This “deal” will be cancelled today and in August I will be an ex-customer of Sky.
Don't honour price agreed on phone
Sky TV agree a new contract with you on the phone, will not send a confirmation email and proceed to charge you a higher amount than agreed. When you object they promise resolution in 4-6 weeks and nothing happens. When you go to their dispute resolution service an email (which you cannot reply to) comes back within 24 hours saying its all solved and (surprise) nothing happens. You would have thought this would be illegal?
