Extremely Poor Experience – No Phone, No Refund After 20 Days
I paid upfront online for a phone through Sky Mobile, only to have the order cancelled with no explanation. When I called customer service, I was told they didn’t know why the cancellation happened, so I placed the order again – paying the full amount upfront for a second time. Again, the order was cancelled for no clear reason.
It’s now been over 20 days, and I’ve still not received any refund for either transaction. The exact same issue happened with my partner’s account – two upfront payments, two cancelled orders, and no refunds.
We’ve called customer service multiple times, and each time we’ve been promised that the refund is being processed. But nothing has come through. It’s the same story every time, with no resolution.
I’ve since seen that this isn’t an isolated incident – many other users are reporting the same issue with Sky Mobile. I only wish I’d checked Trustpilot reviews before handing over any money.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before ordering through Sky Mobile – especially if you’re expected to pay upfront

Honestly the worst customer service ever, call handlers do not care, issue is a simple one which they cannot resolve, agreed mobile price then continue to charge be double, no contract received fo cancelling now im done! 3 months on and over 25 hours of calls -one call lasted 3.5 hours cried with frustration, have again this evening been cut off after an hour on call. 17 years a customer, no more, bye bye sky, maybe ill get a call after cancelled direct debits! I'll take my money and business to a company who care. - if you look at any trustpilot reviews for other companies, they at least reach out and try to resolve. Not one on here trustpilot from Sky, speaks for itself

Sky mobile is an absolute joke! Our daughter is having trouble with data - she is studying overseas and we were assured that she would have no problems! First mistake was believing them - we have made numerous calls and stayed on the line for ages (Ongoing now for two weeks) - every time it’s someone different going round and round in circles….. Today we got different instructions & after saying they can only deal with the account holder, they now tell us they will take a call from her. We are beyond frustrated & angry now… they have no appreciation of the dangers of her not being able to contact us in the event of something going wrong/accident/illness etc. Don’t go near them, switch to anyone else 😤😤😤😤😤

Sky cancelled two iPhone 17 orders even though stock was available. When I tried to reorder, the site errored and customer service deleted my complaint and request for Subject Access Request. They even wiped the original order records from my account. No phones, no tracking, no accountability.
This isn’t just bad service – it’s a breach of consumer and data rights. Buyers beware.

Worst company ever set up mobile contract and pay upfront all good next day we cancelled your contract no explanation at all .after talking to customer service who don't speak proper English they said nothing no explanation just you will get refunded 10/14 days . shocking

Sky has to be the worst company ever, i have 5 sim packages, i have called up sky on Friday and spend 3/12 hours on call to Nell in India and she was laughing and butting me on hold, i asked for a manager call and didn't receive one, i had to call back up today for my customer number as i am cancelling all my packages to be one the call with an agent for one hour to be told i can't get my customer number and also i won't be getting a manager call back, please avoid this company at all costs awful customer service.
Appalling Customer Support
I rang to cancel my Sky today at 6:04pm today in which I have been with for over 17 years. Not only did I wait for an hour on hold, the lady told me she couldn't cancel my plan after I told her I couldn't afford it anymore. She had the nerve to say "Could you get a family member to pay it" I couldn't believe what I heard. She refused when I asked to speak to a manager and said she was one, in which she clearly wasn't. When she finally said she will put me through to a manager she said I could expect a call in 72 hours!! Will never recommend or come back to Sky again. Appalling support and no empathy.
Sky Ireland Broadband is the worst
Sky Ireland Broadband has been the single worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. After weeks of ongoing broadband issues, I was passed from one department to another with no real help or accountability. Getting a straight answer was near impossible, and every interaction left me more frustrated than before.
In the end, it took an OpenEir engineer to actually resolve the fault, not Sky. The lack of communication, responsibility and basic customer care from Sky was shocking.
It’s a false economy to think you’re saving money by going with the cheapest option when the service and support are this poor. I’ve since switched back to Digiweb, where the difference in professionalism and customer focus was clear from the very first phone call.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Sky Broadband to think twice — the stress simply isn’t worth it. One star because zero isn’t an option. ⭐

Do not go near them . Ultimately pay money then ordered cancelled despite paying upfront. Then have it happen twice. Then complaints department will tell u ring to place order nd promise you then change there mind make an excuse then leave you waiting up to 2 weeks for an answer and still no reply. I've mental health issues which I told them and it's effected me and stressed me out promised me I'd get a call to make my order over the phone then nothing ... won't be changing this review unless I get the item I originally paid for!! Disgusting customer service and Disgusting behaviour from complaints department! Il mention names and talk to a higher member of sky with the names api don't get a reply about my order!
Not getting broadband speeds advertised.
I've been a Sky Broadband customer for a year now, initially I had a 500Mbps line, but recently upgraded to the 1Gbps package.
I've never gotten the speeds that I pay for. Even when plugging a cable directly into the router. When I was on 500, I would get about 400, now and then, but mostly in the 200 range. But, after switching to the 1Gbps I constantly get 90Mbps.
I've been in contact with sales and tech support multiple times now and they keep logging a fault on my account, but it just gets closed and marked as resolved without the problem being resolved.
This is frustrating when you are locked into a contract.
Literally stole my money
Was going to get a phone through Sky mobile, paid a bigger deposit of more than €1000, order got cancelled no one knows why and a week later my money has still not been returned! And when I call they’re just full of excuses, they’re out of their mind if they think I’m going to let them keep one thousand euros for nothing!!!!! Order got cancelled so I should receive an immediate refund simple. Very illegitimate company AVOID.

The worst company ever!!!!!!!!Horrible customer service, took me an hour and fifty minutes to talk to them, I tried to returned Sky TV and was told that it's impossible to do it.TV was delivered 15th September and yesterday was 24th so I still have 14 days for returns. Was connected to a billion different departments and told to hold on another minute!!! An hour and a half later the issue was not solved, had to ring them today and found out that they canceled my service but there is no delivery arrange. It is now but have to wait until 15th October and ring them again in order to get my money back. Scam.Do not recommended

Absolutely incompetent support from Jalin, Delson, Mani and Suman over the past 2 days.
Cant complete a simple request to remove sky sports which is not under contract and also to remove ultra hd which is not under contract.

Would give zero if I could. Day 11 of sky go not working and have been told today that it was never escalated as we were told it was on the 10th of Sept. Told tickets would be cancelled if managers ring back(which they don’t do) and staff are wholly unhelpful on the phones. Was in England recently and phone connected to a network for 2 hours. After that nothing. No calls no data nothing.
Shocking service. Contact them on X but no reply. Emailed them and said I would have an answer soon but nothing. Cant send picture messages. Phone works OK in Ireland but I wouldn't advise anybody to join Sky mobile. Stay away

Unfortunately that's not the case now 3 days trying to get through to Sky Ireland and when I eventually did I was appalled at lack of technical knowledge I knew more than they did .The person kept repeating same two sentences as though they were scripted Not answering questions Eventually after repeated request spoke with a team leader Who was unable to resolve issue Told me he would ring me back within 2 days 5 days later I had same person not team leader ringing me to see if I had a call back Still no call back Avoid if you want good customer service. Customer service is painful
Customer service is painful. On the phone, and was told to reduce my plan it was more expensive. No reason and conflicted to what was being sold online.
Gave up. But at the same time I decided to cancel my free 6 month add skipping as after six months I would be charged for it unless I phoned them. Didn't want to do that again.
