I would not buy one single thing from…

I would not buy one single thing from this business because of their ads! They are insulting and offensive! He stands beside a young fellow and tells him to skip condoms. He makes a man carry a large bag of dog food and steals his dog! He does so many truly offensive things that I Am going to tell my entire family of 8 kids and 16 grand kids and all of Kensington Market and Toronto to avoid SKIP! Disgusting.

I got an order and the man…

I got an order and the man that delivered it shook my pop which then exploded all over my meal, myself and my bed. I showed pictures to the support staff through chat and they refused a refund. Its after midnight and I have to wash my blankets and shower because it went everywhere and also have to order food.
The lady in the chat refused to refund me and then closed the chat after I provided her exactly what she said was required as proof of the incident. I have nothing but problems with there guys. Constantly. This is not customer service this is insane.

Borderline Ableist

They got better at following delivery instructions for a while but had to drop right off again when I, a wheelchair user, was in my upstairs suite alone and needing dinner.

Refused to send the delivery person back to deliver to the correct place since I couldn't go and collect it, and it was a fight to get a full refund since there was no way for my disabled self to get downstairs and get it. They tried to give me a 5$ compensation credit at first for the 'inconvenience' but it's not just an inconvenience - it would be theft if they hadn't eventually given me a refund for food I couldn't get and they wouldn't deliver properly.

Wow, doesn't even deserve a 1. PLEASE DO NOT USE!

After 2 hours of waiting for the order I was told it was delivered?? Certainly not to my house and considering I had to put in the delivery address myself. Was hung up on with the live chat. Then a miracle happened when an agent called me to inform me that my order was several miles away and I wouldn't be receiving it. I inquired about my money back and was told no but they are willing to give me a skip credit for 20.00, hilarious as the non delivered order was 50.27 after their exorbitant charges including 3.00 more for each dish over what the restaurant charges! Now it's 8:30pm and no dinner and no money back so I will now havd to dispute it with my credit card company!

SkipTheDishes TV commercial with Jon Hamm is beyond awful. So rude to innocent people. Is ithis funny? Really? Leaving someone standing there with a heavy bag of dog food while the guy walks away with his cart?? Not acceptable. Don't buy Skip, an American company

Save Yourself the Headache - Order Elsewhere!

SkipTheDishes has been an absolute nightmare to deal with.

I have spent the last hour contacting customer service and have spoken to 3 different customer service representatives (Kelly B., John C., and Evelyn). Two of whom were absolutely unhelpful (Kelly B. and John C.) and neither had an understanding of their own company’s “policies” when it comes to deleting an account.

The last representative, Evelyn, was my saving grace. She not only completed my request to permanently delete my account (a request that was completely ignored by Kelly B. and John C.) but she was kind and courteous. Again, a complete opposite experience with the other two representatives.

Specifically for Kelly B. and John C., it is absolutely unacceptable to completely ignore a customer’s decision to have an account deleted and it is the responsibility of the customer service representatives to help process this request at the customer’s request. Ignoring this request and/or providing automated instructions that are not correct is again, unacceptable. With the help of Evelyn, I was able to delete my account but I never thought it would be an almost 2 hour process to do so.

I was looking to redeem a voucher but after today’s events, I am happy I did not go through with the order. I can’t imagine trusting a company with 1.1/5 stars to be handling my food. I am happy to have my account deleted and will not be using the services of SkipTheDishes ever again.

Worst food delivery service in existence

If I could give this delivery service a zero, the rating would still be too high. We have used skip many times over the years, and they used to be pretty helpful on a busy day, when we didn’t have time to cook.

That has unfortunately not been the norm over the last few years. Being that we had “okay” experiences using them in the past, we chalked it up to a random occurrence when things went wrong, because once in a while, they actually got it right. This would leave us with a false sense of security, so we’d give them another shot, then BAM, the next order would be an absolute disaster again.

How do they screw up? To be honest the list of things they do “right” would be quite a bit shorter for me to articulate, but I digress:

If the order isn’t wrong entirely, it’s delivered cold, tossed on our doorstep like trash, or missing a bunch of items. Sometimes, we even have to go collect our food from one of our neighbours houses, because; “reading is hard”.

Many times, their estimated delivery times are completely off, or just plain fabricated.

When you’re placing the initial order, they’ll display a reasonable duration; eg. 35-40 mins. Then magically, about 30-40 mins later, the delivery estimate will change to something outrageous, like 120+ minutes. Then, they will continue to delay the delivery time, again and again.

I should also clarify, that we live about 10-15 mins (maximum) from virtually any restaurant we order from, and have many, MANY skip drivers in the area, so this is not an “availability” issue.

Many couriers, will wait until they have numerous orders, then deliver meals as if they are Amazon packages, with no regard for the quality of the food, the ridiculous amount of time people are waiting for food (which they paid an exorbitant amount of money for).

When we track our orders, we can literally view the driver making upwards of 5-10 deliveries (which are often in a completely different direction, over various areas of the city). Many of these guys don’t even use insulated bags, so when the food finally arrives, it’s soggy, cold, and usually in a condensation soaked paper bag, that rips the second you try to pick it up.

Skip has ZERO quality standards, ZERO regard for customers, or the restaurants that they are consistently creating issues for. They are putting those establishments in a predicament; tasked with trying to satisfy disgruntled patrons, while maintaining their reputations, after the orders are messed up, delayed for hours, or completely ruined.

I’m actually shocked this company is still in business given the other delivery services that are now available.

This is the last straw for us; we will never use them again, and if you value your sanity, money, or time, you probably shouldn’t either.

Complete bunch of Charlatans …

Couldn’t care less that my order had missing and incorrect items. Wouldn’t even contemplate a refund unless I had ‘Skip Credits’. I will not waste my time with this company again!

Terrible experience with SkipTheDishes.

My order was delivered to the wrong address, and the photo proof clearly showed a completely different house. I reached out to a human advisor who confirmed the mistake—the delivery went to the wrong location. Despite this, SkipTheDishes refused to take full responsibility and only offered me a $21 credit for a $56 order.
What’s most alarming is the company’s complete lack of accountability. They made the error, yet they expect the customer to pay for it. This isn’t just poor service—it’s a failure of basic standards. If a company can’t guarantee accurate delivery or own up to its mistakes, how can customers trust them?
SkipTheDishes needs to do better. Right now, it feels like they’re shifting the cost of their failures onto the people they’re supposed to serve.

I’m sorry to hear your order wasn’t what you’d expected. It appears that Skip has consistently fallen short of your expectations as you’ve had a large number of requests for refunds. Due to this activity, we’re not able to offer any type of reimbursement to your account moving forward.

I got the wrong order and no refund

I receive the wrong order : 1 item instead of 2 items and not even the right item? The automatic system refuse to refund me. Than, I speak to the chat and it took like 1 hour with multiple questions for a simple problem. Then, they refund with Skip Point. So, I couldn't get my money back.

I ordered a wrap from Greek restaurant…

I ordered a wrap from Greek restaurant tonight as I recently discovered them and wanted to treat my husband. I got the Beef Gyro and he got the chicken souvlaki..half way through his wrap he bit into a huge light hair and immediately we both stopped eating our food.

I called Patis the restaurant and they said they will fully refund the order knowing we can’t possibly eat any more now including the salad as hygiene was now an issue. They asked me to contact Skip for full refund.

I did just as I was told asked Skip to call the restaurant and they refused to refund the order!! Who would eat anything after that disgusting find?!?! I even sent a pic to them as instructed. They offered me only dollars back after a $40 order.I wasn’t asking for delivery or tip back just what the restaurant wanted them to give me.
