19:00 on a Thursday no terminals working and no one at the manned desk. Waste of time and a scam in my eyes. Tried the help portal on the app waste of time they just send you generic faq link don’t even try to help. Don’t waste your time!

A really good idea and it did eventually work, but it was hard work.
The app is not great quality, your refund process does not move through the status's in a clean flow. Instead, you think you are done and about to get your refund as all of the steps are green, then you get a notification to say you need to do this and do that and you have to go back a step.
It would be a much easier to understand process if you were not allowed to move to the next step until the previous one is complete with 100% certainty.

First used SkipTax last year. Very helpful piece of kit so it went without saying I would use again this year. Glad this is a thing for us in the UK as it took some of the sting out of the purchases at Disneyland. It might only be little bits from each purchase but it can add up and of course something is better than nothing.

Definitely worth downloading the app and using “SkipTax”to claim back tax. Particularly good if visiting Disney Paris as all their receipts are already SkipTax prepared. In other areas you may have to request this.

A great idea backed up by poor & unreliable technology - spent ages scanning/collating receipts on a recent trip to Disneyland Paris only to find all 4 terminals at the Le Shuttle terminal broken so unable to raise a claim. Will find an alternative provider next time & recommend you do the same.

Didn’t know this was a thing until I saw on Facebook Disneyland Paris group. Easy to upload photos but a bit stressful about leaving tags in items as your child might want to play with toy, so tags removed. Finding machine for barcode not obvious but Eurostar’s staff told us where. Machine not working but customs officer did it for me. However giving 4 stars as the refund came through 12 hrs later.

Impossible to use the app. tried to register and it keeps crashing. It won't upload selfie etc. Just keeps saying "an internet connection issue has occurred". The rest of my stuff online is working fine.

After the first use with help from the retailer it’s a quick and easy process
Scanning in at Eurotunnel or caais ferry port is very easy

The Skiptax app and process was so clear and simple and easy to use. Excellent way to save on the tax on your purchases. We used this for the first time on our trip to Disneyland Paris and every receipt was recorded and accumulated. Well worth doing this as it was so easy and gets a bit of cash back when home. I received the money in my account about 16 hours after scanning the barcode at the airport. Excellent process and I'll definitely be using again

Once I got my account set up on the app it was really easy. Really liked that it showed me where the tax refund locations were in CDG with photos. Will use again in the future. Payment was in less than 24 hours.

So easy and simple to use! We didn't gain a great deal back but still worth doing.

Mostly straight forward had couple of moments where I didn’t know what I was doing but after getting advise from others who have used SkipTax it actually was very easy and straightforward to use I was really impressed

Really easy to use app. Also highlights your mistakes so you don't get in trouble with customs! Loads of tax terminals at Lille and Paris Gare du Nore Eurostar stations and helpful staff too!

I was impressed - very clear instructions, easy to use (I had to re-do my selfie more than once.. only slight annoyance) and fast refund. App could be clearer differences between different method of payment as all says "may occur fees".. but doesn't tell you what the fees are. Strange. I had to contact customer service via chat and got very quick help! Will use again.

Directed to Skiptax by a shop in Cite Europe, Calais. Assistant helped me register and scan all the needed docs. Then when I tried to register the Mastercard used for the purchases to get my refund it was not accepted. Also tried with bank details, again not accepted. Finally used my PayPal account which was accepted and payment went through the next day. Disappointed with the refund rate but guess all companies are much the same. Used Global blue at Auchan and they again helped set it up and had no problems with the same Mastercard. But at least I got some tax refund using both companies.

This tax refund app is by far the best thing to have whilst shopping in Calais (or France in general).
We bought wines from Calais wines and we had the app calc the refund striaght away, we got the money back into the bank winlthin a day or so! It's lovely.
It also works for all house hold goods!
I haven't tried it for clothes.
You'll not be disappointed!
