Good UI and easy to use but shady renewal practice

Good UI and easy to use. However shady renewal practicies. While I understand and accept the auto-renewal policy itself, I believe it would be good practice to send customers a reminder email before the renewal takes place.

After the renewal, I wanted to cancel the subscription for the following year, as I would prefer to have the option to decide myself whether I wish to continue using the service annually.

What particularly concerns me is the fact that, during the cancellation process, I was offered a 33% discount in an attempt to persuade me not to cancel. I find this approach unfair and somewhat offensive, as it suggests that a significantly lower price was available only once I decided to leave.

Contacted customer support (ticket 157350) received a vague response without any options efforts to rectify.

Hi Damjan,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We're glad to hear you found Simply Wall St easy to use, but we're sorry that your renewal and cancellation experience left you feeling disappointed.

We understand your concerns regarding renewal notifications. While subscriptions renew automatically according to the terms agreed to at sign-up, we recognize that some members would appreciate additional reminders before renewal, and we've shared this feedback with our team as we continue improving our member experience.

We also appreciate your comments about the 33% offer presented during cancellation. It's  a random offer, and the intention of this offer is to provide an alternative option for members who may still find value in the platform but are reconsidering their subscription. However, we understand how this could be perceived differently, and your feedback helps us evaluate how we communicate these offers.
We're also sorry that our response to your support ticket did not meet your expectations. We aim to provide clear and helpful support, and it's evident we fell short in this instance.

We'd like the opportunity to make this right. A member of our Customer Success team will reach out to you directly to better understand your concerns and discuss available options, including a refund where appropriate.

Thank you again for sharing your perspective. Feedback like yours plays an important role in helping us improve both our product and our customer experience.

Kind regards,

The Simply Wall St Team

Hi Chris,

Thanks for sharing your feedback.

All our data comes from S&P Global Market Intelligence. Most changes related to a company’s fundamentals, management, prices, past financials, and future estimates are usually updated on an intraday basis. We have provided more information about the timelines for the specific updates here: https://support.simplywall.st/hc/en-us/articles/8881088158991-When-is-your-data-and-stock-prices-get-updated#How-often-is-the-underlying-data-updated

About the companies that are not available, we are largely focused on equities, and so if you're looking for some assets like mutual funds, bonds (and other fixed-income securities), and cryptocurrencies, they are not covered on the platform.

If there are any specific companies you noticed issues with, feel free to message us directly at support@simplywallst.com so we can take a closer look.

What's today anyway

Why is the investment portfolio saying 2025? I was making an adjustment and seen the dates were the right month and day but the year isn't that. Is everyone's like that?

Cannot see any way to load in and off…

Cannot see any way to load in an off market Share/unit price holding.

Response did not address question. Trying to manually load a OFF MARKET unit manually.

I can't edit a holding if I am blocked for adding a UNLISTED mutual unit. You state "Symbol can't be found". How do I load a OFF MARKET mutual fund unit? I am prepared to update it manually.

Hi David,

Sorry for the confusion and for not properly addressing your question earlier.

The Simply Wall St platform is largely focused on equities, so unfortunately, mutual funds, bonds, and other fixed-income securities, as well as cryptocurrencies, are currently not supported on the platform. Because of this, unlisted or off-market mutual fund units can’t be added to portfolios at this time, even as manual holdings.

We understand this can be limiting, especially if you’re willing to track the pricing manually. We’ve added it to our list for the team to review. Although we can’t promise that it will be implemented, we’re always looking for ways to improve, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

It’s very streamlined and useful for screening stocks as long as you are aware of their methodology and limitations. Sometimes data is not available for certain metrics but it tends to be quite rare and for relatively small stocks.

Hi Jonatan,

Thanks for sharing your feedback, and we appreciate your understanding of the methodology and limitations behind the analysis.

Missing metrics can sometimes occur because some metrics rely on specific data being available. This usually happens when a company has no reported financial data available or when its latest financial reports are significantly outdated, leaving us with no reliable data to populate those fields. This tends to be more common with smaller or less liquid stocks.

Thanks again for the feedback and for using the platform. We’ll keep working to improve the experience over time.
