I am very disappointed in simply my dad had a cover with them, a week ago my aunt passed on, my dad send all the necessary documents a few day later they requested a file from the hospital my dad send it.
But now when its time to payout the money there is just a lot of stories. Now these people are calling my dad saying they'll only pay his premium back but not the Lumb sum how does that even work?
We are canceling simply we don't want anything to do with them. This was the worst experience with you guys.

Exposure in funeral cover not taken into consideration. Life and disability cover excluded at R147. I currently have one funeral plan for R20 000 at only R49-50 pm. Suitability and affordability is at risk.
No payout of claims and poor customer experience
I submitted a claim for funeral and life cover for my mother who is a beneficiary on my cousin’s policy on 20/06/2023 and spoke to Nathan Gardiner, I submitted all documentation needed for the funeral claim benefit as advised so that we could be able to bury the deceased, then later on we could then complete and submit the claim for life cover, on the 23rd of June I was then informed that we had to complete all paperwork for funeral and life cover claim. We completed all and sent back ,but then additional paperwork was requested and we completed all medical records and had to pay+\- R700 at the hospital for medical history/ records of the deceased. Submitted the medical history records on 27 July 2023 and couldn’t get hold of Nathan anymore (as he was “ dealing with a personal issue”)and now transferred to a different person Kevin Fortuin by sharnice and had to send him all documentation again and till to date, there is no concrete information about this case or claim other than being told it was sent to the underwriter. Up to date no funeral claim or life cover claim has been paid out. This whole process has been a nightmare ,an emotional and financially draining experience because we are calling the offices almost every day.
