SIMPLER Hair Color Reviews 

So I have been a customer since 2023. I love the product. Just last year though the cans started getting lighter. They are putting less product in and they raised the price at the same time. I emailed my concerns and all they tell me is “check out these reviews and thanks for being honest” I have been using it longer than most reviews… I used to get 4 uses out of a can. Last can I got not a whole 2 uses. Please go back to giving the same amount as original cans… cleverman is a similar product and half the price. I have tried it and you get multiple uses out of it for the half the price. I just prefer this brand but will switch completely if you guys don’t go back to the original amount in the cans.

I am extremely disappointed with this product. After spending $50, I expected the "beard and hair" formula to work as advertised; instead, it dyed my white beard blue. Furthermore, the YouTube tutorials provided were unprofessional and more about the guy talking in his bathroom with no shirt. I would like to request a refund, as the product is ineffective compared to competitors like Just For Men. Now I am stuck with a product that does NOT deliver and took FOREVER to get here.... :(

This is probably the easiest it has ever been to dye your hair. I had always been using an over-the-counter product that required me to oil up my skin to prevent bleeding of the dye. I recently discovered that Simpler doesn't soak into my skin at all so I can use the brush, apply it and wash it out, and it works great. Use simpler if you like to stay young

This hair colour is great!... when it works. I've purchased 3 times and 2 of those I have had problems. First one, the dispense mechanism did not work properly - it dispenses white applicator and the colour at the same time but in this case it was dispensing mainly white applicator with hardly any colour. Simpler kindly replaced it and the 2nd can worked with good colour results. Ordered a 3rd can and have been using for a few weeks thinking the colour looked a little strange but thought I was just seeing things in bright light environments until a friend asked if I changed my hair colour. I noticed that the dark brown dye is actually colouring my hair a lighter shade of brown. Have tried leaving it in for longer but doesn't seem to make a difference. Anyway, I could complain again and get another can but it's a pain, especially as everything is sent from the US so takes time. I would buy another can but if the same problem happens again then not sure I would try again

UPDATE: Simpler kindly refunded me for the order. Staying with their partial coverage for now which seems to have worked better.

If you want to have to re dye your brown hair every 2-3 weeks because your hair starts turning a crazy orange. This is the product for you. They do not offer an ash brown. They want you to have to constantly reuse their product, especially the brown and blind tones. Stay away from find ash tones and solutions from companies more honest about the results.

I’ve used SIMPLER Hair Color for years with no issues, which is why this stands out. My latest order appears to be defective—the product did not dispense or mix properly. It came out in clumpy, stringy strands, with only one component releasing correctly, making it essentially unusable.

What’s more frustrating is the lack of response from customer service. I’ve sent multiple emails over the past 8+ days (with photos), and have received no reply. Given that the company advertises a 60-day satisfaction guarantee and claims to “make it right,” this silence is disappointing—especially for a product at this price point.

At this stage, I’m simply asking for what’s clearly promised: a replacement or a full refund.

I’m happy to update this review if the company responds and resolves the issue, as I’ve had a good experience in the past and would prefer to continue using the product. But right now, the combination of a defective product and no customer support response is concerning.

This product did not work for me. I tried it three times and my beard looks nearly as gray after the application as before (I have before and after photos but this site doesn't seem to allow photo uploads). I've used products from multiple other companies that have worked just fine, so I know it's not me. I appreciate that this company is trying to do things better and I want them to succeed, but I just can't recommend their product.

Husband loving this semi permanent hair color just to add in a little bit of his natural color. Helping him feel his hair matches the age that he feels! He is 60 but this product helps him feel 50! It’s not vanity it’s just a boost to help him feel his best without all the added chemicals, this is a healthier option…Highly recommend!!

Great product! I use it on my beard and it works really well. Be aware, though, it is strong and very fast acting. Set your timer! If I go more than 10 minutes, it’s a little too dark. I use the blond shade and it works great for me.

I order this product but I never got it ! I call the 800 number to find out what happened to my package and the guy told that he didn't know why they didn't ship it to my address but they sure did took my money .I would never buy from this people ever again .

Let me first say Simpler is head and shoulders above all the other hair dye for men! If you’re looking to cover up some of your gray and dye your hair do not go on Amazon trying to save 10 or 12 bucks, spend the cost of a bottle of Simpler and you won’t regret it. The ingredients they use are amazing and they stay away from all those harmful chemicals that you find in all of the other products. For those have tried other products no immediately when you open the bottle to put it on, you can smell the strong chemicals immediately, so you know they’re not good for your hair or your follicles long-term. You don’t get that with this brand, you don’t get any kind of strong chemical smell whatsoever. The ease of use is insane! It’s so easy that you won’t find yourself putting off dying your hair because you know it’s such a long process because careful due to the strong chemical chemicals. Not with Simpler! I’m so glad I gave them a try, I started with the dark brown because that was what my hair was like when I was in my 20s and 30s, but after going to get my haircut and my stylist is asking me why did I dye my hair black, I realized that I picked the wrong color in that as your hair changes in your 40s and 50’s you need to be cognizant and adjust. I’m so happy I went with the medium brown and my stylus was exactly correct. It matches my color pre-hair dye perfectly. I will be a customer for life and I was not paid to do this review, a matter of fact, I only do reviews if the service or product I received was impeccable, so that should tell you.

Best beard dye for sensitive skin!

My husband has very sensitive skin. We’ve tried every other beard dye, and he gets a horrible rash. This is the only dye that doesn’t bother his skin. It looks natural and lasts a good amount of time. Highly recommend.

Extremely satisfied with the results. The quality of the product are awesome. I am a regular customer very pleased with the results 👍

Still haven't heard back from them 12 days later.

I just started using this product and found it easy, quick and I loved the color.

Great product. Love how easy it is to use: no mixing and no fuss. Colour looks natural and lasts. Doesn't stain my skin and a can lasts a really long time. Will not go back to the drugstore brands after trying this.
