Absolutely awful… slow and painful.

It always takes several days for a direct debit payment to show up on the account, which is annoying enough as it is. I made full payment recently to pay out the loan via direct deposit. TWO WEEKS LATER they still haven’t processed the payment. I call up and they say direct deposits take 10 business days to clear, and because they still haven’t processed this very straightforward payment, they’ve taken another fortnightly payment! I will seriously never use Humm again, it is hands down the worst loan company I have ever used.

EDIT: More than 10 business days and still not cleared. TEN BUSINESS DAYS for a direct deposit - unacceptable and completely out of touch with all other finance providers.

All around, not a good experience.

All around, not a good experience.
I had no issues getting my application approved, however when I attempted to make the purchase that the loan was for, I could not get past the payment option, with no error message or anything to explain.
I contacted customer support and they were kind, but fairly unhelpful. After 3 phone calls with them saying they would escalate the issue I finally got a return email stating that all of the account and card options that I had been entering weren't valid, but only for the first transaction, after that they are fine. I had to find a family member with the only card type accepted for the initial transaction.
If you make a lump sum payment to help pay off the loan earlier, it doesn't decrease the loan term (so they still get all of their monthly fees) it will just pay off the next few payments. This then temporarily stops the direct debit, to continue paying off the loan. This defeats the purpose of selecting the flexible pay off loan option when setting up the payment.
Once this loan is paid off, I will never be using Humm again.

I would love to know why my application has to be done in small parts instead of all at once.

I would love to know why my application has to be done in tiny bits over many phone calls.

One time I was called multiple times within a few minutes by different staff, whilst I was uploading the requested documents, which slowed me down even in that instance. It has caused me inconvenience and dragged the process out way too much, I think. I am tired of verifying my identity multiple times a day and being interrupted so frequently. I also am still in the process of an application and have no idea where it will end. It seems to never stop, even after being prompted that I will find the result of my application over SMS. Not once have I received an SMS, and I am still receiving calls frequently.

Their website wont let you make payments

This is a really dodgy service.
I tried quite a while ago to pay my remaining balance but was unable to, so I gave up at that time & didn't bother again until now.

This is months later though & the same issue remains.
It seems that they make it impossible for you to pay off your remaining balance, so they can keep charging you the monthly fee.

I've tried across two different devices & two different connections & I get the same error no matter how many times I try.

I would call the practise deceptive.

It took a while to talk to someone, but they ended up putting through a withdrawal to apparently go through tomorrow and pay my final amount.

They need to fix their website. They get a 2/5 stars because the lady helped me over the phone, it'd be a 1 otherwise.

Worst credit organisation- use…

Worst credit organisation- use literally anyone else! I was assured that a duplicate application which was created in error, wouldn't result in a second credit check only two days after the first. Humm lie about everything. They just say whatever you want to hear on the phone with no regard for the truth.

Customer service is appalling twice

Customer service is appalling.
Cant ever get anyone that knows what their speaking about.???
Rang on behalf of my mother with dementia. Spoke to a girl after waiting 15 minutes for their computer to worked as told by the girl. Mean while my mother was beside me to me permission to speak on her behalf. One simple question asked and NEVER GOT ANSWERED. We want to know how much time was left on the agreement EASY??? This has acquired twice. Fix your customer service, train your staff not to read from a script and don't outsource calls to another countey, if so train them properly and provide them a computer that doesn't need 15 minutes to boot up. Now have to once more not looking forward to that EXPERIENCE!!!!!

Application for a loan would not…

Application for a loan would not proceed past the Bank statement page and kept getting stuck at this point . I had to submit a credit check but not able to complete the application due to a process error. Disappointed

Disgusting

Disgusting! Was turned down for finance for an emergency dental procedure. Was told they were a finance company and my dental emergency wasn’t their problem. Rude customer service. No duty of care or compassion! Avoid!

Tried to create an account

Tried to create an account, after inputting my ID it asked my to put in a different type of ID but had no option for me to do it and basically said it cannot open an account for me for absolutely no reason.

My husband tried to open an account and it declined to offer him even though he has a perfect credit score and decent salary - again, no reason given. It said that he needed to pay up funds first before they can approve which is confusing considering they advertise it as a BUY NOW PAY LATER company, so why do we need to put money in the account first?

Please be aware scheme websites like this.
They always have hidden things
Like with the biggers things on humm they allegedly lend you 5000$ in a snap just for it to actually require a 15% deposit but humm doesn’t seem to mention that when you get the loan
And the 1500 actually just comes out of your bank when you try spend the 5000.
Will not be using humm again nor recommending it to anyone I know 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Really really bad customer service

Really really bad customer service. I was needing help to refund a $6 late fee since this was a mistake- I have enough balance in my account. The shophumm customer rep named Rachel, quoted 3 Legal Acts to me that I possibly breached because I paid off all the outstanding balance changing my mode of payment from bank account to asking my daughter to pay for it using her card because I dont have a credit card. On top of this,I felt like I was misinformed by the shop assistant from the jewllery shop who told me bank account for direct debit is ok to be used for the repayment.
I panicked seeing $8 fixing fee and a late fee, not wanting to accrue more fees- I paid everything that day. All I wanted was a $6 refund for the principle behind it- I had enough money in my account. No use to fight over a miniscule amount of money, it could have been handled differently. No need to remind your customer with Legal Acts governing deleting credit card details and possible breaches. Very unkind and unhelpful. Not reccomending this to anyone at all. Keep the $6 late fee, traumatic experience for me.

If a direct debit attached to a card…

If a direct debit attached to a card fails, maybe the card was maxed etc, then you get an email demanding it is fixed immediately that same day lest it be referred to collections. This allows zero time to actually clear the card. When you log in to Humm to pay it, it is not even visible as your account is locked, so you have to call and waste 10 minutes on the phone for them to unlock your account so you can pay the tiny amount (in my case $160). They make you feel like a criminal and explain why the payment failed and to review the schedule, and in future to login in advance o the failed payment to adjust the schedule etc. Completely overbearing and unnecessary. Not a pleasant service to use.

As far as I am aware thus company is now responsible for QCard in NZ, When I first got my QCard the service was great and I never had a problem, then this entity called "Hummgroup" became involved and since then I have had nothing but issues which are resulting in what was once a convenience becoming a huge PAIN IN THE ASS.
The first time humm group was ever mentioned was the first time ever that I had a problem with an invalid charge - which was one that I pointed out to QCard and even then it was a pending charge which would have only happened if I had attempting to chase it up with the website mentioned - it was a scam and I wasn't dumb enough to fall for it. Since then humm group it seems has been all over my card and I have had more and more "invalid transactions" many of which were not invalid but were blocked by them anyway.
Humm group have become a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS, it seems that whenever there is a 6 month interest free period I could take part it Im getting invalid charges appear on my card resulting in me not being able to partake in those interest free periods. What is the point of having the card if I cant use it?? Then when I receive a replacement card and activate it according to the instructions - its still not bloody activated and I end up having to call them, wait 1/2 and hour to be told they have to send an email through to a higher group to get the block on the card removed... what the actual hell, is their company so backwards that they cant even get this simple task right - again inconveniencing the customer.
If this keeps up I will cancel my card as its not worth what I am paying for the "privilege" of owning it, I want to be able to spend money with it - NOT use it to apply thermal paste to computer CPUs with which seems to be its most applicable use as of now.

I can't log into my account after my 1st payment went out of my account, tried for 5.5hrs to speak to someone & the woman was useless.
I still am unable to get into my account, I just want to pay out my account & close it down.

The online help is an absolute joke, you never get a response from anyone.

Changed my mobile number and trying to…

Changed my mobile number and trying to buy something called up to change my mobile number so I can login. And they are absolutely useless can't even get into my account. So my account is dead with my details I can't even remove my details there system. I don't want such a bad company having my banking details and I'm unable to remove anything because they can't assist me to get into my own account. Obviously don't want business. Hope they go broke.

The product works well the customer service is rubbish. Chat bots that regurgitate the same spiel and customer service staff that don’t address your concerns that ring and leave unintelligible messages and inconvenient times.

What is Customer Service?

The Humm product is essentially great, however their payment system, customer service and collections staff are abysmal.

Every fortnight my direct debit fails and I am instantly charged a late fee despite my account having more than sufficient funds. Multiple payments are made from this account yet Humm is the one that never works.
When discussing this with the Humm Collections Team and Customer Service, I am continually told this is a bank issue yet my bank insists that it is a problem at Humms end.
Humm have zero interest in assisting with this based on the interactions I have had.

Helpful product with VERY unhelpful staff.
Avoid if you have other options.

I felt compelled to jump on and leave a…

I felt compelled to jump on and leave a positive review of the service I received from Humm after being a customer for years now.
After experiencing financial difficulties that included losing my job and struggling to pay the essentials let alone an out of hand mortgage and other debits incurred.
Without going into specifics, Humm went well beyond my expectations in terms of easing my financial burdon that went on longer than I hoped it would.
I was proud today to get in touch and respectfully decline the extend of another instance of support as I have been able to gain employment in my chosen field, with everything showing signs of being better than ever!
