I agree with the other customers

I agree with the other customers, it is outrageous that you are not warned at checkout about custom duties. Internet is a global world, prices are in Euros, I never even looked where it was shipped from! DISCRACEFUL! I made a big order and therefore, for 7 panties, I had to pay 42 Euros custom charge!

I ordered some Thinx for my wife and I…

I ordered some Thinx for my wife and I and when I got home from work today I had a note from UPS saying I had £86 to pay. This is so upsetting. We had no notification from of added charges, I've ordered from Victorias Secret US & never had these charges, why Thinx?

Customs charge

Don’t buy from the Thinx website if delivering to the UK, had to pay a customs charge and wasn’t warned at checkout. Will not be buying again.

Disgraceful practice of charging custom duties ex post

How is it that a supposedly respectable company can get away with selling you a product, giving you a shipping cost of USD11 and then landing you with a customs bill of £15.89 - which as it turns out they knew all along about?

I have just found out about this through a card from the post office demanding payment, which for me came completely out of the blue. However when i looked at the thinx website, after some digging around in one of the darkest corners, i found this: "International customers: Unfortunately, our prices don’t include local taxes, duties, brokerage fees, and VATs, all the stuff you may be charged to receive your shipment at home. Make sure you consider all fees, because once your order arrives you’ll be required to pay all additional charges — and we won’t be able to refund you if you change your mind!"

How about pointing this out at check out, BEFORE A CUSTOMER PAYS, RATHER THAN OVER A MONTH LATER????

THIS IS REALLY NOT ON, however good your product may be, and i will never be buying from you again

Great undies

Great undies! I bought 3 undies that are 2 tampons worth, and they do what they say. No leaks. My period is medium heavy.
The service is good, I asked by email which undies were best for a slim person with a curvy, soft butt.. and they replied quickly suggesting 2 types.
I have to say the shorts are a bit annoying for me on my thighs, blocking the circulation a little bit. But this is just me.. a lot of underwear annoys me.
After use, they are easy to rinse and then put in the washingmachine.
Last thing: I live in Italy and therefore I had to pay 20 euros on top of the shipping costs, when the package arrived.. because of the trading taxes. So I will probably buy from another brand in Europe next time.

Comfortable, cute, and mostly effective

These are comfortable & cute and do not at all feel like a diaper (which pads totally do). I will say that as someone who recently got a copper IUD, these aren't reliable in terms of catching all of my flow (I've had nightly leaks), but I have 7 different pairs, and I love wearing them in addition to a menstrual cup, and by themselves on spotting days. It's just peace of mind, and the high waisted ones are so dang adorable. I love wearing them around the house.

Amazing product!

Love these products so far, so much better than pads and they really worked well and felt comfortable. Had to pay import taxes to Sweden on one of my orders but Thinx made it very clear when ordering that that could happen so no big deal. Amazing customer support as well.

Great product, but don’t buy direct from Thinx website when buying from UK

So as many others have said I was surprised by a whopping £20 unexpected customs fee from Royal Mail (on top of the international postage I’d paid on the website) before I could even receive the package. However when I complained they did give me a speedy refund for the £20 ‘as a one off’ (they must have to do this so much??) Thinx seriously need to sort this out as it leaves a bad taste (I considered returning for a full refund before I’d even seen the product) and I could have VERY easily just bought the same product from UK vendors of thinx (Selfridges, ASOS and John Lewis all sell for the same price without the customs fee).

As for the product itself, I bought a classic hiphugger and a super hiphugger and I can’t fault them. So comfortable, discreet and they really work despite a heavy flow (on heaviest days I use as a back up to a cup but towards end of period just use the pants). I LOVE these pants. So comfy and liberating!

So my advice is- if you’re thinking of buying from the uk, go for it- just buy from Selfridges, John Lewis or ASOS instead of direct from the website!

Great initiative but don't buy if based in the UK

Disappointed to be hit with a Customs and Royal Mail handling fee adding another £20 onto these already pretty pricey pants! Wish Thinx made this known to customers outside of the USA at the time of purchase, not just hidden in their FAQs. I would have looked elsewhere and supported companies that do the same thing local to the UK and had much more affordable pants.

Not worth paying that price, doesn't live up to expectation.

1 star for superb marketing and strategy, 1 star for actually delivering the products.

Bought the saver set, the size recommended was comfortable. But they aren't practical to be worn the whole day. Imagine if you are out, would you be bringing an extra pair of Thinx and keep the one filled with your period back in your bag? I personally don't find it a comfortable idea. Surely it could be a backup and worn with other sanitary products. But doesn't that defeats the whole purpose of investing in such an expensive piece of underwear?

After the first wear while having period, Thinx do start to smell despite the immediate wash (just didn't like the idea of having body fluids left in the laundry basket). After repeated handwash, the smell of blood doesn't go off completely. Would strongly recommend to wash them as soon as possible, another point of why it's not practical to wear them when you're out.

I was aware there would be tax incurred, but I certainly did not expect the tax that comes after to be a whopping 1/3 of the amount paid to purchase the product (that is inclusive of the shipping charges that too was quite hefty).

Surely the tax and shipping charges were out of their hands, but the quality of the product was disappointing considering the price the charged. It could serve as a backup, but a really expensive one.

I love thinx

I love thinx! they live up to their ethics and what they say they stand for. I Always enjoyed the contact with their customer service. As many others were stating on here I too had to pay 20 euros custom fees after shipping which is quite a lot, but that isn't in the hands of the company as they clearly state on their website. As I read the reviews on here the bad ones are mainly just due to bad or incomplete research before buying thinx' products. So I'd say do your research before buying, as you should with any other product. for me they work wonders and are very comfortable, i have a heavy flow and they have saved my life so many times! loads of love and kudos to this brand

False Information

If I could give no stars I would. I placed my order at 9:37 on Friday morning. Due to my cycle starting I wanted to get these ASAP to try. Finding what I needed and adding the items were find it’s when I got to shipping thats the issue. When I went to shipping there was an option for next day Saturday shipping at an extra fee of 25$ as long as orders were placed before 1pm and I placed my order at 9:37am since my cycle already started I was extremely excited that they offered that option so I went ahead and paid the extra 25$. I continued to check all day for any updates on my package with no hope. It is now Saturday morning and of course customer service is closed and I send a email inquiring about my package. I am then told it takes 1-2 business days to process orders for standard shipping. I paid for next day Saturday shipping not standard shipping. So now I am out of 25$, have to try and find another product for my cycle since I am currently on, and have to wait until Monday for any of this to get resolved. Really was looking forward to this product, by the time I get it my cycle will be off, strongly considering cancelling whole order. Extremely annoyed and frustrating experience.

Bad quality ! Panties leak after being used 2 years

I bought 4 Thinx panties in January 2017. Firstly, I was very satisfied with them but I used them only during the night (the absorption is not enough sufficient for the day). After 3 years of utilisation, all my Think panties are not blood-proof anymore !!! The average life time of period underwear is normally 5 years with proper care (hand washing...)

I ask the customers service and this is their reply : “our undies lasts up to 2 years!”

These panties are expensive and they last only 2 YEARS ! The company didn’t mention this information on the website. I am very disappointed and I will not buy again from this brand.

Fortunately, now in 2020, there is lot of new sellers with better-quality (which last 5 years ! for period underwears.

My advice : before buying from Thinx, revise your different options and put your money in better products.

Love them but need a small change

Thinx products are great, comfortable and work perfectly. The only reason I'm not 100% satisfied is I REALLY wish the absorbant area went further up in the front part. To someone who often sleeps on their belly, having a larger absorbant area would mean I could wear Thinx underwear during heavy-flow nights as well; at the moment I really can't, not without bleeding on my bed linen.
