Customer service is appalling

Customer service is appalling they use a rubbish delivery company who just leave parcels on the floor outside the front door and they count this as delivered. Getting past the chatbot is virtually impossible. Temu on the other hand reviewed delivery photo and refunded straight away. Unless you are home all day avoid like the plague.

Thinking of trying Shein, honest answers.

If your new to Shein like I was last week.
Fantastic choice, lovely designs, sizing bit of a mixed bag delivery quick and so far reliable kept informed all the way. But as I thought horrible fabrics, all polyester which is unwearable for me as just makes you sweat. I was hoping some pieces would be visvose but unfortunately all just plastic polyester.
Shame There were loads of pieces I liked at ridiculously low prices. But will not be ordering anymore.

Robbed

I returned all 9 items only tried on 2 however 1 of the items which was not even tried on shein have said partial refund because of a smell?? Not only is this a lie but why was this dress singled out and was intact!

Trying to get through to shein is a no go so be careful!

Order number GSO178467000E03 they are lieing and is not acceptable.

I have never experienced this before with no company so please all be careful.

I will be contacting my bank as a refund of £1.60 is not acceptable for a £16.99 dress which never even touched my skin

Lost Package, Refund Refused, Never Again

Shein shipped my package with Evri, but Evri's delivery driver delivered it to an unknown mystery address. They even took a photo of my package stuffed into a letterbox on a front door that is completely different to mine. The package could not be located by Evri or myself, but Shein didn't care and considered the order delivered. Despite the evidence of my incident claim with Evri, Shein refused to refund. I didn't get the items I ordered from Shein and still had to pay the full cost of the order. I will never order from Shein again ever, nor will I ever buy from sellers who ship with Evri.

My wife bought several cardigans and…

My wife bought several cardigans and jumpers for winter receiving eventually week or so later and frankly was disappointed with the very poor quality compared to the pictures on the Internet. She will NOT be ordering again.

Refuse to refund me

Awful. I ordered over £75 of stuff I kept getting notifications saying they couldn’t deliver due to abnormal delivery and when I asked at customer service I just kept getting told to wait. when the items were late I did a claim with my bank to get my money bak but unfortunately then the junk from SHEIN arrived so the claim was closed in March!!! I sent some of the items bak that I didn’t like and they received them but refuse to refund me because they say the dispute is ongoing since March. I have chased up my bank and sent them proof that the dispute was closed in March and they still refuse to refund me Customer service are awful

Replying to your unhelpful comments obviously I have reached out to ur team for help numerous times. Im in constant chat with you on Facebook and u keep saying the same thing. You won’t refund my money so I’m not gonna waste my time. I sent u proof from my bank and u still won’t refund me!trading standards are now aware

Well after being a valid customer always spending I will not no more. A package was delivered to another address not mine. Now with holding my refund. Chat on shien is useless after several chats. Be warned

False claims/bad customer service

What a surprise, another generic response from shein, same as that to other people complaints. And yet again they say they have sent an email as want to help resolve and no email received, clearly just trying to make themselves look better on trustpilot to others. I would advise anyone sending goods back to take a picture and state damaged/used to ensure refunds even if not actually damaged and if they query just keep repeating that in line with their policy goods should be in good order not damaged/used. Over and over again.

Shein replied on here to a previous review (see below) that they would email me and look into my complaint but, I never heard from them, they did ask for some additional info through trustpilot but again never heard back.

Previous review: Returned several swimming costumes to shein, and because hygiene strip had become folded in packaging on all of them, as they are cheap and dont stick well, they took photos and claimed damaged/used, and you hit a brick wall when challenging, they just repeat themselves over and over and again and ask for your photo evidence. Which as returning undamaged/un used goods why would I have taken photos,

I would have given a 0 rating if I could.
I purchased the first items from SHEIN for £85.50 and returned them within the retailer's 30-day return period. The return tracking confirms that the parcel was delivered to SHEIN's warehouse. In addition, SHEIN's own tracking system shows that the quality check has been completed. Despite this evidence and multiple contacts with customer support, my refund has still not been processed.
SHEIN continues to send the same generic AI response stating that the return has not been registered in their warehouse. This contradicts the information shown in their own tracking system. I have provided all the evidence requested, including tracking information showing successful delivery and the return status from SHEIN's website, but I have not received any meaningful investigation, satisfactory response, or explanation. No one at SHEIN has been willing to provide a proper answer or resolve the issue.
I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly with the merchant, but the issue remains unresolved, and the refund is still outstanding.

Refund Outstanding: £85.50

Please avoid this seller. There are plenty of better alternatives that offer much better customer service and take responsibility when problems occur. I would not recommend SHEIN to anyone.

You get what you pay for with SHEIN and…

You get what you pay for with SHEIN and I always feel guilty when purchasing from them given their reputation for exploiting workers in the global south and their detrimental impact on the environment. I am strongly considering that I will never buy from them again despite the good qualities that I see them having, like the reviews system and nice items they have.

Ordered and it came very bad quality and I send it back , they said they can’t refund cause didn’t pass quality control .
Other item , they said it didn’t match item .
They send you without they do their quality or hygiene control and they keep the item and sell it to someone else and charge everyone for it .
Quality is like Poundland shop quality .
Never ever ever again !
Primark is even at least it is not a scam style

Beware of this scam

Beware of this scam. Shein will sometimes send out items that have obviously been previously returned and are in poor condition and sent in a bag with the wrong label on. If you return them the will only refund 50% of the value and blame you for the poor condition of the item even though they sent it like that.
Their customer service will refuse to do anything about it because it is basically a way for them to grab back money to offset cheap prices

The quality is appalling

The quality is appalling, so much so, if you got it for free, you would still feel robbed. The item descriptions aren't misleading, they are flat out dishonest and devolved from reality.

When your order eventually arrives, with nothing resembling what you ordered, they charge you for the privilege of sending it back. Please don't waste your time.

Refund Refused, Item Kept, and Serious Hygiene Concerns About Returned Swimwear


I ordered six swimsuits from Shein (two sizes in each of three styles). Four of the six arrived without hygiene strips, which is unacceptable for intimate clothing. I reported two immediately and was refunded. When, during a Live Chat complaint, I later discovered another two missing strips, I logged that. I returned one of these two — and Shein refused a refund AND kept the swimsuit, claiming the hygiene strip was “missing”. It was missing because it never arrived with one!!! And I had noted that during my lengthy initial complaint.
This is not just poor service — it’s unfair commercial practice.
Refusing a refund while also keeping the returned item is completely unacceptable.

But the bigger issue is this:

Shein treats the hygiene strip as proof that a swimsuit is “new”, when in reality it proves nothing.

A hygiene strip is:

• not sterile
• not antibacterial
• not a medical barrier

If a previous customer tries on a swimsuit without underwear (and many do), the strip can carry bodily fluids, bacteria, and secretions. Shein then inspects the strip, repackages the swimsuit, and resells it as “new”.

So the next customer who keeps the strip on “just in case” she needs to return the swimsuit may actually be exposing herself to contamination from previous wearers. The strip gives a false sense of hygiene and is being used by Shein as justification to resell returned goods.

The fact that Shein is so aggressive about refusing refunds unless the strip is intact strongly suggests that returned swimwear is being resold.

I eventually won my dispute, but only after a long battle. Many other women are reporting the same issue — missing strips, damaged strips, or strips slightly out of place being used as excuses to deny refunds.

This is a systemic problem, not a one‑off mistake.

I will not be buying swimwear from Shein again, and I strongly urge others to be cautious. Their hygiene‑strip policy is misleading, their refund practices are unfair, and their handling of intimate clothing raises serious concerns.

Shocking scammers

Shocking scammers – avoid at all costs!

Ironically, I have simply copied feedback from two days ago below, as my experience is exactly the same. Clearly a complete scam! Customer support is no use.

I returned my items (bikinis) all with the hygienic labels fully attached, only to be told they were “missing” and that my refund would be refused. Conveniently, photos were then provided showing the items without the labels. It certainly appears that the labels were removed after receipt to create an excuse to deny my refund.

Those photos prove absolutely nothing. There are no labels visible, no product reference numbers, and no evidence whatsoever that the items photographed were actually the items I returned.

This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Customers return items in good faith, only to be met with accusations and excuses designed to avoid issuing refunds.

I wish I had read the reviews before placing an order. I will never shop with SHEIN again and strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing. There are plenty of UK retailers that offer honest customer service and respect their customers’ rights.

Disgraceful behaviour from a company of this size.
