**Update: They refunded me $170 out of $1600 as a "resolution"**
Do Not Use this Company!! I booked with them to transport from San Diego to MS. They initially contracted me at $1150 and then did a bait and switch and charged me $1600 once the driver was assigned. My son was done with his internship in CA and ready to return to college so I paid the higher price. Then when it came time to deliver the vehicle to MS, they claimed they could not deliver it to the address because there was no where to turn around when another transport company picked the vehicle up from the exact same location - he just drove around the block to get back to the highway. Driver was rude and hung up on me several times, not to mention he could not speak good English!

I was originally scheduled for an Aug 11-13, 2025 pick up. But a driver was assigned and was immediately available for my desired date (8/9/25) of transport. The dispatcher was in touch with me regarding any changes of pick up or driver assignment. The driver himself was timely and peofessional. It was a great experience.

Great experience from initial contact until final delivery. Price quoted was accurate, timely pickup, and timely delivery. Digital interaction was excellent and the customer service was also very accommodating. I had tried brokers before and besieged with calls, etc. and the SGT experience was exactly opposite. If you need a vehicle moved this is the service to use!

GUARANTEED means NOTHING
Received a shipping quote from SGT. They were actually the highest quote of all the companies that I looked into. Multiple agents reached out via text from SGT. I visited their website and liked what I saw. Really positive reviews overall and a well laid out website.
I then received a text from SGT telling me that they would match or beat any of the quotes that I had received from competitors- Guaranteed!
I thought I would call them and put this to the test.
Not only did they not price match any of the other quotes that I had received, but the agent just badmouthed every other company. I couldn't believe how poor the service was. I mentioned the text that they had just sent me, which guaranteed they would beat or match ANY quote that I had received, and the agent just said they don't match quotes.
So I'll take my business elsewhere. Beautiful website, but your agent ruined this experience
*** Of course your follow up mentions your “price match promise” policy but that’s not in the text message that you guys sent me. If I could upload a photo, I would have put this in my review.

Just shipped a car from San Diego to…
Just shipped a car from San Diego to NJ. Horrible experience with their communication. Both pick up and delivery times were not what were agreed upon. At pickup they extorted $200 for extra weight just by the driver looking at what was loaded. I used Montway to ship car to San Diego and wished I would have used them again as I had no such issues with them. SGT cannot be trusted

"Yes, you can have up to 100 lbs in the trunk/cargo area of the vehicle. Items must be contained to a single box or suitcase. However, if you'd like to load more personal items, you will need to provide the estimated weight of the items and we will provide you with an all-inclusive price. Both front seats and the front seat floorboards must remain empty and free of any personal items to avoid damage during transportation. The backseat must also remain empty unless you've received an all-inclusive rate for items to be placed there."
At the time of booking, you confirmed the inclusion of no more than 100 lbs of personal belongings, which is complimentary and covered under our standard transport terms. However, when the carrier arrived, it was immediately clear that the actual contents exceeded this limit—both in weight and volume. Items were visibly stored in the front seats, back seats, and trunk, all of which are not permitted without prior agreement and payment for an all-inclusive rate.
This is not unique to SGT Auto Transport—this is industry standard. The carriers we work with are federally licensed to transport vehicles, not household goods. Overloading a vehicle with personal belongings poses safety risks, can violate Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and potentially void carrier insurance coverage. That’s why additional fees are required when the load exceeds what was disclosed.
We want to stress that we are not here to assign blame—we are here to help. Our goal is not simply to be right, but to ensure our customers feel heard, valued, and ultimately satisfied with the service provided. Our team has already reached out with a proposed resolution, and we remain fully committed to working with you toward a fair and positive outcome.

Responsive and helpful
The company was helpful and responsive to my requests and questions. They picked my car up and delivered it within 5 days without damage. Only thing is that the carriers call you the day of or the day before your car gets picked up/delivered. Otherwise, I would book with SGT Auto again.
