Called ii today as i had no idea how to use the platform and got through to Edan who was excellent. He talked me all through my questions and even had some bonus tips of how to make sure i was on the right subscription and ways to save. Just a few minutes with him and now i'm waaayyy more confident with the whole platform. What a ledge!

When I called the help desk at ii, I was put through to Aneesa who I found to be very helpful under unusual circumstances. She was able to sort my query out there and then and advise me on what I needed to do.
TOTAL LACK OF RESPONSE
I contacted ii to enquire if on my death my children could donate some or all of my pension to charity. They replied possibly but that it would be up to the trustees of the scheme. Receiving an inconclusive sit on the fence answer when I needed certainty was no help whatsoever.
I also contacted them asking if I nominated my 2 grandchildren who were minors how would the money be paid as I wanted the parents to be able to use any withdrawals for the benefit of my grandchildren.
I was informed that the money had to be paid into a bank / building society account in the child's name (even though both are under 5 years of age}. An account in a child's name is inaccessible until they reach 18.
Fortunately after contacting other platforms I have received certainty that my children's wishes would be accommodated and that any withdrawals for my grandchildren would be paid into their parents' account thus enabling it to be put to good use before they reach 18.
I emailed the managing director Richard Wilson on each of these concerns but didn't receive a reply or acknowledgement on either.
