I’m really sorry to the people who have had bad experiences. Maybe they’ve changed overtime, but I’ve had nothing but a great experience shopping from Scarlett darkness. I initially needed to return some thing, but when it arrived, I fell in love with the clothes. They fit perfectly and are exactly as described. I would definitely shop from them again, should I need something else. Customer service was really responsive and helpful.

Updating on Sept 28: The company sent me a completely different dress and when I reached out to them, they were confused (they used the phrase "I roughly understand the problem" making me think their customer service is really just AI and not a real person). I'm changing to 1 star. I liked the quality of the products I received, but 3 months and 20 back and forth emails with ridiculous customer service is not worth it. I won't be ordering from the company again and if you must, I recommend doing it through Amazon so at least there's some accountability on their end and visibility on yours.

Original review: I placed an order with Scarlet Darkness in July 2025. It was my first order and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I received 3/4 items so far (corset, overdress, and piece of jewelry) and I'm impressed with the quality. The fabric and other materials look and feel nice, not cheap like a mass-produced Halloween costume. I had an issue with receiving the 4th item (a dress) but after reaching out to customer service, they offered to send another dress which I'm grateful for. I'm looking forward to wearing my full outfit!

I first ordered one thing, an ear cuff, to see how shipping went and it was quick, easy and I got exactly what I wanted. So, I placed an order for a cloak and hand piece and selected expedient shipping. After a week I sent an email asking what was going on with my order because my first one went so fast only to find out the two items I had ordered were not instock and in fact one was still being made. If I had know that I was pre-ordering the items I wouldn't have bought them as I was on a deadline. They did offer for me to pick something else and they would change out the cloak reguaredless of monetary value between the items, but I decided to just keep the cloak as it was one of the most expensive things on their website and it was unclear if the item I would pick to exchange with would be a pre-order as well. So future buyer's beware that this website does not indicate if something is in stock or not. Nor do they say if you will be pre-ordering an item.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I GOT SCAMMED. I ordered a dress end of June. Didn't receive a message till mid August saying the dress was no longer available. I requested a refund seeing as I couldn't get the dress I wanted, but no response. I've sent another mail to 3 emails or theirs, still no response.

I purchased a corset from this brand. The corset itself looks lovely, as pictured. Though there were some shipping issues, it arrived eventually, and customer service was helpful and professional. However, the listing says it is made of twill cotton, and I bought it because I specifically wanted a cotton corset, but the actual label on the garment says it is made of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, which is disappointing. I sincerely hope they change the listing to reflect the actual fabric composition, as it is rather misleading. I will unfortunately probably not be purchasing from Scarlet Darkness again, as I do not trust the information included in the listings to be accurate anymore.

Update: I emailed customer service about the discrepancy between the information included in the listing and the actual fabric composition, and they said they will update the information and offered me a partial refund. They responded quite quickly and were polite, so that is certainly a plus. I might give this brand another chance in the future.

2nd update: I must amend my review once again because unfortunately after wearing the corset (only once, for less than half a day) it promptly broke (it broke no more than 3 hours after putting it on, to be precise). The boning started poking out the fabric at the top (it is made of clear plastic, if anyone wanted to know). I'm really sorry, but the poor quality, combined with the false information listed is incredibly disappointing to me, especially for the price. I could've bought something like this for much cheaper, I purchased this product because I thought it would be high quality, including the fabric, and it's just not.
Moreover, when I emailed customer service about the discrepancy between the information included in the listing and the actual fabric composition, they said they would update the information and offered me a partial refund. While I did receive the partial refund and am very grateful for that, the information on the listing has still not been updated, which is also rather disappointing. I must honestly say that I regret purchasing this product.

3rd update: customer service offered to send me a new corset since the previous one broke almost immediately. They told me to pick a new corset and let them know which size and colour I wanted so they could send it to me. However, I have done this twice now, both times it took them a while to get back to me and I had to chase them to receive a response. The first time they claimed the colour I chose was out of stock, and asked me to pick another colour, which I did, even though the colour I'd selected still seemed to be available on their website (in my size). The second time they claimed the item itself was out of stock, even though, once again, the website does not reflect this at all. They offered to just refund me if I did not wish to pick out another item, and I agreed to this alternative option because frankly, I am tired of trying to pick things that show up as available on their website only to wait around for a response and then be told that they, in fact, aren't available (even though they still seem to be). And let me be clear: they OFFERED to send a replacement (and then the refund), I did not ask for any compensation, I simply reported the issue.

4th (and hopefully last) update: while, as mentioned, the process was a bit confusing/frustrating, I have (after a couple more email exchanges) finally received a full refund (which I am very grateful for, as they did offer it spontaneously). I feel I must also note that they have asked me to delete this review twice, but as I told them, that would be dishonest in my opinion, as I simply described my experience, and everything I said still stands and might be useful information for potential customers. I did, however, think it was only fair that I add another update to say that I did receive a full refund in the end. Oh and, if I'm not mistaken, the fabric composition on the listing has also finally been updated.

The site was designed well for costumer use. The recieved articles of clothes were wonderfully crafted and fit perfectly.

High quality and reasonably fast delivery. Very good service all around. I will be shopping here again! :)

I love the sizing chart! As a woman who has always struggled to find good dresses that actually fit the sizing chart has been a life saver. They offer discounts often when they're cleaning out their inventory for their new seasonal items so if you're on the email list I can always find good deals! The clothes are pretty and of good quality

I used to love Scarlet Darkness...but their customer service and process for shipping is atrocious. I ordered at the end of July for an event for my daughter. I waited the 20 days(which is generous for shipping times) since they stated on their website that they have issues with shipping information loading to their site. Not only did my items not ship they "were still in production". I received no email stating that it would be a month and a half before I got my products. My daughter had to piece together a different outfit. I did get someone to respond and I got a "sorry". I have been sent an email saying that if I left a 5 star review I would get a coupon but I don't plan on spending with them again. New reviews are possible spam from customers wanting a coupon. Be wary!!

I wear them literally daily for work and I feel the most Bonita I’ve ever felt! Gonna be shopping here the rest of my life! Waist chains? Ugh dazzling. The multi color pink and blue corseted dress gives princess and the pauper babe I’m so obsessed. Trust that.

I adore the styles of corsets and dresses offered by this brand! I have a few corsets from them, and they are so comfortable! The only downside is that their clothes are frequently unaffordable for me, but the pieces that I did spend on have surely been worth it!

I bought different items from them several times and everything was fine. Once I had a problem with one of my items and the support was very nice and helpful, and I was happy in the end. Their items are great for cosplay, renfairs, palace games or as everyday fashion ☺️

I've ordered several time from them, and they have always been fast with shipping, and my clothes have arrived for my larp events. The only time I had an issue I was able to talk with the team and get the information on why there was a delay on some items, and even got a compensation gift.

I love Scarlet Darkness! They have become my favorite brand since I discovered them! The clothes are as gorgeous as in the website's pictures, the fabrics quality is good. And the shipment is fast! I'm looking forward to the fall collection!

Customer service fixed my issues with my orders and was efficient. The clothing was great as always.

I placed an order on 8/15 for an in stock item. According to their website, it should ship in 1 to 3 days. It still hasn't shipped but I received an email with a tracking number. USPS still doesn't have the package and after reading these reviews, I have a terrible feeling that it never will. Or at least I won't receive it in time for my event. I have emailed, I have sent a Facebook message and still haven't gotten a response. I wish I had researched this company before I gave them my money. All I want is my dress, but if it won't be here before 9/05, then i want to cancel. If I don't get a response by this Friday, I'm contacting my bank and also will file a BBB complaint.

If I could give no stars I would. I purchased a dress on July 17th. When almost a month passed with no delivery info I reached out...3 times. After my 4th try, I finally got a response saying my item had sold out. They didn't proactively reach out to let me know, nor did they respond to my first 3 attempts. They told me they'd offer me an exchange but I didn't want anything else (nor trust that it would actually get delivered). I told them I wanted a refund and got radio silence (again). Finally had to reach out to my bank over a month later to get any money back. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Wish I had known before I purchased...
