I booked/paid for double large bed in Scandic hotel near Trondheim airport, but from Reception gave me room with 2 single bed instead.
DISAPPOINTED!
I had a disappointing experience with the hotel reception regarding the unacceptable customer service I experienced when attempting to resolve an issue with my booking.
I had mistakenly booked the wrong dates through one of their partner platforms and called the hotel to request the contact details or assistance to facilitate a change. However, the experience I had was both frustrating and disappointing.
1. Long Waiting Time: Each time I called, I had to wait over 10 minutes for my call to be answered. On one occasion, the wait time was 11 minutes, and on another, it was 14 minutes.
2. Unprofessional and Rude Behavior:
On the first call, after I waited 11 minutes to be connected, the staff member hung up abruptly after less than 2 minutes of conversation. While I was searching for my booking details, the staff member impatiently said, “You need to prepare all the information when calling us,” and then disconnected the call without warning.
On the second call, after waiting 14 minutes, I provided my booking details and started explaining my request. Before I could finish, the staff member interrupted, saying, “There is noise in your background, you should contact your platform to change it,” and again hung up without allowing me to clarify or ask further questions.
This behavior is both unprofessional and deeply frustrating, especially considering the amount of time I spent waiting to speak to someone. Hanging up on a customer without resolving their issue or even properly listening to their concern is unacceptable.
