This is my first time ever ordering RX glasses/ sunglasses on-line . As many reviewers have stated , it does take awhile for the product to get to you. Mine arrived within 3 weeks of ordering them. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I got them ... the lenses (progressive) I received were too strong and made me nauseas after 1 minute of wearing them. Needless to say I had to return them for a refund ($432.xx). Unlike other reviews I hope to receive my refund in a timely manner (I will write followup review my initial review).
As for communication I felt that it was good. I was advised when the lenses were being made but had to call after awhile to get a status. The customer service agent I worked with (Kayla) was both friendly and knowledgeable when i had a few questions and also helpful after I received my order.

I am beyond angry with Salt City Optics. Apoplectic even. It's been 5 weeks since I placed my order and still no sunglasses. Yes, they were Rx but 5 weeks?! I have emailed, left chat messages and voicemail messages. Most have gone without response. When I finally did connect I was lied to about shipping, three times! I was told "it should be shipping out tomorrow" then days later when the tracking number (which I had to demand) revealed nothing I was told "they just shipped." When that proved to be not true I was told "looks like we missed the shipping cutoff - they're set to go out today." Even if one day my sunglasses do show, they will always remind me of what a terrible experience this has been.

I was shopping for Oakley glasses and saltcityoptics offered them at a discount.. Oakley was excluded and I understood that and bought them elsewhere.
When I now do ANY web search, I am presented with saltcityoptics.com offers for extremely low prices for various Oakley and other brand sunglasses at attractive low prices.. HOWEVER, when I click on the ad, I am directed to saltlakecityoptics.com site and the prices are what was NOT advertised on the ad.
I contacted them, provided proof and received a bone head reply. "no discount on Oakley".
This company is obviously not honest or trustworthy.
BBB has no record of the company.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Ordered my glasses online. Waited 2 weeks and called to see why nothing had changed on my order. I was told that nothing was the matter and they would be shipped out the following day. Waited about a week and no glasses showed up. Called again and was told there was a small delay because of some coating and that they would ship them out asap. I waited a week again called and found out that they still had not shipped. This time I was promised that they were on there way called again a day or two later to find out that no they were still not even finished. By this time I was quite upset so I spoke to the owner. He assured me that they would be sent out the following day. I waited three days and nothing so I called again and guess what they still had NOT shipped out. After throwing a fit they finally shipped them and I got the glasses in the mail. I waited over a month for my glasses and was lied to several times about the status of my order. Additionally I was told on multiple occasions that I would be called back or emailed and not even one time did that happen. Additionally, after I complained the owner said I want to make this right so asked me what he could do for me. I told him I was busy and wasn't sure how he could make it right. He informed me that he would call me back the next day, but, as expected he didn't. So, I called to find out what the hell was going on and he was "unavailable" so I left a message to have him call me, but, still no one has called. Here is the summary if you don't need your glasses and can wait forever, and your ok with being lied to and delayed over and over THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO SHOP. If you want good service I suggest going somewhere else.

Only order from here if you are happy with very long wait times. I ordered sunglasses over a month ago, and I am still waiting. Their website says orders are filled in 10 days, that is clearly not the case. I ordered glasses from here because my usual place didn't have the certain frames I wanted. If I had stuck with my usual place, I would have had my glasses in a week. Their customer service is excellent, until they have your money, then they just leave you hanging. I don't recommend this place.

Something's up with SCO. It takes them a month or more before they ship your order. They'll blame Oakley. You go online and Oakley has what you want in stock, ready to ship. You call Oakley and they say " Yeah, we have the Rx frames you want and can ship them today. " You then call SCO and they'll say " We reached out to our 'distributor' and your glasses will ship end of business today or tomorrow. " Today or tomorrow never comes. So, I think SCO is full of it. I won't be back ever after this $500.00 hi-jack.

Your glasses will stay in the "lab processing" phase forever and a week (LOL).

They told me I didn't put a name on the order....... I have tried to call 15 times at different times through the day for a week. I have left 3 messages. I have emailed multiple times. Never have I heard back. They only said they couldn't send because they didn't have a name. I have now given the name to them multiple times and have tried to reach salt city optics at all times throughout the day. Never an answer or a response. I just want a refund so I can buy from a real company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY AND THE SCUM OF THE EARTH.

I ordered prescription sunglasses on 4/2/17. I was told processing would take about two weeks. After three weeks I called to check status. I was told they would be out by the end of the week. Called back the next week and phone goes to voicemail. They have not returned phone calls or emails.

Both glasses I ordered were shipped out in less than the time I was quoted and arrived at my mail box in a week.

I had issues with the two pairs of glasses I bought. I returned them with the promise to get the Len's corrected. It's been 4 months and I have not yet received the replacements or a refund and salt city is ignoring my communication. DO NOT USE

I was unsure which tint to select for my prescription sunglasses so to give me a better idea of the lens I would receive, the customer representative I spoke with sent me actual images that he took with his own phone so I didn't have to rely on the stock images on the site. I couldn't ask for a more helpful experience with this purchase.

I love the brands offered and the online ordering process is super easy. Very happy with my purchase!

The service was great. They asked the questions that they needed to make my glasses, and got them done quickly.

I truly love my glasses! The only reason for the downgrade is because I tried to contact them about three times before I actually heard back. But I think this was really just a glitch because once I finally got a customer service rep to email me back, I was in constant contact and everything was great. I LOVE MY GLASSES!

At age 66 I had to make a choice as to which glasses I was going to wear for the rest of my life. An important decision but not as important as which company I got them from and how good their warranty is.
Salt City Optics have a large range at the very best price. I had an issue which needed attention and they found a solution extremely fast and to my satisfaction.
Salt City Optics have a "Rock Solid Warranty" which they stand by and you can trust, along with very friendly staff ready and willing to help you in every way. Best shopping experience ever.

When I ordered my Oakley Fuel Cell RX Sunglasses from Salt City Optics I was not expecting to have the best customer service or such a quick turn around. To my astonishment the customer service rep who helped me was more then helpful and it took a little under two weeks to receive me glasses. However, I changed my lens options from Black Mirror to a Dark Blue lens while on a call with the rep. When I received my glasses the requested change was not made. I did not have time to call and make the changes or send the product back so I just let it be for now.

Other then that issue everything was great.

Will purchase from Salt City Optics again!
