We bought Salt & Stone deodorant, and within less than a month, it completely damaged our clothes. The oils from the deodorant left very visible stains that won’t come out, making several items u... See more

Salt & Stone misrepresents stick deodorant as gel, then won't stop subscription when asked
If you want a good deodorant, do not buy one from Salt & Stone. It claims its expensive ($27.17 per stick, with shipping and taxes) "bergamot & hinoki" deodorant is a "gel," when in fact it is a STICK deodorant, just as icky as most stick deodorants, only at three or four times the cost.
The deceptive part comes when you deal with the company. It shipped me a second deodorant that I didn't want WEEKS before I could cancel it!!! Salt & Stone's business practices apparently are designed to get as much money out of you as possible before you can stop it.
Unlike the other companies that I have subscriptions with, Salt & Stone did NOT notify me that they were preparing to ship me another stick deodorant, so that I could have canceled it in a timely manner. Instead, Salt & Stone sent me an email AT THE SAME TIME they shipped me the second deodorant stick! Now I've paid OVER $50 for two stick deodorants I'm throwing in the trash!!!!
Oh, and the "team" at Salt & Stone were just SO SORRY that they couldn't refund my money because the product already shipped! This is deceptive, because Salt & Stone did not provide me with an effective way to cancel my subscription before I received the unwanted product.
Advertising a product as one thing (a "gel deodorant"), when it is actually another thing, (a "stick deodorant"), is defined as a deceptive trade practice under the laws of the state of Texas, where I live. I am filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office over this, because I am sick and tired of companies essentially cheating you out of your money.
If I could give Salt & Stone a negative 10 rating, I would. Don't waste your money.

FALSE ADVERTISING ALERT!
To all the people who say they don’t understand the negative reviews, you clearly sit behind a desk all day as this deodorant doesn’t work! To anyone who is on there feet all day vs rolling around on a chair, this stuff does not work. To the people who rant on social media about it lasting two days you should be ashamed.
SAVE YOUR MONEY 👎👎👎
I felled for the hype. Do not believe these 5 stars reviews because it’s all a LIED! I bought the santal & vetiver body mist, The scent .. what SCENT?! Save your money.
Total scam for UK customers and no…
Total scam for UK customers and no customer service contact for complaints or to escalate. This company should be sued taken to court.
I had really high hopes for this…
I had really high hopes for this natural deodorant and it was great for the first month however since then it has really made my bo ten times worse than ever before. I am not naturally a smelly person but when I now put this on it makes me smell so bad very quickly. I am very sorry to have to write this but it isn’t a great product and needs reviewing asap.
I ordered the deodorant and it hardly…
I ordered the deodorant and it hardly has any fragrance. This was confirmed by 3 other people. Extreme False advertising!
Excellent natural deodorant
I read the other reviews and I honestly don’t understand why they give such poor reviews. I absolutely love the Santal deodorant. It’s far superior to any other natural deodorant I have used. It truly lasts at least 48 hours. No odor at all! It also works well as an anti-perspirant and has no aluminum which is so important to me. I’m so happy with my purchase. I also like the body spray. It’s light and refreshing.
Doesn’t work. They don’t return
Doesn’t work. I applied throughout the day (as my body odor returned). By the end of the day it barely masked the body odor. Tried it for 3 days. Asked to return it. They don’t accept returns for used products. They only offered a non-return $9 credit. Anyone want my $9 credit?
Doesn't last
Smells nice to begin with but it is not an antiperspirant and also the smells don't last unfortunately.
Smells Great but Stains Clothes :(
I really like the scents of their deodorants especially the Bergamonte & Hinoki. Used for about a month and everything was great...until I realized that they were staining my clothes. I often don't wear undershirts so naturally the deodorant paste would get on the clothing near the underarm area. I noticed after a month that all of my shirts were "darker" only around the under arm area which is really frustrating. Even worse I have 2 brand new sticks that I don't even feel right giving away because I don't want other people's clothes ruined so I have to throw them away. A real disappointment.
This stuff is freaking amazing and all…
This stuff is freaking amazing and all natural and it smells so damn good it's divine heavenly even you want to smell yourself all day give it a try and the deodorant last forever the perfume sticks with you it is so good and if you think it's weird when you first smell one of them put it on I promise it is amazing 😍
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. I gave in to the hype and the marketing around salt & stone and bought their deodorant for £20. I wish I could say positive things, but unfortunately it was just a waste of money. The scent is very subtle and does not last long at all. It’s really a shame, that’s all I can say. I wish I read the reviews before buying. I would not recommend :(
I had high hopes for their products…
I had high hopes for their products because the initial smell is beautiful. However, it does not lasts even a few minutes on your body. The influencers do a great job lying.
Deodorant does not work at all
Deodorant does not work at all. Company does not stand by their products. They offered a $3 credit to try another scent and make another purchase..waste of money don't do it!
Poor quality, dissapointing
Dissapointing for the quality price. I ordered several deodorants and a shower gel.
Now I deal with a redness on my skin for several days which looks like an allergy, also the shower gel it is not hydrating at all.
The shower gel bottle is a very poor quality one as every time you press the pump for the shower gel, the product leaks around the pump which turns into a product waste.
The gel deodorants are leaking as well on the bottom where you switch in order to lift the product you need to use. This unpleasant situation not only results in a product waste, but also in a sticky deodorant bottle and a sticky surface where you have it.
We are not returning to buy this products
Had high expectations when I ordered…
Had high expectations when I ordered this..very disappointing...zero fragrance unless you sniff the container and zero effect against sweating..The power of marketing!
Customer service was awful
Customer service was awful, I ordered the incorrect shower gel and e-mailed them within less than 7 minutes of noticing this and the reply came back really quickly saying it was too late to amend as warehouse already were working to dispatch my order, It then took 10 days for the product to arrive which seems suspicious 🤨
Wouldn’t recommend if you sweat a lot or have really bad BO
I was soo happy that I found something that would really fight my BO despite being natural, I didn’t even the extravagant price!. I applied it the first day and nothing went wrong, my pits smelt nice half the day. The next morning was headed for the library where you just sit but I still sweated and smelt BO on myself and I had to excuse my self not to irritate people studying.
I thought to myself whether I had just applied little instead. The next day I applied in the morning then within two hours, I was already severely sweating and the BO started coming out slowly. I then reapplied, boy I was wrong, it felt like I hadn’t used deodorant in ages 🥹. The deodorant just left me white patches on my clothes and a mix of BO and deodorant smell. The hype on the internet about this product is not worth it at all. Mind you, I only applied for three days. Just three. So if you have some strong BO and you are overly sweaty please save your £20 +£5 delivery 😊. Your welcome.
Love the scent I got!!
Love the scent I got!!! If it just lasted more than a few minutes. I really wanted my clothes to absorb the smell too but there will be no chance of that. 😞
I love salt and stone
I love salt and stone, however the price mark for this is ridiculous it needs to be cheaper I order once on the website then realised Amazon stocks it so I order from there to avoid any problems if it need to be returned. The original one is great the gel version is not so great it doesn’t last long and I stink literally within 3 hours of using it I am looking to try out wild or fussy as they are cheaper and apparently work better
