Turkey?!?
Firstly, the products are good. My issue, being a proud Norfolk boy, is that they are advertised hard as from Norfolk, used on Norfolk beaches, designed by a Norfolk person etc etc. Nowhere on the website does it say they are made in Turkey.
I’m happy with them but it’s a shame the product couldn’t follow the atmosphere generated by the advert and give some work to those in Norfolk or at least in UK.

As you quite rightly spotted, we are a proudly Norfolk-born company. The original designs were created on a kitchen table in Brancaster, and the very first of our Drying Coats were made in Hunstanton!
Unfortunately, the cost of having them made in Norfolk was such that we could never have made a successful business from it.
So, we turned to the home of cotton towelling - Turkey.
We state where our Drying Coats are made in the FAQ pages and the "Our Story" page, as well as on the Drying Coats themselves.
It's a shame that we were unable to keep producing them in the UK but they're made in the next best place.

Great response from Ruff and Tumble below. Your description of the coat and quality have made me reassess my thoughts. So often t h e quality of items bought online is poor. Turkish cotton, towels are top quality, I agree. I've given you 4 stars in the hope that when I order the coats will be good quality. May I commend you on your speedy and full response.
I was keen to buy another drying coat for my working cocker spaniels. I put in their weight on the site, and was directed to Medium.
I cannot believe it is £60 for a towelling dog coat. Why is this so expensive and special.
I have an old towel to dry my dogs after working or walking. Then if it's cold a fleece coat at £8.
£60 for a towelling coat, which will be wet and perhaps freeze in the back of a car sounds frightening and hugely expensive.

Ruff and Tumble Dog Drying Coats are designed to dry the dog, not simply wipe water off the surface. Unlike using a towel, which often leaves you with a wet towel and a still-damp dog - our drying coats work by being worn for a period of time. The fabric actively draws moisture away from the dog’s coat, allowing them to dry naturally without rubbing, mess, or repeated towel changes.
Our coats are made with our signature double layer of natural cotton towelling, specifically developed for absorbency, breathability, and durability. They are not made from synthetic microfibre (plastic-based fabrics commonly used in cheaper alternatives), and they are not made in China. Ruff and Tumble drying coats are responsibly made in Turkey, a country renowned for producing the world’s highest-quality cotton towelling.
For many working dog owners, one drying coat replaces multiple towels and an additional fleece (because once the dog is dry the coat will keep them warm), while also protecting cars, crates, and homes from water and mud. Used correctly, the coat absorbs moisture from the dog rather than remaining cold and wet against the skin.
We would also note that this feedback appears to be based on perception rather than use of the product itself. Customers who do use our drying coats (including many gundog and working spaniel owners) regularly tell us they would not be without them.
That said, every owner is free to choose what works best for them and their dogs, and we respect that. We’re always happy to answer questions or offer guidance if you’d like to learn more before purchasing.

Unfortunately there were some issues…
Unfortunately there were some issues with delivery of this product. Would definitely recommend using the DPD option and avoiding Evri! However, when I contacted Ruff & Tumble to report the failure of delivery they were very pro active and apologised. They dealt well with my complaint and I love this product, it’s excellent.

Best slip lead
Ordered slim slip lead yesterday. Arrived today. Fantastic quality, best one I have ever had and I've had dogs since 1989. While I am writing I can also highly recommend the drying coats and mitts as well. Thank you Ruff and Tumble 😀

LOST ORDER
I placed the order on the 24th November. 2 working weeks and it has not been received. The courier Evri are not able to locate it despite agreeing that they have the order for delivery. Very Frustrated

You’re dealt with as a person, by a person
Along with Shark (the hoover company), RuffandTumble have the best customer service I’ve experienced. An element of my order was incorrect (not the companies fault, part of the “Black Friday” chaos which engulfs logistics every year) however on contacting RuffandTumble I got an immediate response, from a person, on a Saturday. The issue was resolved and the company even gave me a call to apologise.

Made order on November 24th was…
Made order on November 24th was expecting item to arrive with 3 to 4 days. Got email 2 days after making order to say my item had been dispatched to the shipping company ENVRI. Item never arrived. Contacted customer support who were very helpful in replacing my item and shipping it with a different shipping company which arrived in a couple of days. Very pleased with the service from ruff and tumble and the quality of the item is outstanding. Would not recommend using ENVRI for shipping but would highly recommend ruff and tumble for quality products and customer satisfaction and support

I’ve looked into this for you, and I’d like to clarify a few details to explain what’s happened. Your order was placed on 21st November, which was a Friday and after our daily dispatch cut-off time. As we’re not open over the weekend, your order was processed and shipped on Monday 24th November, which is why you received the dispatch confirmation on that date.
Based on our delivery timeframe, Friday 28th would have been the 4th working day, so we can see that your parcel is now slightly delayed as of today. Tracking shows that it has been held up at the Evri depot, and we’re more than happy to raise an investigation with Evri to help locate it and resolve this as quickly as possible.

This is a very good drying coat
This is a very good drying coat. My dog is a springer spaniel so she is always in rivers, the sea or puddles so is constantly wet. I find rubbing her down with a towel and putting the coat on her afterwards keeps her warm and she is mostly dry by the time we get home. I would recommend this coat to any owner who has a constantly wet dog!!!
