Such a relief to know that an experienced pet carer is looking after my cat when I need to leave town. My experience with Rover is excellent, my cat is calm when I return; litter box, water bowl and food area all tidy and clean.

My sitter was so professional and loving. My baby was in good hands.

Sitters do not care about your pets or your instructions. They will cancel on you and then you’ll have to make arrangements while you’re 3 hours away on vacation hoping that someone will help you. Not worth the stress, I don’t recommend. I would find trusted people and friends in your circle and pay them, you’d save a lot of money and time.

I enjoy being able to see sitters available in my area. I was able to choose someone who lives nearby, making the whole process much less stressful. I also enjoy the ability to communicate easily without sharing a personal phone number. Both times we used the app, we were able to schedule a meet and with our sitter a couple of weeks prior to our scheduled absence, which again helped to reduce stress for both us and our pet. The daily check-in alerts and pics are a great way to stay connected and feel reassured that our furry family member is happy and safe. Being able to rate each sitter and read reviews on the app also provides peace of mind for future reservations.

It was quick, easy, seamless to find highly rated sitters, affordable, and we were happy with the service.

Marina made everything so simple and easy. We just dropped him off and back about two hours later and he was perfect. Grooming my dog outside my house has never been easier. Thor was super Happy not scared, or in shock. I wish I could give her 10 stars

Had issues with my house/dog sitter and Rover requested I reach out directly to my sitter. No help at all. If my sitter agreed with me, we wouldn’t have issues. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My sitter Gioia was amazing. She really loved on my kitties and was great in communicating with me.

I had a great sitter experiencebut found site difficult to navigate. I never did figure out how to tip my sitter and site defaulted my booking to repeat every week. I thought I cancelled it but they continued ti charge my card so I had to call to straighten it out and receive a refund. I enjoy tge sitter check-in photos and young lady was super sweet.

Andrianna was very professional and communicative. She gave me frequent updates and sent photos as well. VERY pleased with Adrianna.

I trusted Rover with my dog’s safety. That trust was violated, and Rover’s response made an already disturbing experience even worse.

A Rover sitter used an e collar on my dog, without my knowledge or consent. Throughout his stay, I received positive updates, with no mention of behavioral concerns or the use of the device. I discovered the collar still on him after bringing him home. Only after confronting the sitter did she acknowledge what she had done.

I reported this incident to Rover’s Trust & Safety team and escalated it directly to a Vice President, who never responded.

While Rover issued a refund, a refund does not erase a serious violation of trust or excuse the company’s failure to follow through. I was explicitly assured that the sitter’s comments would be removed from my profile and my dog’s. That never happened.

Even more troubling, I recently discovered that the sitter appears to be active on Rover’s platform again. When I requested answers, Rover repeatedly cited its Terms and Conditions rather than providing meaningful reassurance regarding my safety concerns.

What disturbs me most is not just the sitter’s actions, but Rover’s failure to demonstrate meaningful accountability afterward.

I have permanently deactivated my account and will never use Rover again.

To anyone considering this platform: Please understand that trusting someone with your pet means trusting them with a member of your family. My experience has left me seriously questioning Rover’s commitment to that responsibility.

Pet safety should never be negotiable. Accountability should never be optional.

My dog deserved better. So did I.

Our dog (and house) sitter was marvelous. She bonded well with our fur kids, obviously took great care of them and sent us photos and brief reports. Plus, upon our return we found the house immaculate. A win all around!

The sitter Karrisa was great but your app was a little confusing.

Rover couldn't have made it easier to find and arrange care for our cat. We were given several sitters to choose from and a private portal to contact them. All sitters are background checked which gives peace of mind. While we were gone our sitter provided us with updates and photos of our happy cat. Definitely will use again for our pet care needs.

A very nice lady took great care of our two dogs while we were on travel. I was very pleased.

The fact is, after several services from Rover, that their care takers are professional. This does not mean a college degree or certificate on the wall, it means they have people that enjoy the care of handling animals...cats, dogs, whatever. That's what makes the Rover's "product" the best.
