The sitter was amazing. She pampered and watch over my dog like if it was one of her own. She would send me daily pictures and videos of Isabela. It’s the first time I leave my dog with a stranger and today I can say that I felt like she was family. Isabela was very happy and enjoying play time, walks and socializing with her dogs. I will definitely book her again.

Easy to use app, lots of potential sitters, quality of care.

We loved the pictures of our fur babies, and their rover cards. Kind of like a report card, letting us know how they were doing for their sitter, and what they were up to. Plus, we had very little notice we needed to make this trip, and they were still able to accommodate us!

The pet sitter from Rover was very reliable. They communicated clearly (sent a message once a day with photos of my pet and notes). Each day, she visited my cat at the scheduled time and provided playtime, fresh food, a treat, fresh water; and scooped the litterbox. The next time I go on vacation, I will feel confident choosing this pet sitter from Rover again.

She was very responsive and sent lots of photos while watching our pets. Would highly recommend and will book with her again!

Everything went very smoothly, from finding a sitter/meet & greet and the visits. This is a great website for me as I have an elderly dog so it’s much more preferable for him to stay home rather than at a boarding place.

Our experience with pet sitters through Rover has been disappointing, particularly regarding reliability, communication, agreed-upon care, and respect for our home.

We travel frequently, so reliable, long-term availability is a key topic when we interview sitters. We have a lap dog and a quiet, independent cat, and we explain their needs and our expectations before hiring anyone so they can decide whether the arrangement is a good fit.

We recently interviewed a sitter who assured us that pet sitting was her full-time job and that she would be available on an ongoing basis. Based on those assurances, we hired her and booked our upcoming trips, confident that we had dependable care arranged. After one stay, everything seemed fine. About a week later, however, she canceled all future dates, explaining that she had accepted a new job and was no longer pet sitting.

With another sitter, we experienced different problems. She brought her husband into our home without our permission, repeatedly requested additional charges, and during a holiday booking left our pet alone longer than agreed on multiple occasions. Her frequent photo and video updates gave us the impression that she was spending the agreed-upon time with our pets. We later discovered through our Ring camera that her absences extended hours beyond the agreed limit. The updates had given us a misleading picture of the care being provided.

We have also experienced repeated delays in communication with several sitters. Despite choosing sitters with five-star ratings, we have often been left waiting for responses when trying to confirm arrangements or discuss care. Timely communication matters when someone is responsible for our pets and our home.

These experiences have left us scrambling to find trustworthy care, caused us to cancel travel plans, and resulted in financial losses. We understand that circumstances can change, but accurate communication about availability, honoring care arrangements, and obtaining permission before bringing someone into our home are reasonable expectations.

After several disappointing experiences, we have moved on to other platforms in search of dependable care. Rover did not provide the peace of mind we hoped to find.

I was very happy with Rover web page. Very easy to use. I was able to choose my pet sitter and I will recommend her to anyone.

I will use the service again but it would be nice not to get so many texts.

The ease in finding someone we could trust with our furry kids was amazing! In fact I thanked God for His divine intervention! We were camping in a fifth wheel to attend the wedding of our grandson. High winds and heavy rain was predicted for the weekend and we were concerned about leaving our furry kids in the camper while we attended the wedding events. We needed a trustworthy caregiver with a safe home and ROVER made it possible!

Laura was really good with our dogs, they loved her. She communicated and sent pics daily.
