Roofshield Solutions Ltd 

Leaving a review on behalf of my grandparents (Mr and Mrs Cowell).They were contacted by Roofshield solutions and agreed to undertake the work offered. Scaffolding to complete the work was erected in July. Completing the job took three days. The scaffolding is still up! My grandparents have contacted the company on a number of occasions in an effort to get the scaffolding removed as this has blocked their TV signal and restricted access to their back garden, meaning that they are having to take their wheelie bins through the house each week to have them collected. Each time, the company has promised a date for the scaffolding to be taken down and every time no one has turned up. There has been no communication from Roofshield at any stage. As the scaffolding is also over the neighbours’ gardens, access has to be arranged with them each time too.

We have had to threaten to have another scaffolding company take the scaffolding down for our complaint to be taken seriously. This was a week ago and still no action from Roofshield! We have chased again today and we have been promised that the removal will happen today. This remains to be seen as has been promised previously on a number of occasions over the past 2 months!

Roofshield were happy to take full payment from my grandparents before the work was completed (on 2nd August) but have completely ignored them since then! It definitely seems that they have taken advantage of them being elderly and not kicking up any fuss! Completely unacceptable!!

cleared up and left evrything tidy, second visit to apply finish and do small pointing jobs, again excellent finish,all carried out with minimal fuss.

The roof cleaning crew battled through, at times, heavy rain and completed on schedule; but broke our garden hose!

I am very pleased with the product and service delivery from Roofshield Solutions Ltd and their staff. They worked in a timely and conscientious matter, communicated well at all stages of the process and cleared up everything before recapping on what they had done while working on my property. I now have a roof that looks brand new that will not develop moss, lichens etc for a good number of years following the application of their sealants.

I am very pleased with the work done, would recommend them. I was under no illusion about the mess involved and this was all cleared up. The workers were great and moved all my pots and put them back.

All were very polite to me. Happy with the work done. Clean up of my neighbours garden could have been better and was sorted on second visit

Polite and friendly workmen who got on and worked hard even in the heat and glare on one of the hottest days. The only criticism would be that as they were not the team who did the clean they had not got the correct tiles, but went and brought some. On checking round once the sun had gone down a bit, I noticed under the dormer window there was some areas the paint had not covered. I notified the office who sent someone out to see the problem and the workmen came back and corrected this.

Our roof looks stunning - like a completely new one! Enzo and Luke were very professional, courteous, tidy and careful with our property, plants etc. They both worked very very hard in the scorching heat. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Roofshield Solutions Ltd and have done so already. We received wonderful comments from neighbours within an hour of them finishing.

The work team were organised and efficient. The surveyors/quality control guys were easy to talk to and listened to worries and concerns before and after the job. The office end could come across as more efficient and keep the customer better informed

1. My 79 year old father and I are still waiting for cosmetic work to be completed on a job started in July 2017.
2. Still waiting for a leaking roof to be fixed on a job started in August 2017. 3 attempts to fix the leak with no success. Experienced a full Winter with rain and snow during this time.
3. Both sets of jobs paid for in full by the end of August 2017.
4. Sent 1 email and 3 letters between January 2018 and May 2018 by Recorded Delivery. They were received. Requested a written response multiple times to confirm a completion date. No written response received.
5. No calls from Roofshield Solutions Ltd Offices since October 2017. No work done on our house since October 2017.
6. 2 visits from 2 Roofshield Solutions Ltd members of staff between January and May 2018. Neither of these visits were arranged with us in advance by Roofshield Solutions Ltd Offices. One of the visits was unannounced. There has been no follow up to either of these visits.

Understandably my dad and I are extremely worried about this situation. My dad is retired and doesn't deserve this stress.
7. Why is this happening?
8. Why haven't we received a completion date or explanation in writing in the last 6 months as requested?
Hopefully I can write a more positive review before Winter arrives.

Update: 28062018 (9:40am)
Spoke to Marc Nash (Installation Manager). Thank you for the call Marc. We agreed that Roofshield Solutions Ltd will send my dad and I an email today. It will detail all outstanding work and the completion date. The work will commence on Saturday 30th June 2018. This includes the white cladding strip to be placed on the flat roof and work on the leaking main roof.
Hopefully I can amend this update in the near future.

Roofshield Solutions Ltd has sent us the email as promised. The workmen arrived early on Saturday 30th June 2018. The job needing the white cladding strip is now complete and the roof has been re pointed. Thank you. We called Marc Nash today. He will be calling us back to arrange the coating for the roof to complete the job. I have increased the rating on this review.

The workman arrived early on Sunday 22nd July 2018 as promised. The roof coating was completed within an hour. Thank you. I have increased the overall rating. Still waiting for some heavy showers to really test the leak. Fingers crossed.

Enzo and Luke were very hard-working, polite and enthusiastic. They took pride in their work and were very conscientious.

Largely a good job; 5-stars if there had not been delays in resolving some outstanding issues. The result achieved by the process is very good where they can reach the roof. Moss, etc. has been removed, tiles treated and coloured and it has a great look.

The work took place in October 2017 and the finish over the majority of the roof is excellent. However, some small areas quoted for were not treated because of access issues over a conservatory and around solar panels, even though specifically discussed with the salesman/surveyor. And afterwards some windows were found smeared with the roof coating which is not easily removed.

After calling, visiting and emailing Roofshield Solutions Ltd. over the last 9 months we are pleased that the smears on our windows have now been removed.
Our concerns about the complications of scaffolding, etc. to reach the small area of untreated tiles has left us accepting a refund of a proportion of the fee and stop this dragging on.

I recommend the process but suggest that the final payment is not paid in full until you are completely happy after a day or so as problems may not always addressed quickly.
A comment on TrustPilot seems to have more effect than calls and emails!
