Revelite Reviews

I purchased several of Cerno's top of the line Revelite direct wire mount art lights in a custom size for fine art in my home. They were professionally installed. The quality of the light coming off the fixture was perfect for about 8 months, and then started degrading to a pink color. It was plainly obvious that a black antireflective strip within the fixture was melting away and revealing a pink backing that bounced pink light back on the artwork.

**Updated review** The company is standing by their product and giving me repair materials. I have updated my review from two stars to four stars because of such good customer service.

Three 60" x 30" canvases. Lights dont' light the lower half quite as well as the top half. I know the canvas size is at max recommended and this is the only light that comes close to working. Everything else required top and bottom lights (very unattractive) to illuminate the full canvas.

I just used my new Revelite easel light during my recent participation in the Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational a few weeks ago. I have to say that it was an amazing experience over past nocturne plein air sessions with a headlamp and clip-on battery lights. With the Revelite I could see my palette and canvas perfectly with excellent light quality. Normally with a nocturne painting, it would need hours of touch-up back in the studio to bring the painting up to par. After my two paintings with the Revelite, they were spot on when I returned home! No touch-up needed! The battery life was great, as it barely use a charge for both paintings. It sure made nocturnes fun again! Thanks for a great product. Looking forward to more nighttime painting!

I am very happy with my new easel light by Revelite. The light itself is great but the company and their service is wonderful. I had made an error in my order and immediately notified the company. They were very prompt in getting back with me, correcting the mistake I made and keeping me informed of the order status. I highly recommend the professional company Revelite.

I’ve used a variety of lights on and above my easel and find Revelite to be the absolute finest. I can control the brightness and the color temperature is perfect.

Really nice light. Relatively easy to mount. Expensive.

I live on an island in Washington State with no ability to see any actual Revelite installations to help me judge quality and performance before purchase. I did research other lighting systems and was able to see some in action and was not impressed. So, I carefully read all of the information on the Revelite website and called with questions from both myself and my electrician.

I was as satisfied as I could be given the information available to me and placed the order. My expectations were more than met. I am delighted with the quality and performance of the product and highly recommend this company and its products. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Excellent service and a beautiful product. I use the light almost everyday and have noticed many things about the painting now that I can see it so clearly!

Several orders from Revelite...i'm not an art expert but the product is worthy of being in any gallery. Each piece i have that's lit by Revelite just enhances the beauty of the piece.

I found them on the internet with no intro or reco from anyone.

6 Stars!

This is the most incredible light which brings our paintings to life. The difference between traditional lights is night and day. I would recommend Revelite to anyone who has beautiful pieces of art that they would actually like to see.

I love my Revelite Easel Light! I purchased it to paint LIVE at weddings and celebrations. I made several calls to the company before placing my order and they helped me choose the best product. With the battery pack my easel can be set up near the action to paint the first dance at wedding receptions. It is also easy to position the 24" wide easel light to shine on the canvas and the palette. At home on my back porch Florida studio I use my Revelite Easel Light to paint on cloudy days, or in the evening.

The person I called was very helpful. I did not want to make a mistake because these lights are quite expensive. But our electrician also knew how to install them for us. We could not connect the lights to an outlet because we did not want the electrician to crawl into our attic. Therefore, he made a small hole in the wall behind each picture and above the baseboard, fished the micro wire through the bottom holes and attached the transformers by each hole. Then he connected the transformer cords to a multi outlet strip plug-in that could reach the existing outlet. Our sofa along that wall covers up the transformers and electric cords. We use the strip switch to turn the lights on and off. We finally can enjoy both of our oil paintings in their entirety.

This is the first time I've heard from Revelite since I purchased 7 custom picture lights from them three years ago.

Revelite is the answer to fine art display giving the perfect elegant solution to both residential and commercial applications

The light could not be attached to my easel. I called and asked for help but no one ever called me back.

I first saw the Revelite at John Cosby's studio. After struggling with lighting while I was painting indoors and waking up to some surprises, I finally decided it was time. It was a great decision and so unbelievably helpful when I'm working in my studio. Huge thanks for a great product that makes the process easier! And ultimately, isn't it all about light?

They gave very good directions on how to assess what size light you need, however the price is very high I believe. The light does a very good job of showing off our painting. So in the end I am very pleased with our purchase.

Revelite is the newest and best method for lighting a painting or any work of art. Unlike the previous devices, which use incandescent bulbs that produced heat and that could damage the frame and painting, Revelite uses the new LED technology that stays cool. Moreover, the old fashioned painting lights eventually turned yellow, thus negatively affecting the appearance of the painting. Revelite will stay white indefinitely. As an extra benefit, the Revelite comes with an on/off switch and dimmer, allowing you to find the perfect and unique light for each painting. It can be installed into the wall behind a painting so that no wires show, or it can be mounted directed to the back of the frame. While it costs more than old fashioned incandescent lighting, it will last indefinitely and use a fraction of the electricity of previous lighting systems. It's also very thin and has clean lines and so is very attractive. It comes in various colors to match the frame. In brief, it's elegant, versatile, is pure white light that doesn't change the look of the painting. Also, it won't harm the painting with too much heat. We love our Revelite and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fine art.
