Hello,
We appreciate you sharing your experience. We sincerely apologise for any confusion or frustration you may have experienced with our website. We understand your concerns and want to assure you that our service is transparent. Please allow us to provide some clarification on the matter.
First, our service works like a subscription. After the initial fee (please know that charges can only be processed if a customer manually enters their payment details and agrees to the terms of the service), which grants full access to all features (unlimited resumes and cover letters, job application tips, expert-written content, etc.), if the subscription is not cancelled within 14 days, it automatically renews into a paid monthly plan to maintain uninterrupted access. These conditions are presented clearly during the registration process, including at the point of purchase, within the terms and conditions, and again in the confirmation email sent immediately after the initial payment. This message outlines the subscription terms, billing frequency, and cancellation information to ensure full transparency. You can also see it reflected in your account details ("Settings/Subscription Overview/View billing history"). We understand this information may be overlooked and recognise the importance of clarity at all stages of the customer experience.
Rest assured. Addressing your concerns, we have located your account and confirmed that it has been cancelled. This means that no further charges or renewals will be applied. You also received an email confirmation about this information.
Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience. We continually strive to enhance our site and deliver a seamless user experience. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact our support team at contact@resumelab.com. We'd be happy to help!
Best regards.

Waste of Money
You can't edit your main subheading. What kind of resume builder is that?! I called customer service and they couldn't change it, either! How do you have the nerve to call yourself "Resume Lab" when you can't edit the main subheading!!! I'd rather have spent the fee on a crappy cup of coffee!

Hello,
We sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction experienced. We understand your concerns and would like to provide some clarification. Our platform offers two types of accounts: basic (free) access and full (paid) access.
The basic access account is designed to allow users to explore our builder and try out its features before committing to a purchase. With this account, you can freely use the builder and create your documents. However, it's important to note that the basic access account only allows you to download a plain text version of your document, and it does not include our premium features.
On the other hand, we offer a full access account for a small fee. This account provides a comprehensive set of features, including the ability to print, email, or download your documents using our copyrighted templates. With the full access account, you'll have a 14-day window to utilize these advanced features to enhance your document creation process. In the event the account is not canceled during the first 14 days, the subscription renews to our monthly access.
We continuously strive to improve our website and provide a seamless user experience. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

DON'T fall for the "free" trial!!
After receiving a free trial, I was charged over 20 dollars for a subscription I did not want. I canceled the day after I was charged. Mind you, I did not access this service at all since the first day of the free trial. I am a single, unemployed mother with no income and I relayed this to customer service when I requested a refund. Once again, I did not, and will not, be using the service so I assumed this would be no issue. They proceeded to "prorate" me 11 dollars for "the remainder of the service"... I canceled 1 day after I was charged for a service I did not access or use. Absolute joke, terrible customer service.
People using resume lab are clearly seeking work and here this company is taking advantage of people. There are free services that do the same thing. Seek them out!
