Would give zero starts if I could got a £50 card as a gift that I’ve tried multiple times in zizzi & ask both times cards declined by the restaurants. I called customer services who said the cards aren’t accepted in some of the restaurants advertised on them, they said if I email card support they would arrange a refund emailed card support twice now and just get a generic auto reply back absolutely rubbish service this card should be taken off sale if it’s not accepted at any of the restaurants advertised on it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Tried to use two x £30 gift cards in Prezzos. Cards got declined so originally thought it was the fault of the restaurant, especially as they were advertised as a venue that would accept these cards on the restaurantchoice website. Had to pay over £100 on my own card to settle the bill.

Tried again on another day - this time we went to use the cards at Pizza Express, manager confirmed they did accept them. However, both cards got declined multiple times at the point of paying.

I won’t be trying to use the cards again. Do not purchase these cards as a gift, they’re totally worthless!!

Given the level of reviews on Trust Pilot, I will also be contacting Watchdog and Trading Standards.

My father had been given a restaurant choice gift card and after all the bad reviews I was expecting it not to work. We went to Nando's in Leicester today and it worked. The lady behind the counter swiped it, £25 deducted...no problem at all.

I received a gift card for £50 on my first attempt to use it was told balance not recognised. In 2nd attempt the restaurant was positively hostile and again card not recognised. Code panel on back intact doesn't expire till july 2024.Too embarrassed to go back to person gave it me as a gift as knew they couldn't afford to buy another, (which I knew they would)
Wonder what happens to all the money wasted on these cards 🤔

£50 gift card- attempted using in 3 of the participating restaurants and not one of them would except this card!! Theft! Scam! Avoid at all costs.

Impossible to check balance….website gives you a phone number to call but automated service does not give you enough time to enter details. I managed it eventually but was then told that they were unable to locate card details. If anyone gives you a restaurant choice card as a gift, give it right back and ask for the cash instead…better still just avoid the company completely. SCAM company. Easy to see why they have “ rebranded” trying to obtain balance by phone or website virtually impossible so satisfaction rating must be zero for anyone trying to use. Also very limited on the sites they claim will accept them

You can not check the balance beforehand.. there's a number to phone to check the balance.. you have 3 seconds to enter the 12 digit number. There is a link on the website.. after several clicks they give you the same number to phone. The restaurant cannot check either.. until you have ordered and go to pay. My card had an expiry date of 0724 under the scrape away silver panel. This is incorrect. This is not a user friendly gift. This company needs to be investigated. Avoid!

Declined ! Got the bill & embarrassingly declined 10 times and had to pay the bill ourselves. Never again.

Our card was declined 3 times whilst trying to pay for a meal that we had no other budget for. The balance checker phone line kept cutting off then saying it was an invalid card. The card was newly purchased by family. Have now mananaged (after some searching) to check balance online & it says balance is £50. I really want to email someone to see why/make sure I'm not embarrassed & left out of pocket again. I would not recommend these vouchers as gifts or if using get the restaurant team to check the card before ordering.

Robbery!!!! Don’t purchase as the person won’t receive the gift/money. Card had expired by 14 days, called customer service as their terms and conditions state that they will honour 50% of the cards value if notified within 3 months of the expiry date. Sadly they did not and the unhelpful customer service representative is sticking to a script and will not budge, complaint logged with them and also reported to trading standards!

An awful gift, the cards expire and they take your money. If you are considering a gift card as a present, just give cash instead.

Don’t buy this card! I have a $100 balance and have tried to use it so many times but failed. It will run out on 31/12/23 and I have asked them to kindly extend the expiry date due to the troubles I’ve had with it but they won’t. Dreadful customer service, dreadful gift card, dreadful service. Save your money. They now have $100 of my friends money that I cannot use on the gift card, kind of theft don’t you think?

I received this card with a £50 credit as a Christmas present last year. I live in quite a rural location so no access to the restaurants the the card covers in my immediate areas. I had an opportunity to use the card recently (10/12/2023) but was unable to use it as the card had expired on 02/12/2023. I called to see whether they could reissue the credit - but they were unwilling. 12 months is not a long period to use the card. I would avoid buying one as a present and be wary about receiving one. Poor customer service. I suspect the business model is based on the assumption that a large number of cards will expire!

Had the cards as Xmas gifts in 2019 and couldnt use during Covid so we forgot about them. Lost £100. This is such a rip off because theyve been paid for so shouldn't have an expiry date.

Why is nothing being done about this company? Supermarkets etc still selling cards , voucher would not work in Zizzis complete waste of money

We were gift a voucher for £50.00 went to use it and couldn't and then called them got a recorded message to say that they would call back after 7 time still no call.
DO NOT BUY THE CARDS THE MOENY IS WASTED !!!!!

Have been given a Restaurant Choice card, went to use it and wouldn't work. Restaurant said to check online, tried online , can't log on, phoned on 0330 123 3471, balnce enquiry doesn't work and when ask to speak to advisor you get told they are not accepting calls and will call back. Been waiting 4 weeks and still no call, a very efficient SCAM!!! PLEASE DON'T BUY ANY CARDS FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Went to pay at Zizi and the card wouldn't work. You are supposed to be able to check the balance online but it said card invalid. They eventually got back to me and said it does have £50 on. After reading these reviews, I am not confident on using this successfully next time.
