Reedsy Reviews

Reedsy offers services for every stage of the writing/publishing process. As a new author I have found the templates, resources and opportunity to hire professionals very helpful. The website is well organized and offers free and paid services. There is much more to "writing a book" than just writing the book! Thank you!

It's an really amazing app I tried it many times and its really worth

Platform made easy for a task that would have otherwise taken me hours to do by myself!! Finding anyone to work on my book alongside me was effortless. I love Reedsy - it is the only platform I will use as a writer.

The Reedsy community is active all day every single day. I've received loads of help from Masterclass Sessions, Author/Director/Producer tips, building characters, stories, careers in writing that last. This place is a real gem for those hopeful writers seeking a support system. Reedsy keeps churning out Author support, you don't have to ask.

Reedsy offered a great range of top tier designers when I was looking for someone to design the cover for my self-published story collection. The site made it very easy for me to browse a range of relevant professionals, and to get quotes from them quickly. I love the artist I ended up working with, and by managing all of our interactions through Reedsy I now have a handy archive of our full collaboration. I liked it so much I've now put out a brief for another project as well.

Reedsy's contractors are excellent, true professionals who go above and beyond to help you. There are so many dodgy contractors out there and you can waste your money on poor quality work and unwillingness to truly collaborate. But with Reedsy you get what you pay for and more. Totally stress free.

I've been using Reedsy Studio to write and edit my story, and it has been an amazing tool. The interface is clean, easy to navigate, and makes the writing process smooth. Highly recommended for authors

I’ve used two different editors on reedsy for developmental edits so far and they have both been extremely communicative, not tried to change my book from what I want it to be and helped me developed it into something I think could really sell. I will continue to use reedsy in my writing journey

I have had an extremely great customer experience with Reedsy. As an Indie writer, it is quite comforting, to have a professional book editor on your side. Thank you

Great manuscript editing, cover design, and formatting. The copy and proof editor made some mistakes so I'd change that in the future.

My experience so far with reedsy has been great. I like that when you copy and paste something into reedsy it gives it a great format that makes it look professional. Its so easy to use and super user friendly as well. and the best part is there is tons of features that are free.

Working with Amanda has been such a wonderful experience. She has been exceptionally patient throughout the entire process and has an incredible ability to understand and capture my vision.

As a first-time author, creating this book has been a long journey with lots of details and revisions along the way, but Amanda made the illustration process feel seamless and genuinely enjoyable. She is incredibly talented, a great communicator, responsive, and so easy to work with.

I’m truly grateful for the care and creativity she brought to my book, and I couldn’t be happier with how the illustrations turned out. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a talented illustrator who is patient, collaborative, and committed to bringing your vision to life.

This is the most brilliant book writing platform ever. I cannot recommend it more I find it so easy to use and the layout is brilliant. I will be using this for all my books in the future.

Reedsy is the ultimate platform to write your first book. You can set a goal - both in terms of total amount of words and by which date you need to have it completed - and it automatically calculates how many words you'll need to write in a day. It's easy to divide sections into individual chapters - keeping everything nice and organised. There are also different features for fonts, etc etc. TOTS recommend!!

I attempted to upload a clean, standard 7MB .docx manuscript file to Reedsy Studio using Google Chrome. The file completely failed to upload multiple times. I went through extensive troubleshooting, including clearing background extensions via Chrome's Incognito mode and saving fresh versions of the file to rule out basic user errors. Reedsy's backend server scripts silently rejected the file with no feedback or error explanation. Relying on an aggressive importer that chokes on standard Microsoft Word formatting makes the platform incredibly frustrating for authors trying to work with full-length manuscripts.

Reedsy is a great site for laying out a book, formatting it and getting it prepared to go to market. It's simple and intuitive, asks all the right questions and makes certain that nothing is left out when preparing the book. It also let's you export the files in a couple of different formats.

What made my experience great was that you can write and publish your own books. And because each book gives you chapters to start one instead of writing them down.

I recently finished my first story working with an editor through Reedsy, and it was an incredible experience. She is extremely qualified, and I knew I was in great hands. Her feedback was thorough, helpful, and insightful, and I felt completely supported and encouraged from start to finish. The first round of feedback blew me away. The extensive notes she included showed her deep knowledge of publishing and the structure of the type of story I wanted to write. Highly recommend working with an editor through Reedsy!

Reedsy is the best platform for new and veteran writers alike. I've written my recent manuscript on their editing feature (and it's even received a partial request from an agent!). The site is easy to navigate and offers plenty of amazing resources. I commissioned an artist, Sofia Sanz, to create a cover for my book and had a wonderful experience. It's helped with marketing, sales, etc. Forever grateful for Reedsy! Highly recommend!
